What a terrible ordeal to go through. I really hurt for him and the family. Sounds like he has a lot of loving support though and that means so much. We will sure keep him in our prayers.

I don't think so but the pictures could be better. Looks like a reflection to me though. -

Yea, those chrome covers alone were more than that and I think have been discontinued by Yamaha. -

Trunk Spoiler installation

Well, I didn't get a gasket but had already thought that I might make one. I wondered if it should have one but even if not, I didn't think it was a bad idea. -
Trunk Spoiler installation

Yea, I thought that it only had 3 screws. There would be a 4th hole for the wires. I also didn't get the long rubber gasket. Would have to make one of those too. Now I'm getting out of the mood to do it again. Maybe I'll wait another year. -

No, I can figure it out now. I only got one rubber and flat washer for each screw so I'll have to make some more or pick some up at the hardware store. -

Yea, I remember it now. Very nice. Still not as fast as quicksilver though.

It was probably about a year ago that I picked up a used trunk spoiler. I think I'm going to finally install it and have a question for any of you that have added the Yamaha spoiler to your trunks. It came with rubber washers and flat washers. Does the rubber washer go on top of the trunk or do both go inside?

hmmm.....I don't remember it but I don't remember a lot things lately. Do you still have it? Although.....we all know that silver is the fastest.

Rear mono-shock replacement questions:
Freebird replied to Semi-retired's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Naw...probably not hard enough. You need to knock on some REAL HARD wood. Try this one. -
It will fit, no problem at all. You just have to re-size it just a bit in any graphics program. Not that I would ever go to the trouble of actually doing it but it would be interesting to take some measurements and see if it would be possible.

I honestly don't remember. I think the bet was with Black Owl but I don't remember now what it was.

You know the old saying....beauty is in the eye of the beer holder...I mean beholder.

There you go...at least you could have a cool avatar. I like it.

Yea...it was dnelson or dknelson...I don't remember now. Your right though, it was NOT creative at all.

You guys are pretty quick. I was just playing around and thought I would build the bike that I want. I just need it in silver. You are right, it is the VMAX engine in the RSV. I just sort of combined two photos that I took off the starmotorcycles site. Or...I could try to convince you all that it is a "spy photo" but I know you are all too smart to fall for that.

LOL...yea...my mom and dad named me Freebird. Actually, I got mine because I lost a bet.

Anybody see any major change?

hmmmmm.........why does the phrase "fox watching the hen house" come to mind.

Yea...I forgot...you are even staying on premises. I may hire security for next year.

LOL...that's funny. I always just assumed that you were a LOT older than Jeff.
