  1. Janis and I sincerely hope that James has a speedy and full recovery. Our kindest regards to his family at this difficult time... TERRY
  2. Like it or not, it is very clever, and as a utility vehicle it could prove to be very practically useful! Of course, I like almost anything that keeps me out of a car or truck... TERRY
  3. Hey, Jeff! When I found out you were in Kandahar I used Google Earth to zoom in and show me the sites. I did see the picture of Tim Horton's and wondered if you might not make your way there. That's too funny! Well, my friend, have a doughnut for me and we'll all keep thinking the good thoughts for ya'! http://www.panoramio.com/photo/13050739 BTW: your SSP is fine and dandy, and really enjoying having it's place inside for awhile... TERRY

    It's over

Our sincere condolences to you and your entire family at this difficult time of loss. May laughter at memories of wonderful times together fill your heart and nourish your soul. Janis & Terry
  5. I have used it, at the recommendation of the tire shop (www.twobrotherstires.com) I visit, but only on metal parts, per their suggestion. I've had no problem with it at all. TERRY
  6. That's a closeout item at all the WalMarts that might have stocked them. They originally sold for $90, I believe. There were a few at one near me recently, so if anyone wants one and can't find one, I could get it and ship it to you. At $20 + shipping it would still be one heckuva great deal (if you didn't already have a leaf blower!) TERRY
  7. Now, now, George! Easy does it, my friend! Making comments like that might cause someone to make note of the fact that you're on your second 2nd Gen in how many years? and LOL! TERRY
  8. I would appreciate being added to the list of recipients, as I would greatly enjoy having access to and learning from the video. Thank You! TERRY
  9. Welcome to the Forum, Mama Laura Lou! You're already a big part of the family, proven by the great care you took of everybody at the Asheville Rallys. Thanks for everything and I look forward to seeing you again, sooner than later, I hope! TERRY
  10. I am so glad there was a swift and complete resolution to this abduction. Best regards to everyone in your family... TERRY
  11. In either direction, Joe, that would be a "step over", not a "step down"! TERRY
  12. I was, admittedly, quite surprised when I first got on the Secret Squirrel at how low the seat was compared to my '83. It did make me feel a bit "hunched over", hence my "old man" allusion. I've just sat on both bikes and there is definitely a three-inch difference between the two. However, once on the road I adapted quickly, especially after I got used to the need to "pump" the brake pedal to get anything out of it. Thankfully, the front brake is quite strong, strong enough to make me think I might need to rebuild mine. The empty trailer tracked pretty well, all-in-all, except on curves towards the end of the ride when, I believe, the air had finally all seeped out of the rear shock. I couldn't remember exactly how Jeff said the CLASS system needed to be worked (that particular one!), so I trudged home with it like it was. A good ride altogether on a great-weather day! TERRY
  13. Jack, you might not be surprised when I tell you that you are already on my very short list of those that I would ride "B***h" with. You will likely recall a M&E last year when I followed you and Sheryl through the twisties up in your area and was mighty impressed with your skill set. If I ever need to hitch-hike in Morganton I'll be sure to let you know... TERRY
  14. Lewis, you know damn good and well that I did NOT drop the bike! I don't know what pot you're trying to stir, but that's a stew I'm not eating... I greatly appreciate that Kenny was willing to ride me down to Columbus. Yes, I did ride as a passenger (my G-rated version) and it was quite a nice trip. I will tell you that there are only a few people I would consider riding like that with and Kenny is at the very top of the list. A good number of you have met Kenny at one of the North GA M&Es when he had his Venture. He did sell it and then bought a Goldwing, which he has tricked out substantially. Thankfully, he likes to trade bikes so I have ridden the GW on more than one occasion, and it is truly a fabulous ride! I also appreciate that Lewis was interested in meeting up with us on the way down and riding from Newnan to Columbus and back. We had a great ride together through some pretty countryside. So, the Secret Squirrel bike and the cargo trailer are now safe and sound here until Jeff returns. I am, of course, obliged to ride it from time to time, so you just might see me flying down the road on it one of these days... TERRY
  15. Janis and I send our sincere best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery for your Dad, Rod! We'll keep thinking the "good thoughts" and hope that all turns out well... TERRY
  16. Janis and I wish you and Lonna the very best moving forward, Brad! I can only encourage you to see this as a great opportunity to write the next chapter in your lifebook. Of course, we'd love to see you find your way to the Chattanooga area (rather damned selfish of us North GA folk, I know!), but wherever you land will be the right place to be. For now, just take a deep breath, rub your belly, and smile like Buddha! TERRY
  17. Have a great time and a wonderful ride, Harry! Keep us posted from time to time on your adVenture, if at all possible... TERRY
  18. It was great to see so many friends again and make some new acquaintances, as well! Thanks to Randy and Laura for their incredible hospitality and for making this such a wonderful event. Rode away from the rally with AtlantaDragonSlayer, 86er and Fly-N-Lo. We had a nice scenic ride home and were able to satisfy Todd's craving for tacos at Jack-in-the-Box. We rode together all the way to Clayton GA where Todd and Landon headed west and Bob stayed for awhile to visit a friend. As always, a great time with great people... TERRY
  19. I hope your surgery is very successful and that you recover fully and quickly! TERRY
  20. I apologize if there is any misunderstanding, Randy. Actually, this is a "Joint Venture", so anyone that wants to come up from GA for this event is more than welcome to do so. Since this lasts several days, no GA group ride is planned, as everyone can arrive and leave whenever best for them between Wednesday and Sunday. I, myself, will likely leave early Friday morning and head home Sunday afternoon, so anyone that would like to ride together then is welcome to send me a PM so we can make arrangements to get together. Camping is available at the KOA and there are motels nearby for those that can stay overnight. TERRY
  21. That's one fine-looking steed, Annie! A great job and "hat's off" to all that worked on it with you and for you. May you enjoy every precious moment as you "haul aussie" in your lovely country... TERRY
  22. I am so happy for you, Annie, and I can't wait to see a picture of the great big smile you'll have on your face when you start riding again! TERRY
  23. George and Bobbie, I am so glad that you are both OK and so sorry that your house has taken such a beating. Janis and I send our regards and hope you'll let us know if we can do anything to help... TERRY
  24. What matters most is that you and Becky are OK, Bob, which I am very, very glad to hear! TERRY
  25. Innocent? No one in that group could possibly qualify, Margaret. I mean, really... TERRY
