  1. You know its coming. This is the year!! :banana:
  2. I would love for Sleeperhawk to have this! [ame] [/ame]
  3. To my Sleeperhawk. You are my partner, my sweetheart, my confidante, my adviser, my comforter and friend. You are my quiet place away from the rest of the world. All the stars, moon, sun and each and every beautiful thing of nature remind me of our relationship, our love, our romance, our chemistry. Each and every moment of life is like a celebration with you. Nothing in this world could ever be as wonderful as the love you’ve given me. You make my days so very bright and just right, just knowing you are my true love. I am glad that I am able to share my life with you. You have made my life complete. Always and forever … that’s how long I’ll love you. Happy Anniversary, Honey!
  4. Happy Birthday Sleeperhawk!!! :Crazy_139:
  5. Well, Sleeperhawk totally surprised me today with my Christmas present, which I never dreamed I would get to do! He got me the Nascar Racing Experience! I will get to drive an original Nascar driven by a Nascar driver of my choice, Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, etc. on a race track, the two closest to us being Darlington and Charlotte. Any recommendations on which track to do this? Sounds like a meet and eat time too when I schedule a date! I have several dates to pick from in 2012 so I will post when we go up there! Thank you, Sleeperhawk, for an incredible gift. I love you!!!
  6. :Crazy_139:to you :Crazy_139:to you :Crazy_139:Dear Sleeperhawk To you :happy65::happy34:
  7. Well, let the video speak for itself! Sleeperhawk is still speechless!!! http://www.bitoffun.com/video_vault/call-her-crusher.html :scared:'>:scared:
  8. So many kudos to the very knowledgeable folks here! Had my ignition short out today and between the how too's here in the library, long distance telephone help from Eck and Sleeperhawk, and FLB's quick site pictures and clarification, I got a switch installed to by pass and get the bike going! This site is so full of great members!!!!!!! Thanks all!
  9. I was shocked too see that even Four_Paws99 was among the group I believe That Bull was the ring leader to steal most of my liquid refreshments :rotfl:Info just came in that Sleeperhawk was in it too
  10. Yesterday our Yamaha dealer in Sumter had his annual open house. In spite of the slight rain, Pecker joined us for the ride over. We ran into Mike G while we were there!. The first picture shows Sleeperhawk and Pecker wiping down their bikes (both bikes were immaculate when we left the house!) The second one is Sleeperhawk trying out the seat Mike G has on his bike! Because of the threat of rain, a lot of people did not ride their bikes, but it was a great turn out! They had a live band with food vendors and prizes. The dealer was offering free dyno runs so both guys had their bikes tested. Sleeperhawk's Venture reached 71.2 HP at 99 mph and Peckers' Royal Star Tour Deluxe made it at 72.6 HP at 111 mph. :thumbsup2:There was a great difference between the sound of their bikes and some Road Stars that were being tested. The Road Stars sounded anemic! The last picture is of a flashlight that Jacque got for George to use for the bike and it came in handy today when George was checking the wiring on the bike (I did not have to hold a flashlight all that time!)
  11. Knocked off #12 yesterday, #6 today! It's going to be an Orange season!
  12. I need to know, please, how many are coming to our house to spend the night for Savannah M&E the weekend of November 14. I believe both bedrooms are already spoken for (parties please confirm);:draming:The big couch is reserved for Riderduke:whistling: and I think Mimi's going to crash out on the smaller couch. The bunkhouse is available, just bring sleeping bags as we have four or five air mattresses, as well as blankets and pillows! I want to be sure to have everything ready as much as I can before I leave for Alabama that Thursday evening. I will not be here to supervise! so it needs to run as smooth as silk for Sleeperhawk so he can enjoy!. Attendees staying at our place as far as we know are: Sleeperhawk (George) Riderduke (David) Painterman67 (David) and wife Laura Venturing Sole (DAVID) Stoker ace (Mike) and wife Denise aamcotrans (Rob) and wife Clare Mini-muffin (Margaret) Additional people riding with this group Saturday from Columbia: Pecker (Dave) (aka Dave38x) Wanderer (Ted) Barend and wife Brenda So please update this list! I want to be sure that George will have plenty of STRONG coffee on hand! I'll miss you guys :crying:but know I am doing the right thing helping Jacque that weekend.
  13. Sleeperhawk is in the process of installing his new instrument panel. He had painted it this week and it really looks good! Pecker came over to help and supervise. Wanderer and Patricia came by a little while ago to get the rear tire removed and Ted was taking it to town to get a car tire mounted on the rim. He just got back and they are in the process of putting it back on the bike. More pictures to come later! (By the way, Sleeperhawk cringed at the first drilling into the front panel!)
  14. Lewis enticed a Hooter's girl to assist in the auctioning off of the Baron Nasty Boy pipes donated by Sleeperhawk. Sleeperhawk rode out to pick her up. See the shocked look on Jamie's face. Thanks to her hard work, the pipes brought in $225.00 for St. Jude's!
  15. Well, I tried! Humm, it is in our garage with the key in it! A new Venture Rider member in Columbia came by for Sleeperhawk to check out his 2002 Venture with 22,000 miles! After a carb tune and Sleeperhawk taking it for a test ride, Wagmwake's bike is in great shape! Soooo, we have another riding buddy here! By the way, check out my new cup holder! Ordered it last Thursday and the guy shipped it out the same day. I got it today and Sleeperhawk put it for me! Thanks, Barefoot Willie's! Now I will stay cool on the way to Ashville this weekend!
  16. After a delay due to rain, we are heading west! YEE HAW! Sleeperhawk got his Zumo installed last night and by the way, Buddy Rich, thanks for getting the cable to us so quickly! Here are pictures of the bike LOADED to the Pony's rear! I tried putting the kitchen sink on, but there Sleeperhawk drew the line! We will keep you posted! Ride safe, Bobbie P.S. The first of many pictures to come!
  17. Sleeperhawk or Mechanic lately?
  18. This is an interesting graph indicating the cost of gas over the U.S.! Zoom out and also move your cursor over to see the price ranges over the whole country! It looks like Sleeperhawk and I will be getting gas a little bit cheaper on our big trip next week! http://www.wistv.com/Global/category.asp?C=92317
  19. After diligently searching for two weeks for rhubarb in the local stores, I finally found some at our Kroger store soooooo last night I made a rhubarb pie. :cool10: Sleeperhawk said "Not too bad!" If I can find rhubarb in the store before our South Carolina Meet and Eat, I will make one!
  20. After a good night's rest and a few cups of coffee , Wild Hare is on the road again, heading west on I-20 towards Atlanta! Where he stops next, only Sleeperhawk and Mechanic know!!!!:cool10: P.S. I took over 650 pictures of this weekend, have edited them down to about 619 and Sleeperhawk will start the tedious task of uploading them to Photobucket later!:)
