  1. I hope and will continue to pray that it works out in your favor. Yes, those attorney fees can be killer but there are some things in life that are worth what you have to pay. If you have only had to go to court one time, you are very lucky. I went through this in Texas about 16 years ago and there ended up being 4 court appearances. My attorney fees went over $10,000.00. It was a hard hit but worth every dime.
  2. I don't think that's the one that I remember but it will sure do. That one actually looks nice.
  3. File emailed Monty. Thanks. I'll also check out that program Bummer.
  4. LOL....we missed all the way around. I have version 12. I don't use it often enough to buy a new copy but do need this one file converted.
  5. When I got my last new laptop, I was unable to install my Corel Draw due to a bad disk. Now I find that I do not have the necessary file format to have the VentureRider mugs screened. All I have is a .jpg file. I need to have it converted to a vector based file in one of these formats. Adobe Illustrator CS4 CorelDraw X3 Freehand MX I also need the colors reversed so that the design and text will be black and the background clear. Do any of you have the graphics software to convert this it for me? If so, I can email you the file or upload it so that you can download it. The file is 570 kb.
  6. OK folks...I'm going to start another thread to get an exact count. Will probably start asking for your money either tomorrow or the next day. The price is going to be about $25.00 per mug including shipping. That is with our logo as with the last ones. These are the larger 16 oz. mugs and come with the removable tea basket. They will be a bit more to Canada and to Australia. I'll have to get a shipping price. I think this is a good price. It is about the same as the sell for on Amazon and those are without our logo.
  7. Here's the article in the Tech Library on replacing the clutch. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10518
  8. Yes, I don't miss much. I saw cheerleaders on some football games last weekend showing more skin than that though.
  9. OH...just to keep you all updated. I FINALLY got a response back from my supplier. A lot of excuses but the bottom line is that they would have a price for my no later than tomorrow. I think it may have been my email to the CEO of the company that finally resulted in a response.
  10. Good luck to you. I went through it about 16 years ago. It cost a lot in attorney fees but was worth every dime. I did win and she ended up only with court supervised visitation which she never exercised. I was also awarded child support but never received a single payment. I think that with interest and penalties, she owes somewhere around $125,000.00 now. I'll never see it and that's fine, at least it kept you away. One thing you will learn though is that the child support enforcement folks don't go after deadbeat moms the way they go after deadbeat dads. Like I said, the money is not important and I never asked for it anyway, it is just the law that it was ordered.
  11. I sure wish I could make that one. I would sure like to get a decent deal on one of those lift tables.
  12. You guys have some very nice looking ladies. You need to send them to...er...I mean bring them to Maintenance Day.
  13. No, I don't believe it has. I'll get that done this evening.
  14. PLEASE tell me that they weren't wearing VentureRider shirts. Sounds like a great time was had by all. Wish we could have been there.
  15. I would sure like to own another one. I don't want to get rid of the RSV but would like to add a Triumph 900 Scrambler to the stable...and a BMW GS Adventurer..and a ..... I need to win the lottery. It's not likely to happen though because I never buy tickets.

Well, I finally took a few minutes today to shoot the new Glock. I used to shoot OK but haven't shot much in more than 20 years and having gone blind in my "aiming eye", I was a bit concerned about being able to hit ANYTHING. So, I stepped out in the back yard today. I drew a 6" circle on the back of a box and put it up next to a dead tree for a backstop. I didn't measure off the distance before hand but did after I shot and it was almost exactly 36 ft. So, this is a 6" circle shot at 36 ft. Now I'm NOT bragging because I am fully aware that this is not great shooting. But at least I am now reassured that I can adequately use the gun should I need to. This was shot from the Glock 36. For those who may not know, the 36 is a compact .45 caliber with a 3.78" barrel. Pretty small gun for a .45. This week I bought and installed a Pearce +1 magazine extender which means that the capacity of this gun is now 7 + 1 in the barrel. I only had 7 in it and that's all I shot today. Again, I KNOW that this isn't great shooting but I don't think it was so bad for the first time shooting a new gun after not shooting more than a couple of times over the past 20 years or so and having recently lost the vision in the eye that I used to aim with. The ammo used was just a box of relatively inexpensive PMC Bronze 230 grain FMJ. OK already...I know...enough excuses...here is the result. uh...did I mention that the sun was in my eye and that ..........
  17. Yea, forgot all about those FM converters.
  18. Buying direct may or may not be possible but would certainly be more work. I would have to order them, receive them, find a screen printer to send them to and then pay shipping again to get them back to me. I think that shipping from the manufacturer, shipping to a screen printer, getting them shipped back to me and then shipping them to all of you would add a good bit to the cost. I'll work on this more tomorrow and hopefully find somebody to deal with. The previous vendor had been GREAT in the past. Don't know what is going on this time unless they are just having trouble sourcing the mugs.
  19. My '67 Tempest was the first car that I actually did any customizing on. Didn't do anything to the engine but had the interior rolled and tucked, vinyl roof (remember those?), Fenton Gyro mag wheels...not to mention the great Ranger Mini 8 tape deck mounted under the dash. Ahhhhhhhhh.........those were the days. I worked for Gibson's Discount Center my last two years of high school. We ran those Ranger Mini 8 tape players on sale once a month for $19.99. There is no telling how many of those things I sold.
  20. YIKES...thanks for the reminder. I need to remind her to get on those leaves just as soon as she is finished scrubbing the floors and getting dinner going.
  21. I think that I have two or three of the first gen stands left over. I'll send Ponch a message and see if he wants them.
  22. Don't click on Forum. Click on search. Sorry, it's the second menu bar from the top. The search link is the third from the far right. That opens up the search box and the first entry is "Search Forums". Under that is "Search Calendars". If there is nothing in the 2011 calendars then it's because nobody has posted the 2011 events yet.
  23. One of my first cars when I was a teenager was a '67 Tempest. It was only a 326 with a 2 barrel and automatic but it was really a great car.
  24. I never leave mine on reserve and many times ride tank to tank without stopping. I sometimes don't notice when the low fuel light comes on and there have been a few times when only losing power and having to switch to reserve made me aware of the fact that I was low. I just reach down and switch to reserve and find the next gas station.
  25. You can now print out a list of upcoming VentureRider events. You can also search the calendar if you prefer but that is just a side benefit and probably not that useful. To use the new feature, just click on the "Search" link in the upper menu bar of the forum. Just leave the search box blank and click "GO". That will open up a new page where you can select "All Events" and then select the month or range of months that you want to display. Click Go and you'll get the list of events posted for that range. Then at the upper right, you have two buttons to choose from. One is to download it as a iCalendar file and the other a .pdf file. This was requested by one of our members about 3 months ago while I was on vacation. I promised to see what I could come up with when I got back and totally forgot about it. I apologize for taking so long.
