  1. Since I'm at work & can't look it up, can someone tell me if the fuel pump is in the tank? This morning I started off to work, as usual. Got about a half mile up the road & bike starts stumbling. Oh yeah. Forgot to flip petcock yesterday back to reserve. I usually don't put it to "ON", but, just to keep things working, I turned it down. Turned it back to reserve, but, bike will hardly start, if it starts at all, then dies within 15 seconds or so. I was actually going to get gas before heading to work, as I was 14 miles into "F". Good thing from my home to where I was, is all up hill, so, I turned around & coasted back down the hill to home & took the truck to work. I've heard it's not good to run the gas down to empty if the fuel pump is in the tank because it uses the gas as a lubricant & coolant & if you're that low, it could damage the fuel pump. Is this an issue with this bike? I've never had a problem like this before & I almost always fill up with about 5.25-5.75 gallons. I now have 40K miles on it & another 7 months on the warranty, so, if it is the fuel pump, I assume it's covered. Any other ideas out there? I guess it could also be a clogged fuel filter? Thanks.
  2. That's great. Thanks, Boss.
  3. Here it is.
  4. Actually, with the conversion to USD, shipping included comes to $84.72. Seems pretty reasonable to me. I just may get those. They're available at BikeVis.
  5. Just tried to go to Diamond R to take a look at the fork air deflectors (since it doesn't look like any more will be made here by our friend Ruffy) & got a "Forbidden" message. Anyone know anything about this?
  6. Wow! Never knew that was there. Thanks, Boss.
  7. Not to hijack the thread, but, is there somewhere that lists who all the moderators are? I think I know of 6 of them, but, those new to the site might not know. Thanks.
  8. Depending on your $$ situation, you could try the Schuberth C3 here. webBikeWorld has a write-up on it. Helmet is supposed to be pretty quiet. +1 My wife & I have this, as well. We love it. The new G4 is supposed to have about double the range of the Q2 & can connect up to 4 people (the Q2 up to 3 people). We really like no wires & a pretty good range when we're on separate bikes. If someone calls me while on the bike, they don't even know I'm on it. It's that quiet.
  9. Hey, what's in the bag on the 750?
  10. Yeah, I got that, too, Don. Thanks.
  11. OK. Guess I should supply a little more info. They carry motorcycle flags & poles. I've purchased from them in the past (very nice people), but, now they seem to be gone. Just wondering if anyone knew anything.
  12. Anyone know if they went out of business? Can't find them anymore.
  13. My "+1" was referring to the F2P (Flash to Pass) system. It's typically tapped into the high beam & when you quickly flash it twice, it activates your garage door. Since I have a headlight modulator that can be turned off or on with a quick flash to the high beam & back to the low beam (or vice versa), I thought it would interfere with the F2P. Therefore, I hooked up the F2P to my brake lights. Hope that clarifies my meaning.
  14. +1 I tapped into the brake lights instead of the high beam. Tap the brakes lightly twice & "open says me".
  15. All I have to do is flip the switch to high beam & back or to low beam & back to stop the modulation. Do it again to return to modulation.
  16. We have the Sears Kenmore Elites, also basically the same. We love them, as well, & they also use about ¼ the amount of water. Very efficient machines.
  17. I plug mine in every time I get home. I have a CTEK US 800 charger/maintainer that also senses when the battery is not fully charged. Sometimes when I plug it in as soon as I get home, it shows full charge, sometimes not. It seems when I ride a little harder, it doesn't show that charging is needed, but, just sitting there awhile will eventually go to charging. Even then it doesn't charge for long, just tops it up. My bike's a 2006 with the original battery & I've had no issues at all with it. I choose to think it helps, but who knows. Peace of mind, if nothing else. My .
  18. Now, that's funny. Made me laugh out loud.
  19. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
  20. 56. Got my 2006 new in 2006. Love it. 37K miles, so far.
  21. Not with a full face helmet.
  22. I agree with the SweatVac Headwear. I've got a few like these.
  23. They're 1".
  24. Hey Boss, Is there a way to download the VentureRider calendar, i.e., ical? If there is, I can't find it. If not, don't want you to work harder than you already do. Thanks.
