  1. Sorry about the delay folks. SilvrT was kind enough to create a file that we THINK will work to add the Canadian postal codes but I just haven't got around to trying it yet. I'm out of town and last night had to setup for a trade show that starts this morning. I promise I will get to it ASAP. I just want to make time I have sure to repair anything that goes wrong when I do it. All I have to do is try and import the new file into the existing database and I will create a copy of the existing database before I do so. Therefore, there should be absolutely no chance of any major problems but......well......you just never know.
  2. James, I don't have a collector but I did just send you a donation. Wish it could have been more but hope it helps.
  3. If it is cracked horizontally right about the area where at the top of the engine guard, it is a fairly common thing to happen. You may get it replaced under warranty if your bike is still under warranty. Several here have.
  4. SOOOOoooooooo...........she finally admits that she lied about being totally innocent all those other times.
  5. Brad, I assume that you've tried twisting them? That's the way I usually get them to break loose.
  6. There were a few folks at maintenance day that wanted shirts but hadn't placed an order. I promised to find out if there was enough interest to place another order. If you didn't get a Maintenance Day shirt but are interested in one, please pose here. If there is enough interest, I'll order some more but there are minimum quantities required to get a halfway decent price.
  7. James, From what I'm reading between the lines, she didn't want you to know that it was still in the shop and not fixed. Don't sweat it my man, she was probably just trying to make sure that you didn't get upset. Sounds like you have enough on your plate right now. Do you have a PayPal account? If so, shoot me your PayPal email address. I would be happy to donate a few bucks to the cause. Don
  8. I'm pretty sure that everybody knows who we are by now but just to join in, here is a picture of Eileen and I. Eileen is the pretty one. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20MD%202010/IMG_8124.jpg
  9. I have 5 or 6 bells left.
  10. I think the Ultra is a beautiful bike and there would be one parked beside my RSV too if I could afford/justify it.
  11. I'm not sure if Eddie has any large patches available, you would have to contact him. I have small patches and decals.
  12. Yes, it means MAYBE? SilvrT has sent me back the csv file. I'll see if I can get it to work. Will try to get on it tonight.
  13. For the passing lamps, look for a switch beside the power outlet on the left side of the front fairing. That is where a lot of them are installed. Also, some are wired so that they only come on with the low beams even when the switch is on. As for the turn signals, how are you testing them? They will not automatically cancel if you are sitting still.
  14. Unfortunately, I THINK Charlie forgot to take Quickstep. I'm not sure because I had to leave for Cincinnati on Monday but I think I saw him sitting on the counter when I left. I'll look when I get home on Saturday.
  15. Great to hear from you and a big thanks to Dianne for keeping us updated. Now don't worry about that big ol' brute of a nurse...you just tell him that if he gives you a hard time..we've got a little cupcake for him. Glad you are feeling better but you are under order from ALL of us to take care of yourself.
  16. I'm going to email you one of the sql files that are currently used.
  17. Wow....that hurts...that REALLY hurts.... that you would suspect ME of such a thing....
  18. According to the classifieds developer, the program is written to accept the alpha numeric codes.
  19. Yea, the zip code database seems to have some errors. I have tried updating it a couple of times but it is still not perfect. The problem with adding the Canadian postal codes is that there does not seem to be a list that can easily be converted. The US zip codes are available for free so the programmer of the classifieds software included the data base with the software. There seems to be no free version of the Canadian codes. I could purchase one but then it would most likely not be in the correct format and would have to be totally modified before it could be imported. Here is what is required. Maybe we have somebody here who would be willing to tackle it. Here are the fields in our zipcode database, As stated as long as you can find a zipcode cvs file with this information then it could be manipulated into the format of the zipData database. CREATE TABLE zipData ( zipcode varchar(6) NOT NULL default '', ZipCodeType char(3) NOT NULL default '', City varchar(128) NOT NULL default '', CityType char(3) NOT NULL default '', State varchar(64) NOT NULL default '', StateCode varchar(5) NOT NULL default '', AreaCode int(5) NOT NULL default '0', lat varchar(8) NOT NULL default '', lon varchar(8) NOT NULL default '') ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8; so if you can find a canadian zip code cvs and format the data in the proper row sequence you can import that right into the zipdata database. The area code field is not needed so there could just be a blank row used there. There is one available here but I don't know how out of date it is: http://www.populardata.com/downloads.html
  20. Illegal? That's no good. There MUST be some place you can leave them. Do they some kind of designated drop area? NOT that I would ever leave MINE anywhere.
  21. More good ones. A LOT of pictures taken this year. Thanks for posting them.
  22. Kent answered the technical part so I'll just say that no, I didn't notice any difference in the way it runs. I wouldn't expect to though because like he said, all were technically within spec. There is a real peace of mind factor though in knowing that they are OK. It was worth doing and very good training. It is a good sized job and I would dread doing it again but am confident that I could do so.
  23. Great job as usual. It can never be said that our meets aren't well documented.
  24. Sorry my friend. To post what I was thinking would require me to violate my own rule of the site's PG rating.
