Its been like that for more than forty years. Them dang bridges across the river are the biggest problems. Been like that since I was a kid and worked in Cinn.

That would be good. Have to find a way to purrty up the cable then. I know it changes to a 16 pin (I think) Deutsch connector once it goes into the fairing. Similar to this one but black. http://www.streetperformance.com/ART/PRODUCTS/298/msd-8186.jpeg

Yep. The book says way later than that. Tell him flat out NO. Then ask him if he can read. 26600 miles If he still insist then take your bike somewhere else cause he can't read and he really needs to be able to read (particularly numbers) to do a valve adjustment.... http://www.starmotorcycles.com/assets/service/manuals/2007/LIT-11626-20-24_venture_1307.pdf

Pads don't make much difference on the rear. You'll lock the rear tire no matter what pads you have on fairly easily. I have even locked the front here a couple of times in San Antonio. I have Double HH on all my brakes
-
I have never had a pair of rear pads go past 12k. That's the max I get out of EBC double HH's. Most are done by 9k. But wear is dependent on your riding style and if its city or highway. I always use "head and eyes" along with the friction zone and feathering the rear brake. And I'm about 60% city 40% highway.

Is this one of the symptoms of a ign switch goin bad ? Seems like I remember somebody having one act like this before and it turned out to be the Ignition Switch.

New 4th of July ride. How about several thousand vets show up on their doorstep ? And then never leave. Somebody gotta watch the nuts. -
They are made outta that screen and some type of graphite or something that make them solid kinda of. Looks like all the solid blew out. I think I paid 15 for a set a couple of years ago.

Buzz question again
BuddyRich replied to Puckman123's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Your luggin the engine. No carb changes will fix that. 3rd will go to 90. I don't even get into third till about 45 or 50. I would change my shift points if I were you.. -
That's kinda like finding a window for a 1940 Willy's isn't it ?...

You traded off mpg for power. No way around that usually.

Side Gapping, any one done it yet?
BuddyRich replied to Darren's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Snake oil if you ask me. Its not going to make the spark any hotter and once ignition commences spark has little to do with it. A slower burn produces more heat therefore more power. Its more about air to fuel mix and compression than how hot the spark is unless your running in top fueler class and such. It is different, I just don't think its going to make a lot of difference. Anybody trying it report back and lets see how it goes. -
Does the CB work. Its got an orange light on it. Killing the battery usually doesn't kill the radio. There are connectors under the front fairing for the radio control head. Check them also

Yea, and on top of that I got supercrew with the six foot bed. Way too much bike hangin outta the back. I was thinking a piece of plywood with a 2x12 in the center where the wheels would actually rest. Would the cables be able to take the weight getting the bike on the back is anudder question. They don't actually have my old trailer in their possession. I got a call from the Deputy Sheriff of that county. He had a computer hit on someone trying to register it in MAss. Wanted to know if I wanted to drive up and get it. I told him no but someone needs to go to jail. He said he would look further into it. That was like 3 months ago. Have not heard anything since.

I always tie it down by the handle bars and the rear crash bars. Put the bike in the trailer. then look at where to put your eyebolts so that you clear the fairings in the front and your not pulling to much forward or backward. The rear crash bars you can really latch the bike down with. I also don't like leaving it in gear on the trailer so I make some wheel chocks outta 4x4's and screw them into the floor of the trailer once the bike is in place. One in front of the rear wheel and one in back of the front wheel usually does the trick.

Taylor Mill,Kentucky to see Ma.Wanna get some riding in on the roads back home while I work on her house.
-
That's an idea. Any reasons why that would not work anyone ?
-
Two questions. Has anyone loaded an RSV into the bed of a F150 (04 thru 08) with the tailgate down using a ramp ? Did the tailgate take the weight of the bike and the rider without bending if so? Is there any reason you could not tow an RSV backwards in one of those one wheel Receiver hitch things with the rear wheel off the ground?

Wave or don't wave. What ever, Don't let it ruin your day. No big deal in my opinion. Now, turn signals are not optional and I wish people would use them ALL THE TIME...
