  1. a brown buffalo leather tank bib from chilowee leather. Oh yeah, it has to have the concho with horsehair tassle too!
  2. That woman needs some exposure. I'd like to see that video on CMT. No reason it shouldn't be.
  3. That's because they don't Jose and his entire family sitting there (because 2 of the kids have the sniffles) eating up valuable doctor and nurses time all on the backs of you and I and of course Boomer CPO!
  4. They're still around. Check them out here. http://eco.peraves.ch/ndexe.htm
  5. We get your drift Squeeze. They are a an honorable bunch, representing an honorable bunch of soldiers. Very powerful video.
  6. I stay logged in all day and "Venture" back and forth between work sites and VR.org
  7. If he paid over $20K new, then I'd say he got "hosed." They weren't that high in 06 were they?
  8. Boomer, have you been drinking? Dumb question?? I think what you just said is sacriligious!! Never in all my born days did I think I would hear these words from your mouth!!! The world must be coming to an end.
  9. I've suffered from this for about 27 years. Constant (I'm talking 24/7) ringing of the ears. Never, ever goes away. I've learned to deal with it. The only thing the docs have said would help was hearing aids that mask the noise. It does not heal. They are expensive though.
  10. Hope they come with the hair!! I can use the hair more than the wrap!!!
  11. cool idea:dancefool:
  12. Hey I copied this off of another site. They're talking about the motor cycle wave that is so prevalent here in the states when we ride. Of course most non-riders think it's goofy, but this Aussie responded based on what's normal over there I guess. Is this the general consensus over there? Just wondering? "No mate, we just don't wave. You're on a bike, I'm on a bike, we nod as we pass. Aussies and UK riders don't get excited about seeing other people on bikes. Many don't even bother nodding at all. Kinda surprised me that everyone I saw on a bike in the USA DID wave at me. We're not into the brotherhood of bikers stuff here. Maybe some Harley clubs are. That's not to say that guys won't stop if you look like you need help. I guess we're just more reserved is all. We don't fly flags or get all misty eyed when we hear the national anthem either. (Most of us think Waltzing Matilda should be the national anthem actually) It's about the only song most Aussies recognize when they hear it. Apart from ACDC of course."
  13. And barefoot at that!!!!
  14. If the carbs need cleaning, try seafoam first. There are many threads here regarding its use and how well it does. Also, it's possible that someone nearby you that has a synch tool can check your carbs out for you. Many of the people on here have had to redo a synch that a dealership does.
  15. Dang but don't that look like fun. Some of the best camping I've ever done was in weather like that.
  16. Are you kidding? I won't even step foot in our local Honda/Yammie stealership. Back when I would go there, I've been on the showroom floor 20 times and had someone come talk to me maybe twice. Besides the fact that as I was bringing a bike in to trade for a shadow they had on their floor and broke down on the way there. I called the owner and asked him if he would bring a trailer and pick me up (I was 10 minutes away) so we could deal for the shadow. He said he would then proceeded to leave me stranded there on the side of the interstate for over 2 hours. A kind gentleman finally stopped and helped me get my bike home. Needless to say, when he finally heard from me he got an earful about how I'll never even buy a spark plug from him let alone trade bikes. I've since purchased two mc's and none from him.
  17. I have the Larin and it works ok. It is very touchy when letting the bike down. With the Carbon One lift adapter it works ok but doesn't fit as well as I'd like. I need to modify it to fit the adapter better. If I had it to do over again, I'd go with the craftsman.
  18. Now that's cute!!!
  19. I run the Tom Tom rider 2 and it's o.k. The biggest problem I have with it is that it cannot be connected to the bikes intercom system like some of the Garmins can. The screen is difficult to see in direct sunlight also. Other than that I haven't really had any issues with it.
  20. Actually, it was about a minute and half late when it came over us. We were looking at these little stars thinking they were moving & then here these two come over the horizon and there was no problem telling that's what they were. Really one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. Just think if your mom or dad were up there. Wouldn't it be awesome to go out and watch them fly over.
  21. We caught it as it passed over SE Missouri tonite. That was really a cool thing to watch. We weren't sure what to look for at first, but once you see it, there was no mistaking it. Awesome.
  22. Dark meat turkey and giblet gravy on dressing.
  23. yes, it does reflect. I've also seen reflection from the sun on cars/autos in front of me. I like that fact as I feel it just adds to their visibility of me and that's always a good thing. I figure they don't like it much, but at least they know I'm there.
  24. Please add me to the list. Thanks, Ken aka slick97spirit
