From Nashville home... GORGEOUS ride, colors were beautiful, perfect day to ride. We started out eating at the Loveless Cafe and then hitting the road.we had a heavy coat then went light jacket, then Short sleeve. It was so NICE!!! Kinda funny I've ridden the trace many times both ways, but saw things I've never seen . I told my wife it was almost like riding it for the 1st time.

The Natchez Trace Parkway is a Federal ParkRoad a lot like the Blue Ridge Parkway as far as the type of road and some of the scenery. No high mountain views though like the B.R.P. The Trace begins in Natchez, Mississippi and ends about 450 miles later just south of Nashville, Tennessee in Franklin. I thought that the best riding parts are from the Mississippi/Alabama State line north to Nashville. The southern part is beautiful, but relatively flat. This road has a lot of history. Apparently early pioneers would float their goods down the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers to Natchez Mississippi wher

Just under two weeks with the new trike and we just today returned from a four day ride down the Natchez Trace. The trike handled great. Thanks to Hannigan Trikes and to Randy at Volunteer Cycles and Trikes for doing the conversion. The trike rides even smoother than the two wheeler. Too bad my MPG dropped from 45/46 to 32 MPG. Oh well. We even had enough (barely (smile)) luggage space for my wife! Met some STAR members along the Trace near Jackson, MS. Natchez was terrific, crossed the Mississippi into Vidalia, LA. Great trip with some super friends who rode with us.

Overall the last 20 years Loraine and I traveled a lot of miles on our bikes. I would like to share some of this beautiful country with you. The first one will be a short trip down the Natchez Trace Parkway! http://www.photoshow.com/watch/YC3hB7NN?source=em_ps_show_owner Phill

I know that ancestry.com has been around for a long time. I have never tried it and never really had any interest in such things until recently. I'm thinking now that it might be fun to at least see if I can trace the family tree back a little ways. Has anybody used them and are they worth the money?

I noticed on some photos that the ant. with the little black dohicky half way up is on the left side.My 07 rsv has it on the right side.Every thing seems to work well.Do I need to just change it over, leave it alone or trace it out to radios to see if correct.Could they be on either side from factory and ok as long as they go to the right radio or are they all the same and mine are just wrong.Maybe I am too lazy to trace it out but its hotter than hell outside. thanks in advance Curtis

If anyone is interested in the Natchez Trace, there is a 4 page article in the November 2008 MotorHome magazine. Might be helpful if you are going on it, or thinking about it. Lyle

The wife and I jumped on the Venture after church this morning and left Brandon (MS) and headed up Hwy 25 to Carthage. We stopped for lunch at Wendy's and as we were leaving a fellow pulled up next to me on the twin to my bike, an '07, just to say hi. He was meeting a buddy who was riding an H-D. We left Carthage and headed over to the Natchez Trace and then south toward home. Lot of bikes on the Trace today. Nice, relaxing ride of just over 100 miles. Guess we'll have to do it again next weekend too. May have to check out the Chatauqua Bike Rally in Crystal Springs on Saturday.

What can I say. Linda and I road down on Saturday (great day to be out) and had aterrific time at the museum. They have done a fantastic job of restoring the old bikes. Are the ever cool. If you like motorcycles, and who here doesn't, you owe it to yourself to go. Would make for a great meet and eat. You can trace the eveolution of mc's back to the begining, and work you way up. HD made some very interesting stuff that you would not think would be made by them. I will try to post some pictures.

Thanks to all those who advised me on how to refill the antifreeze, etc. This comes under FYI. I live a few miles from the Natchez Trace Parkway, and there is a short ride I take down to Rocky Springs (about 100 miles roundtrip). Call it 2-wheel meditation or therapy. Works every time. At any rate, before my recent changes to the bike I always got 47.8 to 48.1 mpg. I know it's a high number but the speed limit on the Trace is 50 mph and that's what I ride at (actually cruise set between 50 and 55 to allow for error). With Yamaha oil and filter, stock paper air filters, and stock exhausts,
