  1. They will bolt right on. All seats are interchangeable from 1999 through the current models. All you have to do is find the pillow top seat and backrest. The backrest is very easy to remove. If I remember correctly, it's only held on by three bolts through the trunk.
  2. You know, when Bub's first starting making the mufflers for the RSV, they had polished aluminum tips. People complained and wanted chromed tips so they started doing them in chrome and then the peeling problem started. Those turned out nice.
  3. Congrats to all. Very happy that mom and baby are happy and healthy. 15 grand kids....WOW.....I mean....I knew you were old but that's gotta be approaching ANCIENT.
  4. It's still hanging on the pegboard in my garage. I'll try to get around to it this weekend and report back on how well it works.
  5. If I remember correctly, the original filters on the '99 RSV would work with the chrome covers. Yamaha had some problems though with those filters separating from the base. I think the filters on later models were different. After they were changed, I think they were too deep to work with the chrome covers so that was when you started having to use the K&N filters. If your filters are working with the chrome covers, you may be running some REALLY old air filters and it may be time to think about some new ones. I have seen a number of these chrome covers with the chrome starting to flake off. I think they do a very poor job chroming these things. I will have mine re-chromed properly before I buy another set that will probably eventually peel also.
  6. What is the file extension? I may have to add the file type but the bigger issue would be how big is it? It seems that most PP presentations are way to large to upload here.
  7. That is not a good situation. I think it would be hard for me to refer to them as "friends". Sorry, I know that sometimes things can't be avoided but I would be out of there ASAP.
  8. I've used Dish for several years and really like it. There are very rare occasions when it will go out, usually in very heavy snow, but it's never out for very long. I have 4 televisions hooked to two dual receivers. It has worked very well for me.
  9. If you use the "google" option and select venturerider.org, it works pretty well.
  10. It only shows three in Ohio and they are all Marinas. My experience with buying gas at Marinas has been that it is always EXPENSIVE.
  11. OK....I'll start it now. Really don't need a new thread, just need people to start sending MONEY. I'll get it going though. Sorry about the delay. It turned out to be a real pain as my previous supplier could not source these larger mugs. I've ended up having to buy the mugs from one place and them having them printed with our logo elsewhere. Finally have it pretty much sorted out though. Don
  12. That's not so bad. Only about 500 miles. A days drive.

  14. There are some things that you just feel the need to photograph. I DID finally get the job done though.
  15. Here are some instructions on re-soldering the connections. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=493
  16. I took a quick look at familysearch.com and didn't find it very helpful. It didn't even bring up myself, my father or my grandparents and ancestry.com found those easily.
  17. Yea...that's what I said.
  18. Car Wax. Pledge is fine for those quick touch ups between real detail jobs but will not last and protect like real car wax. Just make sure that you use one that is formulated for clear coated paint jobs.
  19. Yep....apparently I'm losing my searching skills. I have them on my bike and really like them. The chrome on mine is started to peel though. I'll see what it costs to have them re-chromed at some point. You would think that the chrome would be GREAT at that price but it's really not. I DID buy mine used off Ebay though.

That's a good reminder. I actually voted absentee this past Monday. I hope that everybody does so. NOTE: Do not turn this into a argument as to WHO we should vote for. Simply remember to vote.
  21. I was looking...I mean I stumbled upon....it.... I received an anonymous tip...yea...that's it...it was an anonymous tip I tell ya....
  22. I held the can upside down and then punched a tiny hole in the bottom with the can opener. I had an old towel wrapped around and over it when I did so. It sprayed for a few seconds and did make a bit of a mess but it was soaked up by the towel and managed to save most of the paint. At about $35.00 a can, I just wasn't going to throw it away without trying something.
  23. Really sorry to hear that you father has passed and sorry that your son wasn't able to be there. We will keep you all in our prayers.
  24. Yea...I've thought about that also. My mothers side scares me even more though...I know that even looking at the past two generations...there are....well........ I hate to admit it but......lawyers in the family tree.
  25. FANTASTIC....so that means you are leaving me in your will? of course first...I would have to outlive you.
