  1. OK - I'm totally confused --- dark side ? CT tire ?? Is this a Venture tire ??
  2. I have the quick bolts as well as one of Marks light bars. It took maybe 20 minutes to hook up the light bar and the only tools required was the license plate bolts. Shipping is FAST !! http://r-markventures.blogspot.com/
  3. I'm a newbie here but I plan on attending MD in Oberlin if my new knee allows it. Also I'd be happy to kick in for food whether I make it or not. Perhaps a rolling food fund would be in order. Why does Don have to provide EVERYTHING ?? just mho
  4. I think you just did, but you might want to check out the hyperlinks on the left side of the home page.
  5. Redneck - Pics are just GREAT !! This is the 4th year we have made plans to go. The first year we lost a dil to cancer. She was diagnosed and passed within a month. Couldn't leave my son -- The second year gas prices scared the heck out of us. the third year my wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, another summer of surgery and chemo. 8 weeks ago I had to have my rt.knee replaced, 1st injury & surgery in1960 in the Army, 3 more surgeries in 1978 & 79. 2 months ago the shots didn't work so they took it out. Good thing is that I did ride the bike (2007 Venture) today for the 6th time since surgery. Bad thing is that I have to force a 95 degree bend. Hopefully in a month or so I'll be somewhat back to normal, whatever that is. We plan on putting the bike in a trailer, hook up the Z71 and go. Camp at campgrounds whenever we can and stay at hotels/motels when we need to. I know I won't be able to ride the bike all the way but I still want to be able to experience the "open road" that's only available on a bike. That's why the trailer, gonna cost a little more but I don't intend to take it with me and I'm not leaving a big inheritance. Thanks for the pics, it only makes us want to go for sure this year.
  6. Sorry - all I get is the human test - click return or search and it gives me another test:confused07:confused07:
  7. How does 17 in the code compute to April ?
  8. I have been told many times by leo's that the 5mph over rule is safe everywhere except in residential and school zones. That's in Ohio and I've found it to be true everywhere as I've been shot numerous times on I77, I95 in different states with no problem. Of course that was last year, things may change.
  9. I don't know if $10 g's is a good price or not. Late last summer I bought a 2007, stock w/13,000 miles. It had intercom, Zumo 550 w/xm radio and a Radar detector. I thought I got a fair deal at $11,500.
  10. Freebird - I have the Zumo 550 XM on my Venture and am trying to find fixtures so that I can just unlock the zumo and put it in the truck. Also, I'll most likely have to get an XM antenna for the truck as well ??
  11. I tried a FF helmet ONCE - actually, I only tried it on and got such a claustrophobic feeling that I declined. I have 2 that I wear and on specific occasions. When my wife is with me we both wear a full helmet with headsets, when I'm 1 up I wear a half helmet with the volume turned up. Occasionally, for short rides around town I wear my chevy ball cap. Just for clarification - a ride around town, if I hit every named street will take about 20 minutes. Pretty small town, don't even have a stop light on the square but I love it.
  12. It doesn't cost that much to insert pictures. Using photoshop to hide the bike is a really poor marketing idea. really curious what they are hiding ??
  13. I'm with Freebird on this - wouldn't want one but somebody did a lot of really neat work. Takes a lot of talent - I applaud that.
  14. Has anybody tried to buy and PAY for anything using this system ??
  15. I got the Seat nuts and the bag bolts - gonna make things easier. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get the seat off - gotta be a couple nuts somewhere:whistling: Thanks Rick for the GREAT ideas and fast shipping
  16. I can't imagine doing that for recreation (fun) but it sure could get you out of a bind.
  17. yep - makes sense to me :puzzled:
  18. never heard of scambaiters but I've got $60,000 in bogus checks right now. After I get their check I email and tell them that my bank wants $15 to cash an out of state check and to please forward the cash to me asap. Go ahead and cash the check, I can't - don't have $15 - take it out of the check, can't On & on until they finally just go away. I always make a concerted effort to inform the bank or whomever the check is drawn on. I had one from a GM dealer in Florida that even had an 800 number to call if the check looked phoney.
  19. Dammitt I had a wireless mouse here somewhere - don't need that coffee to wake up with now
  20. 5:30 AM - all we got here in NE (mid-state) Ohio was some snow. There is a lot of wind so things may change.
  21. I put 55 watt white's on my Silverado - high & low beam I will never have another vehicle with yellow bulbs. I found them online & they have a lifetime warranty. If it quits, just mail it back and the send a new set.
  22. SCAM is definitely the proper description - I'm not too far from "Ohio, Cleveland USA" so ask him for his church address and I'll get some of his parishioners to adopt his PUPPIES. I really enjoy pi$$ing with those nigerians.
  23. I've had a Sears Motorcycle/ATV jack for 5 years or so. It works great with the adapter on my Venture and it worked on my GoldWing Trike as well. Never had any trouble with it at all.
  24. Guys - Again, THANKS to all and I really do feel like an a$$ for thinking that group or individual here would offer anything but help and information. It is I that needs to step back and re-access my thought process. not meaning to brag about ignorance but I had to email a member to find out how to post here. Searching for archives would have surely meant buying a new monitor or keyboard It is decided then AVONS it is !!
  25. The part I found somewhat insulting is your apparent belief that your time is more valuable than mine and others. You may not have meant that, but I can't think of any other way to interpret your words. V7Goose - If a blanket apology is needed - that's what I'll do. I apologize I appreciate your efforts as do many others I'm sure. My response was done in haste to what I presumed to be a minor attack on me. It was rescinded and an apology offered. That's the best I can do. I'm not a mechanic nor am I a computer whizz so my time spent researching something on the internet or even on this board becomes a total waste of time FOR ME. My priorities are such that at this point, I don't even know how to take the seat off my Venture to check the battery. If and when it fails, I'll probably figure out how to take care of it. Til then, I don't care about it. I keep an eye on the tire pressure and engine oil -
