weird engine noise

Welcome to the nut house. There's a few nuts loose in your area there..... -
You should respond to such emails telling them you have forwarded their request to the FBI for further evaluation.

Glad your relatively OK Sarge. Now if I had my choice I'd probably be after a new Challenger or Mustang. I went thru five Gm products in the last 15 years and none of them were as good a I thought they should have been. Course there is that really fast CTS-V Coupe..

Prayers offered.

VentureRiders Ventured 500 750 1000 in one day ?
-
More like WELL if it was yesterday afternoon..
-
They did that because way back then there wasn't any places to just stop and eat. And in your day Jack it took a while to skin and cook a buffalo anyway....

I have had my Zumo for about 5 years now. Already had it replaced twice. Once I had to pay for. Then the screen went out again. Bought one of line for like 40 and fixed that. But I'm about through with the 550 myself. To small and old now. Much better units out there for way less. I got baggies cheap. I just need to stick with a unit that has a "mic in" so I can still use my BT cable.

A lot of these bikes have a whine or chirp but mine is when its moving and at specific speeds. Rattles are not normal. One thing is, sounds heard on this bike may be coming from anywhere. The fairing will reflect sound from the back and make it sound like it in the front or beside you. Check along the rear fender by the saddlebags for loose bolts. Its a common problem on these bikes and could be the source of your rattle. -
Front tire goes your going down pretty quick. It'll wash out the first time it gets to far to one side or the other and you try to steer it the other way.
-
Might be, I haven't had the front wheel off in a long time. I might be thinking of my old Nomad. I remember getting water in the bearing from a pressure washer on it. Had to replace the bearings they got eaten up so bad.
-
You may want to remove the front wheel and check to see if the pressure washing forced water in past the bearing seals. If so re grease the bearings. Check the calipers to see if they are hanging also.

These fit the RSV Pirelli MT66

Pickups are easy to roll over. Saw one roll over on the freeway just from turning to hard trying to avoid someone changing lanes into them. Could have been the drive tried evasive maneuvers and the impact just helped push it over. Turning left in front of the rider, all kinds of things could have caused it but the one thing for sure is the other riders said she was going FAST. Wrong thing to do...
-
Yea, They were good tires cept for the cracks.
-
I went to Pirelli's. After the third set cracked that was it for me.
-
Try blowing some compressed air in there if you have a compressor. I only buy Fords.... That outta get something started..

I had a 73 Barracuda. Baby blue with white seats. Got t-boned at a traffic light in Richardson TX. IT was totaled . That was a good car, even had AC in it. http://www.holtautosales.com/inventory/C73_1973_Baracuda_Blue/P1010302.jpg http://www.holtautosales.com/inventory/C73_1973_Baracuda_Blue/P1010345.jpg

Horsepower And Torque Chart RSV vs RK
BuddyRich replied to SilvrT's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Funny how the RSV shows it's losin HP just at 6k. Mine is still pulling hard when the rev limiter kicks in at 6400. Gotta get the Dyna to raise the rev limit now that I'm outta warranty. -
