Yep, me too. My passing lamps & bar arrived just before Christmas. I bought the V Star lamps with replaceable halogens instead of the Venture sealed beam lamps. I also got the wire harness, relay & lighted switch from Eastern Beaver to finish off the installation right. Oh yeah, got the lightbar extension bracket, too.

I have the Xtreme White Plus that includes a heavier filament & I believe an extra support post that resists vibration. Perfect for a bike. I'm very happy with this bulb: 4000K color & I have the H3 Xtreme White in the passing lamps at 4150K color. Both are very white compared to a "normal" yellowish halogen.

Yes, my wife & I were really tempted to buy one while in Europe 4 years ago to have shipped back here. I love that little car. They are not cheap now. Is he selling it?

Will these still work with the passing lamp spacer (extension bracket)?

Another Couple Questions: I don't need anything more than the 2 bolts & 2 lock washers? Don't I need nuts on the back of the bolts? (No wise cracks, either.) Do the rubber bumpers on the fork wind deflectors still work in the new position?

Submitted by Tony Dathan. Problem: One of the common complaints about the Yamaha passing light kit for the RSV is that it mounts so close to the fairing that removing the fairing becomes very difficult requiring one to either remove or loosen the passing light bracket. Installation: When the bracket arrives you will need 2 3/8" NC x 3/4" long bolts and lock washers. I got these at Home Depot for under two bucks. Undo your light bar. Use the 8mm bolts to fasten the bracket where the light bar was and then using the 3/8" bolts bolt the light bar to the bracket. Most of us that have the bracket can now split the fairing without touching the light bar or at least just loosening it a few turns. Might depend on the actual lights you have. Basically you undo the light bar, put the bracket where the bar was, then mount the light bar to the bracket! How to get one: You can contact me at dathan@shaw.ca The price at this time is $27.50 USD. That includes the postage as well! The following are some shots I've taken in the past! #5 shows the clearance between the back of the light and the fairing. This started as a way of my being able to clean between the light and the fairing. Taking the fairing off without touching the light bar was just a huge bonus! Attached Thumbnails Sorry to bring this up again, but, I can't find these bolts at Home Depot or anywhere else. Must they be this exact size? The salesman I spoke with didn't know what NC was. I don't either. And is it two & three eighths by three quarters or the quantity 2 of size three eighths by three quarters. Could the NC mean non-corrosive, i.e., stainless steel? Finally, what do the numbers refer to? As you can see, I'm not too mechanical. Thanks in advance for being gentle. LOL

Still riding every day here near Seattle. This week looks good. Just hit 9k miles for the year, so far, with December still to go. No trips this year. Maybe next year.

Since there are 3 2G pins unclaimed as of yesterday (11/20/2009), they are now available to anyone else that wants them. I also have plenty of the 1G pins available, too.

Those of you in the list below who indicated you wanted 2G pins, but, have not sent payment, I have included in the total number, so, don't worry, the 0 left does not include your pins.
