  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Have a great day.
  2. This is where I get most of my conversion bulbs. Great products and company. www.superbrightleds.com
  3. Been following this now since the beginning. I understand the friendship thing, but also understand where texsturgis is coming from as well. Look at it this way, if you really want to find out what she is up to, on the next ride bring an unannounced female friend to ride with you and explain to her that she needs to ride with her boyfriend. You can still share your enjoyment of motorcycles, but now each male is paired up. Only then will you find out if it's truly a friend thing for both you and her, or she's using you as a "tool". Try it!!!
  4. Won't be going David but have fun and be safe. George, learn that stuff good, I'll be after David. Also going to have to get those gauges too!!
  5. I have both the 130 and Links installed. Never any problems with the handling. No problems with high speed or low speeds even while pulling my trailer. I run Michelin Commanders on front and back.
  6. Go to Ebay and search for "motorcycle pet carriers". They have a good selection at reasonable prices and various mounting positions. One may work for you. Here's a link: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=motorcycle+pet+carriers&_sacat=See-All-Categories Chris
  7. Mechanic, you guys coming to the VA Meet and Eat on the 17th right? I'm probably going to be able to make this one. Hope to see you there.
  8. I was just planning the Polished Aluminum or chrome. Both look nice with the silver. May check with Riderduke to see if and when he can go then see if it's ok with you. Thanks.
  9. I can't believe David is getting all this attention. You know George, I like those gauges you have there in place of the tape deck, I can order a pair and come visit too. I can even bring David back.
  10. Very nice. Color turned out well once you got it all back together.
  11. Great thank you so much. Zip code is 22701, just let me know the price and I will send via PayPal or any way you want. Thanks.
  12. Does anyone happen to have stock mufflers lying around. More than willing to pay a price and shipping for them. Not quite sure if I want to get rid of the Baron's for good yet, but want to try stock again since it has been so long. Thanks for the help.
  13. Here's a link to the thread in the tech library to fix those for you Jerry. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=516
  14. I had a York system on my house, placed there by the builder. It crapped out in 3 years. York is horrible. I have natural gas with A/C. I switched to a Trane and love it. Energy bills went down and the house feels much warmer during the winter. I also installed the humidifier on the system which is the best money I've ever spent. I highly suggest one as I keep the temperature lower, but it feels warmer with the humidity. Plus no more dry noses or skin. I also had a Goodman at my previous house which ran for 18 years before I replaced it with another. Good luck on whatever you choose.
  15. Ruffy, can you move me to the bottom of the list? I may be selling the bike due to unforseen events. I really don't want to add these if I sell it. I'll keep you posted if I sell or not. Thanks. Chris
  16. David, maybe we can talk George into coming up and do your bike and mine at the same time. I'll feed them and you can room them!! lol. George, I'll let you cut my plastic anyday. You did an excellent job.
  17. David and Mini, I will have to watch you 2. I know you 2 like to stir the pot!!
  18. That's what I know and that's why I won't post exactly where. Riderduke reads this stuff to often and I know him to well!!
  19. Well, the better half and I are finally going to make it official next month and get married. We've been seeing each other for over 2 an a half years. Alot of first for both of us, she has kids and I have none. Alot of getting used to but it's the greatest now. She didn't like motorcycles, and now I can't leave without her. I'm so excited and can't wait until November 21. We'll be doing it in Luray, VA. Very private and quiet. Just her and I. How great it is when you've found that one.
  20. I have the commanders on mine and love them. Put both on with 16000 miles, went down at 20000 miles and they now have 24000 miles and still look pretty new. Have been pulling a trailer for about the last 3000 miles and you can see some wear in the middle, but not much. Wet weather handling is great.
  21. Don, as I used to book "cruises only" as a travel agent, all of the cruise lines listed are great cruise lines. You may want to look at Royal Caribbean as well and take off Carnival. Nothing against Carnival, but they usually cater to a younger crowd. I've had some complaints from older folks (over 30 crowd) that I booked, but price on Carnival will be cheaper. Holland America is also another great line. When looking, ask your agent what they can get for free for you and your group if you can book a certain number of rooms. That's important. I booked a group cruise on Costa last year with 10 rooms booked and was able to get my guests $50 per person onboard credit, a free bottle of champagne and strawberries in their room when they board and a 1 hour free cocktail party which included drinks and snacks for the entire hour at no charge (drink as much as you want). If you can book at least 8 rooms, most will give you these perks, so shop around and let me know if you need anything. Chris
  22. I live in Culpeper and will be getting a set. I've never done it before, but the instructions from Goose don't sound to bad. I will be trying it. If I feel comfortable with it, I'll let you know and you can come on up.
  23. Thanks Ponch. I'll be looking for it in the classifieds.
  24. Great, just let me know cost for the polished with everything and lots of instructions. I should be ok then.
