  1. Your just sore that I'm here and your not I will give him the benefit of the doubt Shot, I'm a transplant, or Damn Yankee if you like. It was either move here or Tennessee, and Texas won out. We like it here, just not so much Houston
  2. Jeff, I dont know if this has been mentioned, but have you checked the air delivery system, meaning air filters and all the components that get air from the outside the bike to the inside of the motor? My only next guess is an electrical issue with the ignition module, are you running the stock Yamaha one or is there a Dyna 3000 in your bike....just throwing out some wild guesses here
  3.
  4. They haven't? I have heard of several failing, though not common. Denden who is a member here had his '01 rearend changed at Star Days a few years back if I'm not mistaken. I know other members have talked about the howling they have heard from the rearend too. I have pulled trailers on my Ventures, both 1st and 2nd gen for better than 30K miles. In '06 I did a 10K month long trip pulling a trailer behind my '99. Your rearend is a fluke and I wouldn't be super concerned with it, have them swap it out and continue pulling your trailer. Not to get on a rant, but I have noticed in the later model year RSV's that it seems like more items are failing. I have to think that Yamaha has been using cheaper vendors to make their parts. I have heard of plenty of fuel pumps failing, prematurely it seems like in the later model years. I rarely hear of them failing in the early RSV's
  5. I have had a few of Jim Beams creations in my day, I like my margaritas though 1st time @ Olive Garden they asked me if I'd like a shot of Amaretto in it, I looked at her and said what? So I tried it and it really tasted good, been doing it ever since You do know that you have opened yourself up to hosting a MD in your area at some point
  6. Thats a bummer, I never felt that on the set I had, but thats why there are so many different tires around. Not everyone rides the same way, best of luck with your Dunlops
  7. It is so hard for me to keep my mouth shut!
  8. Took the words right out of my mouth
  9. Your home!
  10. Just for me memory bank to keep, were you not happy with the tires performance of just the fact that they didn't last long? I agree with the short life, as my rear only had about 6500 miles on it, but did the handling aspect of yours not feel good, just curious is all?
  11. Thanks Brudder! Lonna and I will get over there soon, were having withdrawls from not seeing you and Deb
  12. That would be just like Ponch, he's pretty cool he is Glad you folks got it done and had some time to visit, I know I sure do miss that
  13. The life of a road warrior! I do hope that you don't get all the forcasted rain, but enjoy your trip. BTW how has the bike been running? Have a safe trip and we'll see you when you get back down here to TEXAS!
  14. I'd like a Margarita frozen with a shot of Amaretto in it please
  15. Kevin, We talked about needing to be a bit imbalanced to host one of these. I knew you would do great, you are a great asset to this forum and I want to thank you for stepping up to the plate and hosting the 5th year anniversary IR. I know the amount of work you and several others put into this. WE are lucky to have members like you, Sue and Bummer, Darrin and Owl, Joe too. The friendships that happen due to us as a group getting together is awsome. I have made some of the best friendships any person could imagine with the people here. Good on all of your planning committee and everyone that lent a hand along the lines and at the rally to make it a success
  16. Damn! Making me kick myself harder for not being able to be there. That woman does good things with "To-Kill-You" in Marguaritas, Lots of great stories I know will accompany this event Darrin....Who you trying to fool Suckah!
  17. Thats cold Jack....I have all 3 of those
  18. A spittin image I'd say
  19. It's a shame that "Supply and Demand" have taken prices up on things that seem to work pretty well. I too am sick of it as I wont buy Seafoam anymore as the price has doubled. I usually dont get on a rant, but I KNOW that the cost to make it and everything else hasn't doubled I'll have to look for that stuff Randy, price seems right and if it works as well then I'm all for it. Pledge is also a good alternative, just dont get the lemon sented one as it attracts bees and such!
  20. Me thinks this has something to do with a pirate and perhaps some Captain Morgans
  21. Thats a great deal!
  22. It wouldn't be right if I didn't bust his chops, I know how hard he worked at this and I'm really proud of him pulling it off. Sounds like you folks had a great time and I'm still not over not being able to be there. I'm looking forward to some more of the pics and it's good to hear you folks ahd a good time
  23. I see...now we have the big Enigma going on
  24. Brett, Have a great trip, that is some of the best riding in the country through that area. If you have the opportunity go through the Cherohala Skyway. US 74/64 either into or out of Cleveland TN is a great ride too right along the river in most spots.
