WOW - if the odometer is off by that much reading these posts, I would definitely think that that would be a mfg problem. I could see where that could hurt and/or affect insurance quotes, resale value, etc. Is the speedometer being off by 7% or more common in motorcycles in general, or again just a mfg problem? I'm confused, as I don't see why we have to buy - and rely on - an accessory item to fix a manufacturer's problem.

I think that is the Voyaguer Kit. Spoke with a lady out here who has one - and swears by it. Saw one one a Road King this weekend. Not for me -

Ron, I am so sorry to read of your loss. Our prayers are including you - and your friend and family. I am generally not good with words - but my heart is feeling for you at this time. Take care and stay strong.

Good thing that bike ain't closer - eh? CONDOR? Nice looking bike

Gene, I might have thought that your hand tooled bags might still have fit under that vent- but hey, congrats on getting a shield that quick. I want to get one early next year - just not sure which size I'm going with.

Don, now I understand why your equipment goes into the pond!!!! You are trying to use that ramp in the pond to jump - ala Evil Kneivel - to the other side :rotf:. You need to build up a better angle :rotf: Great looking place.

Leonard, you and Robin have a GRAND time. Hoping to make that trip next year. Wish we were going with you this year - as our little NorCal trip got washed out - but oh well. We'll be thinking of ya - and take plenty of pics.

I don't have one of those - but it looks . If you were able to get it for $45.00 + shipping - it might be worth the adventure.

Living out here, I would have to agree about earthquakes. Also, looking at my garage, it would be a real pain in the neck to get the bike on/off that lift to be able to use it properly. A good idea though.

James, check out my bike in my gallery - a little different. I agree about flames/skulls - though I have seen some gorgeous paint jobs with those themes. The lady who painted my bike - http://www.signsandwondersbysue.com/index.php Sue Hopper - will be in Walnut Grove 10/13/07 - she also did the fender on Rich's bike. A bunch of us with the local STAR chapter are riding over there on 10/13/07 if you would like to come along. I'll also have to admit - I too get a little frustrated as I've shown the bike now in a few competitions - and competing against factory "custom" paint jobs is a little discouraging - but hey, in the end, it's all good for me.

I don't know - looks kind of cool, but if I was going to go with a trike, I'd want to have a "real, big boys toy"! Price wise these were 42 - 46K, which all in all I didn't think was too bad though more than what I would want to spend.

Jim sorry to hear about this - but glad you are hear to share with us. Our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery are being sent.

Todd, thanks for the update. This uncertain weather made us cancel our weekend trip to Eureka/Susnaville/Reno. Went to Vibes yesterday - was a nice rally - tons of vendors - wonder if the street vendors were able to relocate inside? Hate to see all the vendors chrome get spots ,. We'll have to try and hook up at another time. It's been pouring down here - but the rain has stopped for a bit. Have a good one.

Tim, interesting post. If it was me, I might ask my "friend" to be careful of his comments - and get all his facts right - but that is me. I found the Air Force post interesting. Yesterday, couple of us went up to the Street Vibrations Rally in Reno. Often, I might characterize Harley riders to be "dumb and foolish". What I found interesting during our 4 hour trip to Reno was the "older" riders were obeying the speed limit, utilizing good judgement / hand signals, etc. The younger riders were blowing by everyone for whatever reason (I only said Harley because 95% of the bikes going to this event that we saw on the freeway were Harleys). I might also think that more people are getting bikes now - gas prices, whatever - and there are a lot more inexperienced riders on the road - or like in my case, I've always had bikes but took a 10 year break from riding before I got back on a bike last year. In doing so last year, I might have initially bought a bike too large for me - so knowing one's limitations also needs to be considered. My wife started riding with me last year - specifically with this group - and loves it. And I think it is because "we" are all "older and wiser". Just my two cents.

Don, I really like the colors and the name on this. I think the star in the middle with the name top/bottom though looks too much like the STAR Touring and Riding logo? With all those colors, it could cost couple of bucks - but I would buy one because for me it would be unique, and colorful. Just my two cents

Dang, that is pretty cool - looks a little cramped, but looks fun to drive.
