  1. Blondes have more fun. But maybe I'm a little partial.
  2. "We'll pull all the 1st gens around with lights on to set up the tent!" Wouldn't this act of kindness turn into a disaster. I mean the tent will melt, those trying to help will suffer 2nd degree burns, planes will try to land, and so on. So, maybe just a FEW lights. See you guys there Peg!
  3. Just a few short trips this year. Oberlin, OH first part of June. Asheville mid July. Marble Falls, AR first part of Aug. (see any pattern here?) Maybe Branson sometime.

  7. I insure through the "Old folks club" and just got my homeowners bill. 28% increase and I've had no claims. Waiting to see what auto/bike will be. Yes, I am shopping. Gotta keep an eye on 'em
  8. Try this link (I hope) http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=29875 I asked for some info on building a hitch and got some good insight.
  9. 1972 Honda 750 full chopper. Savoir sprung frame. 16" over springer. Ape hangers beyond reason. It rode terrible and handled worse, but looked cool. That's all I cared about back then. Sherman, set the Wayback machine for early 70's PLEASE!
  10. Gunbus 440 (cu.in) NOT cc. Think it's photoshop. Check Gunbus 440
  11. They did a show on 'Charlie Parkers' Cafe' 700 North St.; in Springfied, Il. Nothing fancy but worth checking out. 50's setting in a quanset building. Reasonable prices & good food
  12. Cushmans at a Venture Rally? Great idea! My first solo ride was on - you guessed it - a Cushman. They bring back good memories of a simpler time.
  13. Are you afraid to go out after dark? Then you need this! http://www.impactlab.com/2008/03/02/fmg9-prototype-9mm-folding-submachine-gun/
  14. Here's a catchy little song (in english) that pretty well sums it up. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEJfS1v-fU0]YouTube - Press One For English[/ame]
  15. Better have a CLEAN floor when pushing sideways. I went and tried this with one of my car wheel dollies. Worked OK but little hard to get centerstand down due to height of dollie. Easy build for a DIYer.
  16. And she has them bada$$ dogs.
  17. Being nice & quiet only makes those around you wonder what you're up to.
  18. Gambit: The controls on G1 may look intimidating, but they are not. YOU have to decide what you want. A sleek looking powerhouse loaded with style and reasonably comfortable (G1) or just a run of the mill thing that could be mistaken for something it is not (G2) The choice is yours
  19. If the wife starts in about how much you spend on cleaning stuff, chrome, accesories, etc. just ask her what she spends on makeup. Nuff said.

  21. Looks like the driver wasn't paying attention and rearended that 'gator
  22. Been into a lot of solenoids over the years. Few bikes, most bigger stuff. All the solenoid is an electromagnetic heavy duty contactor. That small wire should have current when you press 'Start'. That energizes the magnet pulling the contacts together. Same thing as a screwdriver across the big lugs. I have had success taking them apart and cleaning (filing) contacts. BE CAREFUL as the wire inside is TINY. If you can't find the replacement, and there's room, just get an old Ford solenoid at local parts store. About $15. 2 big post and one small. Last one I priced new was for Goldwing and it was $85. About an hour tinkering saved $. Look at it this way, it's already bad so you can't hurt it any more by trying to fix it. Good luck
  23. A donation can I don't believe is soliciting. It is a CONVIENCE for those who wish to help out a good cause. Just my worth
  24. Way to go. Gotta agree with ECK. Personal satifaction + you didn't have to give a shop mega $.
