I'm slammed right now. At a trade show and not much time. I'll look at it when I get home on Sunday but I'm sure it's OK.
-
Yea, Eileen and I were actually talking about that the other day. We would LOVE to put some in the pond.

That's interesting. Your are exactly right, they are supposedly "one time" washers but I have never replaced one and have never had a problem. To be honest, I never thought about it but have never had a leak either. I will replace them next time. Thanks for the post.

That depends upon what it is. It better not be Swifty.

Don't know why you were getting invalid post. It seems to have posted and is working OK now.

Apparently you aren't. Jumped right in there with your "buddies" didn't you.

Yea....but exactly how do YOU define "good"? I knew a really bad girl once upon a time that was really good. I also knew a good girl who could be really bad. It's all SOOOOOO confusing.

OK....now STAND AWAY FROM THE FROGS! They sing us to sleep at night.

I have no idea what is going on but I do know, just based upon the people who have already posted to this thread.....that it just can't be good. Yep...all the typical trouble makers.
-
OK...I suppose we could argue about what is insulting but that too is not necessary. So I'll just agree and say fine...let's stop this before it DOES become insulting and a series of personal attacks.
-
and we are going to solve the problem or make ANY difference at all by insulting each other here? I doubt there is a man or woman in the entire nation that is not either very angry or very saddened by what is going on with the leak and the failed efforts in containing it but arguing here about what has or has not been done and getting snippy at each other is not going to solve the problem.

This is REALLY close to becoming very political. Just a note though....he did say that he is BUYCOTTING Arizona, NOT Boycotting. To be honest though, that is blatantly political whichever side you fall on. So....perhaps we can answer the question about finding an Arizona manufactured flag and not get into the political end of it.

Username and password did not work for me.

Go with it if you want to. If you get it setup, I'll gladly add a link to it or whatever we need on this end.

No money needed in advance folks. Thanks for asking though. There will be a donation can put out for those who wish to help.

I got a PM asking me where the nearest campgrounds are to my house. Many camp here and anybody who wishes to do so is more than welcome. There is also space here for a few travel trailers and we have always had plenty of room so far. There are no hookups though so if you need a place with hookups, here are a couple of suggestions. This one was recommended by another member but I've not been by there yet. http://schaunacrescampground.com/ Also just a few miles down Hwy. 58 from us is Findley State Park. http://www.findleystatepark.org/

This week, Eileen will order the food for Maintenance Day and it is much easier if we have a fairly close count. So again, please go to the calendar and update your RSVP if it has changed. If you had checked YES but are now unable to make it, please remove your name. If you had checked MAYBE but now know for sure, please delete the MAYBE and add YES. This link will take you right to the page on the calendar. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=153&day=2010-6-19&c=1 In the next 3 or 4 days, she will place the order. We always try to order a bit extra but the closer the count the better it works.

Absolutely...choose carefully though...you don't want pictures of some of these folk. -

Basically there are no appointments needed. Kind of just get in line. Do what you can and there will be plenty of folks to help you with knowledge and information and a hand when you need it. Sorry Charlie, I've never used the beads so don't have a better answer for you. -
From what I've heard of it, I really don't know of any that wear better than the EIII. I have heard some talk about mounting a rear tire, backwards, on the front though. Most rear tires have a much deeper tread and should wear longer. Though some of our "Darksiders" are doing this, I am generally not a fan of it because the grooves are oriented correctly to properly channel the water away. On a trike though, it might be an OK solution.

That would be a tough call. I didn't know much about them so searched and found a website for them. They actually look pretty good. http://www.tsukayu.com/ Do they have any that are a direct fit for your RSTD? I see that they have them for the older Royal Stars but didn't see any for the newer ones.

I think that enriching the carbs just a bit would probably do the job. These bikes are set at the factory to run pretty lean. You could probably back out the air adjustment screws about 1/4 turn and that would do it. My question though is why would you want to? I don't see the problem with having to give them just a bit of choke when it is needed. It's usually a matter of a bit of choke and them almost immediately pushing it back in. Once you start tweaking the adjustment screws, it is almost guess work to know if they are set properly unless you have an exhaust gas analyzer. Though I do think that enriching the carbs on these bikes just a tad can have some positive effects, I really don't think it should be done blindly.

Picture is WAY too small to see. Here is a larger one and yes, they WERE very predictable and I think that must maybe you have taught them a lesson.

I agree folks. If I had wanted to spend $700.00 there are a LOT of nice ones to look at. The problem is, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Heck, Eileen truly had to talk me into buying the one that I did.
