    I would think a good massage once or twice a day would help straighten things out a bit for ya. It may hurt at first, but then it's only pain and pain is only a feeling, and after you feel it often enough, the brain tends to disregard it somewhat. Another solution maybe to eat all those donuts and so put more padding on the back side to help naturally cushion any future impact. I really think you are the first on this site to post such misfortune. Could you kindly keep us posted so that should something so dreadful were happen to any of us we would be better equipped to deal with the aftermath???????

    Thanks Lou,,,,we can all stop to 'smell the roses' every now and then, that's what life is really made of.

    Don't you worry about it too much yet,,, it's when you start to do an oil change in the middle of a parking lot, that you need to consider a new type filter.

    I think along the lines of that you did something that caused it to change, or maybe it's just all in your head,,,,not saying you're not smart, but often we think there is a change when really there isn't. To adjust the setting at the lever at this point is a little touchy, for if you are right and there is a malfunction or misalignment somewhere, then if that were to correct itself you might find yourself without a front brake. Just be very cautious with this whole issue.

    .....it starts to rain and you go to roll up your window,,this time you're on the scoot. .....you 'honk' the horn, but the cruise comes off instead, or the cage takes off and you end up with a speeding ticket. .....you need to go down a gravel road, but you don't want to spend hours cleaning again, so you go around. .....you notice a tire is low, so you check the right side and can't figure out why the left side still needs more air. ..... you ask your wife to sit in the drivers seat and hold steady while you check the oil. (2nd gens only)

    Went to get something like that for the missusses birthday some years back, came home first and told her about it,, just to be sure,,, she thought about it and then picked a place to put it,,, I didn't agree,,, she was going to 'hide it',,,, so it was left put where the saleslady put it.

    Well she looks black and square, has a good set of landing gear, looks like the rump holder can be sat upon and has a lot of nice things in a lot of neat places,,,,,,,,,now if it will only hold together:rotf:you'll be a happy rider for sure,,,,,,,and if not, there are always friends around that will let you look at their Ventures. Enjoy it Lou and stop by to show it off sometime.

    Choke or not, all 4 cylinders should be firing and so producing heat. It seems that you may have an issue with 2 cylinders, maybe the plugs are not gapped right, or maybe you have a plugged idle circuit in 2 of your carbs.

    That is an awesome paint job,,, she really looks good,, better when you see her face to face.

    ,,,,,AND check the computer tomorrow,,,,, it will be broke,,,,eat well, it may be a while before you get another chance. CONGRATS, keep it up, it only gets better the longer you work at it.

    And the 85s are the fastest,,,,, yes,,,, faster than the 1300s.

    Don't worry Lou about all the negatives posted,,, you know there'll be a Meet & Greet here in May and you can bring it up here so that all the mechanics can get it stuck together properly,,, might even be able to fit a V4 into that space to make things a litlle smoother. Congrats on the new ride,,, hope you enjoy it as much as you planned.

    Well that sounds like work as well, maybe some duct tape over the dash would be the easiest.

    Seems that around here rules are made up as we go along. Well here's a new one nobody has mentioned yet so far: You can't leave this site until you've met me, and seeing as that's not to happen any time soon, you're stuck here until that time at least,,,, and never mind what everyone else is going to say,,, they make up a lot of stories.

    I'm a bit of a hard nose when it comes to my kids. All of them got told,,, if you want to drive that's fine, you pay the insurance and gas, and if you get a ticket or accident you also get to buy your own car at that point. Then I sat them down on a one to one and told them point blank that I really didn't care if they got into an accident and killed themselves,,,, well I would feel very hurt of course,, be something else without them around,,,, have to deal with the mourning issue and the missing of love thing,, and all that, but besides that,, no,,, if they died that would be that,,,,,BUT, what were the chances of them dieing I asked them,,,,,, not so good,,, but the chances of ending up in a wheel chair for the rest of their lives was very good... This had a very sobering effect on each of them, and so far they have all been blessed with good driving records,,, not perfect, but then neither are their dad or mom so we just discovered. Our oldest is now 38 and the youngest is 26 with the other 4 in between somewhere.

    Now if you had got Ontario, you would have a grandousious Province to visit, a fantastic country, super roads, and lots of folks to buy dinner for. (that's what bosses do don't they?)

    Life will never be the same without her by your side,,it never is when a loved one leaves us,,, but life can still be good,,,,different for sure, but good. As we talked I noticed that your finding that to be true, and that is awesome and heart warming. Keeping her memory will always be precious and be a real bright spot in your life, and so it is for us as well. God Bless you my friend.
