Try here: Coveralls. He gives us a discount, too.

Or install a powerlet in the left panel behind the seat where there is already a (plugged) hole & then just plug your battery maintainer into that. That's what I did.

All of 'em.

Save your settings when messing with your battery.

Great idea! Where'd ya find it? -
Yeah, I've got 1 key, too, but it's cut different on each side because the 2nd time the ignition needed to be replaced Mama Yama wouldn't rekey it to work with the bags, trunk, helmet locks, so, now I just insert the key one way for some, the other way for the others. Works great.

Yep. My point exactly. I agree 100%.

I've got the REI Half Dome 2 (current price of $179). Given your size, you might opt for the slightly bigger Half Dome 2 Plus for another $20. Sets up in about 5-10 minutes, depending on how familiar with it you are. These are called 2-man tents, so, if it's just for you, it should be perfect. If you have someone with you, get a 3- or 4-man. Maybe something like the Camp Dome 4 for the same price as the Half Dome 2 Plus. Regardless of the price of these, if your trip is 10 days, you'll spend half as much for lodging in your tent as in the motels. More fun, too. And you can always spend a night in a motel if you feel like it. Don't know of the rule that says you "have to stay in a campground".

Oh. I know your type. Can't turn down a dare. So, just how tight were your cheeks squeezing anyway? No, not the ones on your face.

Hey, now I know who the real nut job is. I had no choice. You, on the other hand, had a choice. "Hmm. Let's see. Oh look. There's 6" of snow on the ground. Think I'll ride the bike to work." Glad that thought didn't pop into your head again.

Yesterday as I left work, I looked to the east where home is & saw very dark clouds. I thought, "Guess I'll be in quite the downpour by the time I get home." I also noticed it was quite cold. (My Gerbing's heated gloves are a joy.) So, as I reach the plateau (where I live), it's hailing. No big deal. Well, about a half-mile ahead it decides to dump with an accumulation of about a half-inch. Whoa! Tires a-slippin' & a slidin'. I'm down to a crawl between 5-10 mph, as are all the cagers. OK, I'm thinking I should just pull into the high school parking lot & park, call my wife at home & tell her she needs to pick me up there. Can't. No one will let me get into the right lane to turn into the lot. OK, maybe I can make it down the hill without an incident & go kind of the long way around to get home. Yeah, it's a flatter route once I get down that hill. I'm trying to stay in the tire tracks of the cagers while I'm thinking that everyone must think, "What is that guy doing? He must be an idiot riding a motorcycle in this kind of weather." All is well, so far. Now I'm at the light ready to turn left with the green arrow & this turn is about a 120 degree turn, with hail covering the ground, with wide wet painted lines for the crosswalk that I can hardly even see. "OK. I can do this. I hope." Going about 2-3 mph through this turn. Ah, made it. I'm puttin' along in 2nd gear (usually do this road in 4th). Half a mile later I must go through a round-about & make my exit at the 3rd right (270 degrees, 3/4 of the way around). Again, I'm only going walking speed through this round-about. OK, almost home. Only a 1/4 mile to go. I've got to start going uphill & then turn left into my driveway. Oh man, not looking forward to this. Driveway totally covered in hail. Successfully turn into driveway, tap my brakes twice to open the garage door, paddle through a 3 point turn so I can back into the garage. Yippee! Home safe. Sheesh! Talk about pucker power. Still icy this morning. Took the 4wd truck to work.

Yes, stereo on the right.

Over 4 hours without any replies! Well, I liked it.

Yep. It's supposed to be about the giving, isn't it? Pretty ungrateful kid. Me, too. Ain't that the truth! Maybe, but, as a kid I didn't always get what I wanted, but, I always wanted what I got. My uncle was a jeweler & I probably wouldn't have bought the pieces he gave me, but, I always liked them because of who it came from. It ain't old-fashioned, it's common sense & courtesy & gratefulness. No one owes me anything. You didn't have to put all that time, money & energy into the gift, but, you did it FOR THE KID. His folks need to set him straight. You did a wonderful thing. Now it's his loss, not yours. In spite of everything, Merry Christmas to you all.

Wow. That's the first I've heard of it. Pretty big dealer to just shut its doors like that. We bought our Yamaha Waverunner with trailer & Honda Reflex scooter there, among other things. Sorry to see it go.

For the believers

What a great song & message. -
+1 on the PIAA Extreme White Plus. Had mine for 5+ years without a failure. (Hope I didn't jinx it now.)

What about a trike?

Agreed. Aren't heated gloves great?!?! (Rhetorical question.) It has hit 34F the last 2 mornings here, but, the ground was dry, so, no possibility of ice, yet. Once we hit freezing, I'll have to be a little more careful about whether I ride the bike or take the truck. Even here near Seattle, I ride year 'round, as long as there's no ice on the roads. Below freezing & dry, I ride. I enjoy it even then. Of course, I'm not spending hours at a time on the bike at those temps. Don't know what that would be like. My ride is only 30 minutes to work & the protection of the fairing, windshield & heated gloves makes it quite nice.A few years ago, before my wife got me the heated gloves, my hands would hurt by the time I got to work. Not anymore.

Dano needs our prayers
awsmsrv replied to Freebird's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
Yeah, I noticed that, as well. I bet most of us did. It would probably be better to leave it unsaid for now. True, for now we don't know if it would have made a difference. What matters most now is Dano's well-being. Let's pray for his recovery, help in other ways if we can & leave the out of the conversation. -
I guess there are some cases where a turntable makes sense, but, couldn't you just back the bike into the garage? That's what I do. Would be kind of hard if one's driveway has an UPWARD incline of any nature in it..Appears to sound like yours does not. Mine doesn't either, and I just sit on mine and push, walk it backwards out of the garage using my legs, but sometimes I just hit the reverse button..

Don't overlook the BlackBerry Playbook. My wife just got one & it works over wi-fi or is an extension of her (or my) BlackBerry Smart Phone. If there is no wi-fi, but there is cellular service, it can still wander the web. I really like it. Nice form factor, too. Only 7 inches vs 10 inches for the iPad. Everyone's got their opinions, likes & dislikes. Get what works best for you.
