  1. Same here, but shipped to Virginia. Very nice setup. You did an outstanding job. Chris
  2. There are some bags that attach to your gas tank as well made for small dogs (under 15 pounds). Now for a bigger dog, I know they make trailers for them. I saw one just the other week with a german shephard. Very nice set up.
  3. Contact Rick Butler on this site. He'll get you straight. He reworked my cushion top seats and they are much more comfortable now. I went from an hour of riding to all day. No more pain. His turnaround was fast also, so minimal down time. Just search under members and PM him.
  4. Ruffy, put me in for a set as well. Thanks. Chris
  5. I have the same pipes. Slid right on, tightened the clamps and I was done. No leaks and no use of silicon. Mine are very loud and I just packed them today. Much better as far as noise.
  6. Best advice is not to bring the camper anywhere near DC. Lots of things to do. Metro is the best bet. If you would like a personal tour of the Pentagon, let me know. Just PM me and I will either set you up for a tour and/or take you on one myself. I work from 1PM to 9PM so anytime in the evening is good. Plus the 9/11 memorial looks better at night anyway if you get a chance to see it. Chris
  7. Very nice. Happy Easter. I wish I could be there, but at least I got to ride today. Warming up ever so slowly.
  8. Plans have changed for me and the lady. A switch in the weekends her ex has the kids puts them back with us that weekend. So no riding for us. Hopefully next time.

    Helmet Help

I live in Virginia and pretty warm here too. I have a Fulmer Flip Face. Love it and it hasa the extra ear space for speakers. The helmet works well as I just crashed in February. Face and shoulder hit the road first. Helmet stayed latched closed and did it's job. No head injuries of any kind. You can't buy them online, but you can go to their website and find a dealer near you that sells them. $149 for mine and it's silver.
  10. Thanks Randy for all the great stuff. Already wore the shirts and love them. I got a lot of questions about them as well. So advertising does pay off. I'll let you know when I'm back in the area. Thanks. Chris
  11. Check the Meet and Eats forums. I'm sure someone from your area or at least close by is doing one or planning one soon. Enjoy and welcome aboard.
  12. I had noticed those as well. The flex arrays are very nice. I was looking at them as marker lights to add to the sides of the bike or something, but expensive. I believe most of us here use a 50 led light you can get from most auto zones and add resistors to make it running and brake. You can get those for under $25. Then there are the ones from DiamondR that alot of folks use as well.
  13. Rick did mine as well. He received it on a Friday and I had it back the following Thursday. 2 weeks total. Just got it on the other week and finally got to ride, 150 miles total and it's the best I've felt since owning the bike. No lower back pain or having to adjust in the seat. Best mod I've done yet. Thanks Rick.
  14. I'm looking to have wheel removed, tire removed and replaced with the car tire. I will probably go with the Federal tire.
  15. I've read pretty much everything I can about the car tire on the rear of the bike. I'm willing to give it a try. Now, the question is, is there anyone in or near VA to give me a hand? I'm even willing to come to you to put it on. I've never done a tire change and would just feel more comfortable with someone that has done it.
  16. Me and the lady may be making this one as well. I should have the bike back together from the accident by then. David, let me know where you might want to meet as we get closer to the date. So count me in for 2.
  17. The lady and I are planning a trip to the Southern most point in the US in Key West. Probably around June will be are departing time. Then some short trips throughout the summer to the mountains and so on. First thing is to get my bike back together from the accident, which will be done soon. Just in time for spring.
  18. Frogg Toggs here as well and they are great. I also use the Firstgear 1-peice suit for the cold weather and it is waterproof as well and works great in the cold rain.

  20. Crash, I gave your info to a friend of mine that has been looking for awhile. He's been trying to get my 05 Silver from me for years. Although I just wrecked mine. Insurance didn't total it, but if they did, I was going to be knocking on your door. Anyway, I hope he contacts you and you guys can make a deal. Price is right for a beautiful bike. Would you consider selling the trailer seperately? Chris
  21. I had just talked with him last week myself. I just sent him my seats, and he should have them any time now if he hasn't gotten them already.
  22. Here's to a speedy recovery.
  23. I wear glasses and wear the Fulmer modular. You can't buy Fulmer's online so you'll have to find a dealer near you, which their website can help out with. I paid $150 for mine. After going down last week and the helmet and my shoulder being the first to hit the pavement, I can say that I swear by that helmet and will by a new one once the bike is back together. Very comfy, safe and lots of padding. Great for the speakers for your helmet if you use them.
  24. Mine was making that same noise with the Dunlops. Sounds like a truck with oversized tires humming by. I switched out to the Michelin Commanders and now have a smooth and quiet ride.
  25. Thanks for all the well wishes. State police was pretty pathetic in investigating this accident. Even with the detailed description and only 1 place they went, community college campus, they did nothing. Insurance is being ok so far. They took my sworn statement and said that my collision would cover it, but if the police report ruled it the other vehicles fault, my uninsured motorists coverage would cover it and if they could find out who was driving the truck, I wouldn't have to pay anything. Well I'm sure I'll probably be getting option 2 there, but I will be heading back to that campus this week to find that truck. And as Sleeperhawk said, with my connections I will know who and where this person lives in a matter of minutes. Looks like I'll be doing my own accident investigation.
