  1. Well heck...maybe I'll just keep my 550 for now. It has been completely trouble free. I may wait a while until they get the bugs worked out of the 665.
  2. No, you can find them between 8 and 9 hundred. The 665 comes with the puck so that is not extra on it.
  3. Yes, it's in good shape and I've never had a problem of any kind with it. If anybody is interested, let me know.
  4. Yes, we do get a discount. Did you tell him you are a member here? I don't know if the cables on the TD or longer or not. I went with the longer SS lines when I installed my Flanders bars. Several here have installed them and stayed with the stock cables. I think they had to do a bit of re-routing but made them work.
  5. I've been kicking around the idea of upgrading to the 665 just because of the larger screen. I wonder though what a used 550 is worth? Think I could get $500 for it WITH the XM puck? I did upgrade the maps on it a couple of months ago.
  6. You are all VERY FUNNY people. Believe it or not, I actually mentioned to Eileen that maybe we should have two a year. One in the spring and one in the fall. Don't worry though, the doctors say that I should fully recover in a few weeks.
  7. The only explanation that I've heard is that the bolt that is in that same area may have been over tightened when the bike was assembled.
  8. I went ahead and sent them an email. I'll let you all know what I find out.
  9. I was told that the Electrical Connection now has a plug and play harness for our bikes. I have not personally verified it and it's not listed on their page. You might want to shoot them an email or call them. Let us know what you find out. http://www.electricalconnection.com/index2.htm
  10. I sent it via PayPal to: hackstudio@yahoo.com
  11. Sorry about the delay folks. SilvrT was kind enough to create a file that we THINK will work to add the Canadian postal codes but I just haven't got around to trying it yet. I'm out of town and last night had to setup for a trade show that starts this morning. I promise I will get to it ASAP. I just want to make time I have sure to repair anything that goes wrong when I do it. All I have to do is try and import the new file into the existing database and I will create a copy of the existing database before I do so. Therefore, there should be absolutely no chance of any major problems but......well......you just never know.
  12. James, I don't have a collector but I did just send you a donation. Wish it could have been more but hope it helps.
  13. If it is cracked horizontally right about the area where at the top of the engine guard, it is a fairly common thing to happen. You may get it replaced under warranty if your bike is still under warranty. Several here have.
  14. SOOOOoooooooo...........she finally admits that she lied about being totally innocent all those other times.
  15. Brad, I assume that you've tried twisting them? That's the way I usually get them to break loose.
  16. There were a few folks at maintenance day that wanted shirts but hadn't placed an order. I promised to find out if there was enough interest to place another order. If you didn't get a Maintenance Day shirt but are interested in one, please pose here. If there is enough interest, I'll order some more but there are minimum quantities required to get a halfway decent price.
  17. James, From what I'm reading between the lines, she didn't want you to know that it was still in the shop and not fixed. Don't sweat it my man, she was probably just trying to make sure that you didn't get upset. Sounds like you have enough on your plate right now. Do you have a PayPal account? If so, shoot me your PayPal email address. I would be happy to donate a few bucks to the cause. Don
  18. I'm pretty sure that everybody knows who we are by now but just to join in, here is a picture of Eileen and I. Eileen is the pretty one. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20MD%202010/IMG_8124.jpg
  19. I have 5 or 6 bells left.
  20. I think the Ultra is a beautiful bike and there would be one parked beside my RSV too if I could afford/justify it.
  21. I'm not sure if Eddie has any large patches available, you would have to contact him. I have small patches and decals.
  22. Yes, it means MAYBE? SilvrT has sent me back the csv file. I'll see if I can get it to work. Will try to get on it tonight.
  23. For the passing lamps, look for a switch beside the power outlet on the left side of the front fairing. That is where a lot of them are installed. Also, some are wired so that they only come on with the low beams even when the switch is on. As for the turn signals, how are you testing them? They will not automatically cancel if you are sitting still.
  24. Unfortunately, I THINK Charlie forgot to take Quickstep. I'm not sure because I had to leave for Cincinnati on Monday but I think I saw him sitting on the counter when I left. I'll look when I get home on Saturday.
  25. Great to hear from you and a big thanks to Dianne for keeping us updated. Now don't worry about that big ol' brute of a nurse...you just tell him that if he gives you a hard time..we've got a little cupcake for him. Glad you are feeling better but you are under order from ALL of us to take care of yourself.
