I have used them on the two VTX's I have owned and beyond the ability to remove, clean and recharge them, I didn't find any real benefit. I didn't do any testing of fuel savings due to it's insignificance. So does anyone have any real reason to use them with the exception of never having to replace them? I have found them on ebay for $65, has anyone found them cheaper? BTW I posted this in the RSTD tech form because I have an 07 RSTD, I say this because I don't know if the Venture is different.

I have a 93 Cougar v-6 needing a new head gasket, I'm an old scholl kid so when I see a kit with graphic head gaskets at the parts store I back off real slow... Like I said, I have no familiarity but always thought a good ole metal head gasket sealed well but also REALLY helped transfer that heat. And I still say aluminum heads are junk! Anyone have some real info on this variant? I know Ford offers the metal ones but they want my next born for them... but if that's the proper route...

Is it possible to have the search feature recognize at least some common TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms). It is real hard to find info on things like HID, CMU, TCI, RLU etc.

I lost one of the screws for the side cover. Part # 90149-06298-00 I have found a couple of suppliers but some want $13 to ship a $1.44 part. Are they any places with reasonable shipping for a couple of these? Its a real pain searching because most of them you have to set up an account to find out what the shipping charges are. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

first time out scared the heck out of me! Not what I was expecting.Took a few mile to figure out how to handle it.It is a handfull when I'm riding alone, but settles out real nice riding 2up.I think it still needs some fine tuning. The wife likes it and thats what counts.I think it will work out just fine for 2up riding and its easy to remove for two wheeling.

Its a real bummer when a customer asks for your info because your website is no where to be found? Huh? WHAT????!!!!! For those of you who know me and my work please hang in there. I'm still in business and my number is 530-905-0505. My web guy is working fast and furious to figure what the heck happened. I picked up a thread of someone needing a tank bib and another who couldn't find the thread about my work. Well the site is http://www.acehighleathers.com believe me it is a real site! Hang in there with me and I'll make another post when I'm up and running again. In the meantime, anyone with a question can email me (nanci@shasta.com) or call me.

Jeff and I looked at a house before he left that we were interested in. So today Riderduke came down with a friend TC (some of the crew have met her) to check the place out for me. After looking under in and on top we headed off to McDonald's for coffee. Actually I headed home real fast to pick up the plat Jeff got from the health dept with the septic info. Which seems to be off. Long story short TC (whose a real estate agent up in VA) called a friend and got me a new agent locally to work with. The one I had wasn't very helpful. So we all headed over to the agent's office and I put in an offer. I don't know if you're suppose to have fun at a real estate office but we did. The place is gonna need work, so David will have his work cut out for him. Anyway I guess I just wait now to find out if they accept the offer. I can't thank TC and David enough for the help and hand holding. Kinda scary doing this on my own. They may regret offering to keep holding my hand through this. Margaret

Well, you folks in Texas are really going to put it to us this time...or so the weatherman says.....they have to blame somebody, right? They're guesstimating approximately 35 cm's in the next 24 hours.....well over a foot! How the heck is Wiarton Willie....Poughkeepsie Pete's cousin...ever going to see his shadow? This has been a real winter here in southern ontario....cold, cold, cold, more snow than the historical averages.....wow! I guess on the plus side...if it's coming from Texas....it's gonna be "warm" snow, right? gunk:doh:

*WHAT A REAL WOMAN DOES* A real woman is a man's best friend. She will never stand him up and never let him down. She will reassure him when he feels insecure and comfort him after a bad day. She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do; to live without fear and forget regret. She will enable him to express his deepest emotions and give in to his most intimate desires. She will make sure he always feels as though he's the most handsome man in the room and will enable him to be the most confident, sexy, seductive, and invincible. . . http://venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=52464&d=1291539404 No wait... Sorry... I'm thinking of beer. That's what beer does... Never mind.

From the "Vent" section of the Atlanta paper, today: The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse: you can't post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians, it creates a hostile work environment. I Like it!
