My 83 Venture
bongobobny replied to Brianb's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Yah! The '83 was a different configuration, but the idea is the same, resolder all the connections on the input plug as the solder is over 25 years old and deteriorated... -

First thing, you will need a 5 wire to 4 wire adapter. They usually cost about $30, and are sometimes listed as a Honda adapter. Wally world, Auto Zone, etc have them. Hoppy makes a real nice protected converter with solid state relays to isolate the lines for around $40 but I can't remembger the part number. Yammi's color code is Blue is running lights, Yellow is brake lights, and Green and Brown are the turn signals, but I can't remember which is right and left... -

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it will be accepted, and that the Consulate just did not want to commit themselves to some kind of ruling. Here in the states a State handicap permit is recognised in all the states and Canada...

Having had two wives call me to tell me they had been in an accident I'm glad they called because then I know they are alive and not seriously hurt. I am not the stereotypical husband that yells at his wife for crumpling a fender but instead am immediately concerned for her and other's well being! We have insurance to fix or replace cars. Glad Laura is OK and no one else was hurt in the incident! Looks like you may be in the market for a new vehicle though...

Exhaus leak will also cause popping as will a vacuum leak, but old gas is most likely the culprit. After the seafoam try again on fresh gas. Your plugs may also need changing...

I put mine on an aftermarket illuminated rocker switch so I can verify they are on during the day. I only switched them for times when I'm using something electrical while not running so the battery wouldn't run down as fast. Yes, a relay is a good idea...

Yah! Rasberry and Cream is one of the nicest combinations they made fer sure! I definately agree abvout the acceleration. Looks like it has a lot of aftermarket on it, especially in the passenger comfort area! For 2 up touring that is the bike to take. Keep the 1st gen for solo riding...
