  1. There's probably a default timeout for inactivity in the Vbullentin of 30 minutes or so. I think Don had it set for like an hours at one time. He did an upgrade and that may have affected it. Did you check the box for to remember you on your last login?
  2. I gots one of them thar escargot's. It worked both ways, had it for an MC trailer and removed it to put it on top of the RAV. Works pretty good.
  3. I use to be like that, You know I didn't even get to taste some of the bugs I swallowed. Yea,they all seem smaller after you've been on a Royal Star
  4. Hey Jack, I got this from a reliable source "check behind the collector where the shift mech/cross over comes out".
  5. That's not a drive Jack. That's a very short putt......
  6. KBB retail on it is 9460. So he's below dealer price but above trade in price. Its also outta warranty but these bikes are the same as the 1st gens as far as relabilty.
  7. I have no nuts .... :rotf: Seat ain't goin anywhere cause when the bike is movin I is holding it down with my butt.
  8. You ain't never gonna be ready at this rate... Did you catch that...
  9. Check your air filters. Don't ask me how I know this. Mike, I sure felt mine when it started to miss.
  10. Your eyes have started to go already. Don't try to adjust the focus on the monitor cause that ain't it.... So Your probably old enough.... :rotf:
  11. You know these numbers are not that much better than a RSV. Top speed is 126 and a 1/4 mile in over 12..... http://www.hondagoldwings.com/goldwing%20specs/GLX1800-30thAnn-2005.htm
  12. 85 in 3rd. Then think about shifting to 4th.
  13. My cable only works with the Devices that have a "Mic In" plug. What GPS are you trying to hook up ?
  14. The bike is really still pulling strong when the rev limiter kicks in. Remember this is basically the same engine in the V-max and I think its running upwards of 9k. So what's really fun is hittin 3dr gear and taking it to 85. The bike just takes off in 3rd. If I can't beat them in 3rd I probably won't.
  15. Actually what happens with a standard bulb is this. First look at the bulb. You'll see 2 elements. One is for low and one is for high. When you switch to hi beam it switches element on the standard bulb. That changes the focus of the reflector. The HID I showed does basically the same thing. Since the HID only has one element it moves it back to where the element should be for hi then out for low. Works good. On a standard bulb both elements are not used at the same time hi beam in case any of you were wondering
  16. Can't run a modulator on them cause the modulator changes the voltage. The HID would just go out.
  17. When the oil is only half up the sight glass your gettin an oil level light on hard acceleration. You will notice it most in first in second. Its not the rev limit its the low oil level light. Your oil is fine. What's happening is as you accelerate the oil is moving back in the pan and the oil level indicator light comes on. Notice I said "oil level". Its a little bug in their system. Take it to 3/4 up the sight glass and it will stop. The bike has plenty of oil in it at 1/2 , its just the hard acceleration and it moves off the sender unit and the bike thinks its not enough oil.I run it at 3/4 up the sight glass and it doesn't do that. When you do hit the limit the bike will miss and the oil light will flash.
  18. Too small.
  19. This is what it looks like. Towards the bottom of the page there is a display showing the switch for hi/lo. I'm not recommending this kit or company. The type of HID Bi-Xenon is what I wanted to show. The link at the bottom of this page is some what less expensive. http://www.xtralights.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=22 http://www.xtralights.com/images/bixenon_compare.gif http://gothidkit.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=40
  20. Looks like this. I would go with 6000k. I have 8000k and its a little too blue for me but I'll wait another year and change it out. Its been on the bike for 3 years now.Be sure to get the kind where the element/capsule change position for HI/LO. The housings reflector is designed for elements in 2 different locations for HI/LO. I'll see if I can find a link to a set like mine Bi-Xenon HID H4 http://www.shopxenon.com/images/Halo_vs_hid.jpg
  21. You guys should think about going to HID. They come down in price a lot and have a nice bright white light. I really like mine
  22. Jack, You should get a second gen. We only got one and don't have to keep buying bikes for parts.. :rotf:
  23. He's just standin there tryin to remember which side to get on, What makes you think he rode it ?
  24. If you order one of my cables the answer is yes. Once you pair the phone to the 550 you can take and make calls and just talk thru your mic. PM me if you want one.
