Those are the ones that I wanted to begin with but they are not available in 1 1/2". I may just go with two of those if three won't fit.
-
Take him up on it Wally. I just looked and can't find mine. Sorry.
-
hmm....will 3 2 1/16" gauges fit.
-
I love the looks of the passing lights even though they really aren't very effective. I can't see ever removing mine. I put them on over 10 years ago but I MAY have the original bar here somewhere. If I can find it, you are welcome to it but no promises until I look.

So how hard is it to convert from the 3 gauge plate to the 2? Just more trimming?

Well folks, I really liked the Equus gauges when I bought and installed them but wanted to report back that I just can't recommend them to you. They have been installed for a little over a year. The thing that I liked about them was the color of the dials. They are sort of an antique white that come very close to matching the background color of the RSV instrument panel. For some reason though, the center gauge on mine has turned snow white. The outer two are still the beige color but the center is white now. I don't know why. It seems that if it was the UV from the sun that they would have all faded. That is just one problem though. I got in one last ride last Sunday before having my surgery this week. All the gauges were working fine when we left but just before getting home, I noticed that the temp gauge was sitting on zero so apparently is has bit the dust. So, I will be replacing my gauges when I get healed up and feel like doing it but just wanted to issue a warning that the Equus gauges are not the way to go. Sure wish I could find another brand with the antique white/beige dials but the Sunpro may be the only other ones available in this size.

Dan, I can only imagine the anger and other emotions you must have felt. To see him sitting there drunk and the possibility that he could be back on the road and do the same thing yet again would be hard to take. It's not worth it though my friend. You have a great family and a lot of friends here that care a LOT about you. Acting on that anger would end up hurting you more than it does his worthless butt. You did the right thing by leaving.

It's not your fault. The pictures were not uploaded properly so nobody can see them.

Are these bikes this high in Australia?
Freebird replied to Venturous Randy's topic in Watering Hole
WOW....if they bring that much there, I think I'll export mine. -
My experience in Harley shops has been exactly the opposite. Well...at least over the past few years. In '99 when I bought the RSV, I visited three Harley shops and couldn't even get anybody to speak to me. Over the past few years though, I have actually been warmly greeted and treated well in two or three shops that I've visited. Now the Yamaha and Honda shops here are a different story. The Yamaha shop here is especially bad. When you walk in there, you will usually see one or two sales people sitting at their desks with their feet up and reading a newspaper or something. They have NEVER bothered to greet or offer to help in any way. I was there one day and saw a couple looking at a bike and watched them be totally ignored for about 15 minutes. I finally walked over and talked to them myself and answered some questions that they had about a RSV that they were looking at. Absolutely amazing. I NEVER go in there unless I just absolutely have to. It's a shame too because the service manager is actually a very good guy with a LOT of experience on the Venture. He has been riding them since '83 and is a member of the local MTA chapter.

You handled it better than I would have. I would have likely written a similar letter to Victory but I would have explained that same thing to HIM on the spot also. Right in front of his other customer.

Just checked my wife's 765T. It's NOT on the list.

I live in Oberlin, probably about 4 hours from Cincinnati. I get to that area and Dayton fairly often in my business travels. We'll have to get together one of these days. Also, you being so close, you really should make my Maintenance Day next year.

I see that Tapatalk offers a version for the Blackberry but the reviews are not that great so far. Is anybody here using it? My company made the decision that we were all moving to Blackberries and I received mine on Tuesday. Haven't played with it too much yet and it is really going to take some getting used to the small buttons but otherwise, it seems OK so far. It is a Bold 9650. May try Tapatalk but just wondered if anybody here is already using it.

I really don't know how long before I can ride. They told me that I needed to be off work for two weeks...that sounds excessive to me but I'll play it day by day and see how I feel. I guess the drugs that they injected me with worn off about 3:00 this morning because that is when I woke up with a moderate headache. It's not TOO bad though. I took a couple of Tylenol and it seems to be starting to subside a little bit. I figure if I don't ask them how long before I can ride, I can make it my OWN decision. My thinking is that when I feel well enough to work again, I can also RIDE again. Only seems fair to me.

OK folks...this one can now be added to the history book. Surgery lasted 2 1/2 hours. I opted to do the "local" instead of being put under so I was awake the entire time but really felt no pain. Except at the very end when I guess it was wearing off just a bit and they decided to give me one more of those shots in the eye just for good measure. Even that wasn't bad though. I could feel it but it really wasn't very painful. So, here I sit with this HUGE bandage on my eye. Still pretty numb, when I touch my forehead, I can't feel it. No pain right now but that will probably change when the deadening finally wears off. I have a followup appointment at 7:30 tomorrow morning when they will remove the bandage and instruct me on the eye drops and etc. I really didn't talk to the doctor very much but he did go out and talk to Eileen when he was done. He said that he had to do a LOT of laser work but he feels that the surgery was a success. So now my eye is freshly lasered, freshly cut on and I have a brand new artificial cataract. You would think that after all of that, I SHOULD be able to see but that is not going to happen. The vision loss is because of the radiation damage to the optic nerve so restoring the vision was no the reason for this. From what I understand, I have 6 stitches in the eye and 6 plugs...whatever the heck a "plug" is. Thanks for all the kind words and prayers. I'm sure that things will be just fine.

I just wanted to bump this because when I copied it from the rallies post, it didn't bring it to the top. So, if you want to be on Pioneer's list for a 15% discount, be sure to make Michellea your friend.

Well folks, I'll be out of touch for at least a few hours. I have the eye surgery at 11:30 tomorrow. I have no idea how long it is supposed to take but I'll probably be home very late tomorrow night. The worse part is that I can't have anything to eat or drink after midnight tonight. No coffee tomorrow morning.....that is NOT a good thing. Anyway, I'll be back with a full report whenever I can. It may be Thursday though. Not sure how I will feel when I get home tomorrow night but I'm thinking probably not very good.

Sorry....I have to agree. It's just got to be painted. -
The size limit is not the problem. You just have to resize them properly. Here is an example of one that is large enough to see but does not exceed the limitations here.

Yea, it would be a very long thread even if I was the only one here who posted all the stupid things I have done. It's just a matter of giving it some thought and deciding WHICH one I want to admit to.

Absolutely amazing that he survived that. I won't be too critical of him, I was once 19 and indestructible also. I can remember my Chevelle SS 454 going airborne a few times. I am just glad that he didn't kill somebody else and hope that he learned from his stupid mistake.

I hate coming here and reading bad news but it is MUCH better when followed by GOOD news. Really sorry that it happened but thankful that she is doing OK now. Take care of that lady and let her know that we are thinking about her and will keep her in our prayers.

I've never seen a 4 into 4 system for these bikes. Sorry. -
Where do you see that? It's $12.00 per year. You do. It is right under your username in your post and also in the upper right of your profile. You are also listed in the memberslist.
