Heck...my gas always smells fruity... uh....are liver, garlic and onions fruit?

OK folks. Sorry that I let this one fall through the cracks. I looked at it and to change it so that you can sort by usergroup takes a LOT of custom programming that I would have to remember to do every time I upgrade the software. So...I took the easy way out. I now have the memberslist set to display ONLY supporting members and trial members. So everybody who is now shown in the memberslist is either an active supporting member or somebody that we hope to be soon. After their trial period ends, they will automatically not be displayed any longer. I hope this works better. We will try it for a while and see.

That was the decision that I had to make in '99 when I bought my RSV. It was the last bike I road before my purchase, a '99 Valk Interstate. I had ridden one a few miles earlier and had to stop by and ride another one before making my final decision. There were a LOT of things I liked about it but in my final analysis, it just wasn't as comfortable for ME as the RSV. They are fantastic bikes though.

I've seen a few times over the years when VentureDad's site was down. I found an email address for him in a search here. Don't know if it's still good or not. venturedad@earthlink.net -
LOL....I think that whoever designed the shirts for the last Cody rally did a fantastic job. I don't think I could compete with that.

Orange County Choppers.

I don't know of anybody who makes a removable backrest for the RSV unless you change the seat also.
-
Folks...do not turn this into a political debate.

OK...here are a couple of quick pics that I took. The look is not as dramatic as with the black covers but I really like them a LOT.

Yes, mine is a micro card also. It handles the 16 GB fine though. There were some reports that there was a 2000 song limit but I've found that to be incorrect because I have well over that amount on mine and it works fine. I had an 8 GB card in my previous 550. It worked great but there WAS a 1000 song limit on the 550. My card is the PNY brand.

Another AIS Thread
Freebird replied to uechi kid's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
It is correct that there is a 4 character minimum for search terms. I do have the option though of adding "exceptions". For example, I could add AIS to the exceptions list and it would allow it. The problem is, if I did that, it would return so many irrelevant threads that it would still be pretty much useless. The Google search option after selecting "venturerider.org" works the best and does not have the 4 character minimum.- 30 replies

Marcarl...are you SURE about that 4 Gig limit on the SD card? I have a 665 now and I have a 16 Gig card in it with about 2300 songs on it and it works great.

I looked into it about two years ago. The guy came out and did the energy survey and was actually pretty honest with me. I already have a very high efficiency unit and it is likely good for many more years. He told me that due to the efficiency of my current unit, the payback on the Geothermal until would take about as long as it's life expectancy. Just made no sense to move ahead with it.

HEY HEY.....she is picking up a name of nobility.

I've got a set of those Adjures that I never even installed. I read so many bad reports on them here that I decided to not waste my time.
-
YOU? I was thinking about ME.
-
HEY....does that mean we will be kin folk? As for the diamond cut covers...I got them installed and they really do set the bike off. VERY NICE. It was hot in the garage and I got all tired out but promise I will take and post some pictures tomorrow morning.
-
Yes, same thing. It's a post and when you pull it out, there is a flap that covers the hole.
-
YIPPEEEEE......my diamond cut covers arrived today. These things look amazing. Can't wait to get them installed but have to leave for a doctor's appointment in about 10 minutes. I sure plan to get them installed this evening though and I KNOW...pictures...pictures..pictures.... Thanks Mike. Will get my originals in the mail tomorrow or no later than Monday.

Well, I'm not 100% sure but I think that Harley caused many of these economic problems with the dealers. I was told that a few years ago, Harley told their dealers that they had to build these high end motorcycle boutiques if they wanted to retain their franchises. A lot of dealers spent a LOT of money on new buildings and etc. just before the economy took a dive and the demand for big motorcycles went into the toilet. Regardless of how bad sales are, they still have to cover that large overhead that they had just created.

I don't know how old it is or how much he is asking for it. I'll find out. It's in excellent shape though. He brought it out on Maintenance day and it is still here.

That looks fantastic. GREAT JOB.

Some new thoughts on clutch basket whine
Freebird replied to straycatt's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I agree with Joe on the clutch basket. I think it is really just hit and miss. Very slim chance that it would correct the issue. -
What do you consider a "decent price". I have a nice Corbin complete with drivers backrest sitting in my garage. It belongs to Bob Dakin and he wants to sell it. Make an offer.
