Yes, I have the Dynamic Clusters & I love 'em. Extra running/brake lights with the turn signals incorporated & they're all much brighter than the original incandescents. I also have the trunk wing LED & I added some flexible ribbon strips (LED) to the chrome pieces that the saddle bags attach to. So, I've got lots & lots of brake lights that flash for the first second of activation. I've also got the KnightRider turn signal bars that I installed on my mirrors. The last thing I want to do is replace the eyebrows on the fairing with amber LED flexible ribbon strips as additional front running/turns. If someone claims they couldn't see me (coming OR going), they are truly blind or a liar. Anyway, you'll love those Dynamic Clusters.

How do you pick this d***n thing up!!!

The DVD, Ride Like A Pro will show you how. It's heavy, but the right technique will get it upright. Your wife/girlfriend could do it with the right technique. -
I'm reviving this thread to find out what the cost would be to have you make me a set, regardless of 15 more needed sets. I know it's just a matter of time until mine crack/break since I have the light bar spacer, which means no bumpers to keep the wind from wrecking them. Thanks.

Yes, key is on. Thanks, I'll try that. Seems odd, if this works, that directly to the battery would work the other way. I'll let you guys know my results tomorrow when I can try it. Thanks.

OK. I've added some red flexible LED strips to the chrome pieces behind the saddlebags on my 2nd Gen Venture to augment my brake lights, but, I can't get them to work. I know the strips work because when I connect them directly to the battery, they work. I tried wiring them to the yellow wire (brake) & a black ground wire to no avail. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Take a look at this thread: post #38 (the last post). This is what I did to mine.

Really? I didn't realize that. I did notice it quits about 5 miles after you fill up. I'll have to do that on my next tankful. Learn sumpin' every day.

I've got a BlackBerry 8830, dowmloaded TapaTalk, but, get a message saying it's been decomissioned. Does that mean I must buy a different version? The one I downloaded is a Beta version. Thanks.

Heck, I can already read, post, etc., from my BlackBerry with the mobile Bolt browser. The built-in BB browser is not that good. Opera Mini isn't bad either, but, I've been using Bolt for quite awhile now. What advantage does Tapatalk give you?

HID install pics, plus some extras

Hey Hotrod, I just bought some strips from Oznium that are only about $70 (I've bought a lot of lights from Custom Dynamics, too). I have yet to receive them, but, I'm getting two 3' long ones and will wire them up as brakes only (for more contrast). I'm going to run them where Ruffy has his, but, will run all the way along that chrome piece behind the saddlebags. That way they'll be seen even from the side. They have adhesive backing, so just peel & stick. That means about 28", so, I'll have to cut some off, but, I'd rather do that than be too short with the 2' long ones. If you only go with the 2' long strips, you'll only pay about $50. Couldn't believe it when I saw yours, Ruffy. I guess great minds think alike. -
Woohoo! Now that I know it's fake, all I gotta do is track you down. With your bad knees, back & shoulder problems, you'll never catch me.

You can get the Yamaha V Star Passing Lamps with H3 bulbs & replace the bulbs with PIAA Extreme White Plus bulbs. They will work with the Venture Passing Lamp Bar. That's what I did.

How Happy Are With Your Auto Cancelling Turn Signals
awsmsrv replied to YamaDude's topic in Watering Hole
Yeah, they're based on distance and/or time. I don't remember exactly what the numbers are, but, I do know that if you stop and/or keep the brake on, they'll keep flashing until you reach that given amount of time or distance (once you go again). Since I went to all LEDs, I replaced my turn signal module with a no load one, therefore, no auto-cancel. I actually prefer it because I like to signal a little earlier on the bike than in the cage. Now they don't turn off before I'm ready to turn them off. Personal preference. YMMV.
