Nice, I just saw Kbrans last night when I stayed there on my way to Pensacola Fla. Now put an A/C unit in it and make sure that you have a shower where your at and you'll be golden:thumbsup2:

Personally I would say to get him a 2 wheeled bike, not a quad. I know that I ride my touring bikes like a dirt bike in using the rear brake a lot and down shifting before a corner to be in a good power band. It will also help with balance to be on 2 wheels, I had a '79 Yamaha 250 enduro a few years back that I ended up selling on ebay because I knew it was a money maker. I played with it a few times in the back yard and told myself that I was getting a bit too old to be bouncing around in the dirt. I just knew if I kept it I would either break it or myself

Yep.....It's good to swap out the fluids every 2 to 3 years, traditional dot 3 and 4 brake fluid absorbs moisture and will decrease the fluids abilities.

Been there....done that, I even have the shirt

I'll be 44 in October and my 1st Venture was an '84 Blonde back in '04, been riding since I was about 10.

Dollars to donuts I'd be willing to bet thats your problem, it will bounce and shake all over the place.

You can see what a pain it is to find one, buy a new one with updated maps, install it and be done with it

Just bought the lower, I dont remember which side I needed, but for $20.05 I'm not going to let that one slip away because I screwed around. If I dont need it, I'll post it up here as an auction to help bring Annie and Quickstep over.

Annie, I just happen to have a cassette deck for the '99 I'm working on and I took a few pics for you. Here's the measurements in the queen mums system.... Width - 140 mm Length - about the same @ 140 mm Thickness - 50 mm If you need them in the yanks measuring system just say the word and I'll measure it with a good ole USofA tape

Dave, I offered, so dont feel like your taking advantage my friend. I talked with Ponch and we'll see about getting over there and taking some measurements. I think a good idea also is for us to take the trailer into the shop and we'll weld the tongue solid so the whole frame assembly is solid and can't move....we'll get it figured out before you head out in September :thumbsup2:

Refreshing the dessicant
Squidley replied to Freebird's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Another trick for drying desiccant is to spread it out evenly on a paper towel and put it in the microwave and nuke it. I did this on helicopters in the service as they had canisters to absorb moisture in the tail section to keep the avionics dry. It will turn the Pink desiccant Blue when the moisture is removed, you just pour it back in AFTER it cools down. -
83 carburator issues - idle increases
Squidley replied to mshowe's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Full can of seafoam in a full tank of gas, run it so that all the carbs will have the bowls filled with the mixture. Let it sit overnight and do it's stuff, it will run worse the next day. Ride it hard for 30 or 40 miles, or run the tank completely out. Get on the eway and take her up 70+ mph and run it like you hate it. This will break anything up in the carbs within reason, do a carb sync and let us know how it's running after that -
