  1. Verizon here also. I travel a lot and it is the best that I've seen. Most of my co-workers have AT&T and I often have signals when they don't.
  2. I personally don't think it's unsafe at all. A LOT of people run mismatched tires. I like to run them matched but have replaced a rear before and wanted a different brand than what I had but the front was still good. So I've gone ahead and bought what I wanted for the rear and ran the front until it needed changing. It has never caused me any problems at all.
  3. I really don't know. I know that most motorcycle salvage yards try to keep the prices of very nice used parts under 50% of new price. That seems high to me at times but that's what a lot of them do.
  4. Not to be nitpicky but I think that should say: "do not even know the Passenger is NOT back there."
  5. That does not surprise me at all. I'm telling you all, they are a very class act. They have donated many prizes to our rallies and etc. and are as honest and nice a couple as you will ever meet. That's why I always encourage anybody that asks to shop with them when you can.
  6. No, it's not possible at this time. Not even for me or the moderators. I'll try to take a look this week and see if I can come up with anything like that.
  7. I've seen them in the larger sporting goods stores. Places like Dick's. Usually somewhere around the bicycle area I think.
  8. Have you had any problems with the bike not wanting to start? There is a set of contacts in the ignition switch that can fail and cause the dash to do out but usually the bike won't start either. The RSV is sort of known to have switch failures though.
  9. I can't answer your question about the weather but it will work on battery power except for the music functions.
  10. Larry, I'm personally a big fan of the Garmin units. My 550 never had a problem of any kind. My wife has the 765 and it has been great also. About $200.00 for it and it has the audio output jack though I understand that is not important to you. I'm curious, you said that your Mio has things that you haven't seen on the Garmin. What features does it have that are missing?
  11. I think this is the only one on this site. It is for the headsets though. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=499
  12. Thanks. That's all I needed to know.
  13. As I'm waiting on my 665 to be delivered on Monday, can anybody tell me if it has the remote microphone input jack like the 550 has? I have the BuddyRich cable installed to enable the phone to come through the headset and it requires the microphone input.
  14. Fine...just try to complicate everything. Hey...I HAVE to rattle your cage from time to time.
  15. I ordered mine from http://www.pcnation.com/web/index.asp I've bought from them before and always had great experiences. They show the price to be $999.00 but when you place it in your shopping cart, the selling price of $852.82 is what you actually pay. It's about as good a deal as I could find, at least from a reputable seller that I was familiar with. That price does include free shipping or a special overnight shipping rate of $11.90. Mine is supposed to be here on Monday. Will be easy to install because it's just replacing the 550 that I already had mounted.
  16. Hey...you got a BARGAIN. I'm leaving the 8GB SD card in it with about 1000 songs loaded. So, at .99 cents per download (though most are from my cd collection), that would be about $1,000.00 worth of music. Now that ONLY matters if you happen to like any of it. There is a wide range of artists on it though. Everything from Louis Armstrong, Montgomery Gentry, Brooks and Dunn to Lynyrd, Bob Seager, Neil Young to ....... well...like I say...there is a very wide range. Once CD that is loaded that you may or may not like but is very hard to come by is Poco's Blue and Gray. Out of production for many years and hard to find.
  17. LOL...He SAID Yamaha rack and Yamaha bag. According to his profile, he rides an RSV. I have both of those items but no pictures. If somebody doesn't respond, I'll try to take some.
  18. I don't think it's done yet. When Earl had his mishap, he realized that he wasn't going to be able to finish it in a timely manner so Pegscraper stepped up and took the project over. The bike is with Lynn now and I think is still a work in process.
  19. Hey folks...this is an old thread from 2008. Big Tom is handling the shirt stuff now. Don
  20. I don't know...I chased that crazy cowboy through the mountains at Vogel a couple of years ago and he had no problem pushing it through the curves. He DOES ride that bike.
  21. I personally think that it's worth the money and somebody will be getting a very nice bike for a fair price.
  22. That on is expired. Have to be purchased before July 4th.
  23. Well it's sold folks. Ponch has spoken for the Zumo and Gary N. is the new owner of the XM receiver.
  24. I've looked and they are apparently hard to find. Did you ever try to get it warrantied?
  25. I just looked it up. It's painful. About $1500.00.
