  1. Same here Craig. I don't see any problem there. Especially with a meal.
  2. ANYONE running toward a nut case like that with the intention of stopping him or helping others is a hero in my book. From what I hear there were many heroes that day. Reportedly, many of the service men and women were tearing their camos off to use as bandages. And that was prior to the perp being taken out.
  3. Anyone have a photo of the inside of one of those KOA cabins/sheds! I gotta start getting the wife's keyed up for staying in one of those. Do they provide anything with the cabin? Bedding, etc? Inquiring minds want to know (and those of us who have to convince the rear speaker)
  4. After riding my Shadow with straight pipes for about 6 years, I just could not get used to the quiet ride of the stock venture muffs. I went to Road King pipes then drilled out both baffles and the sound is great. No performance enhancements what so ever. But the sound when you romp on it is perfect. At highway speeds it's not much louder than stock. Exactly what I was looking for.
  5. Son of a buck!!! Man that's gorgeous!!
  6. put me down for a couple Tom
  7. Where can I find the link to their site?
  8. I've got a brother that live in Corpus Christie. He takes great delight in calling me often to tell me that it's 80 and sunny with a slight breeze in off the ocean.
  9. Gotta go along with you on this one Bill. Because I ride a bike does not mean that I am not going to mess up. We have all pulled out in front of someone or misjudged a distance or didn't see the other driver at some point in our driving careers whether in a car or on a bike. It happens. Now drunk driving is a totally different matter. Just my 2 cents added to Bill's.
  10. Squid, you know what I appreciate? The fact that you went in and put everyone's names on each picture. That really helps those of us that don't get to go to many m&e's. It's always good to put a face to a name. I know that took alot of effort, but we appreciate it.
  11. 2000 Millenium 32,231 miles
  12. Isn't that the one they call the "Dam Bridge." They shouldn't cuss the bridge like that before anyone even drives over it!!!
  13. Hang in there Bud, it'll be gone in a couple of days. In the mean time I'll be lifting you up while I'm praying that my sinus infection goes away............far, far, away........
  14. It's really not that bad. They have a pretty low center of gravity. I've never ridden one, but I was in their factory today in Dyersberg, TN. I sat on a couple and pulled them up off of their stand. Not to bad. Now that tank is about 2 1/2 feet wide.
  15. I started at the ripe age of 13 and smoked till I turned 45. I too quit cold turkey. I'm 50 now and the urge still rears it's ugly head now and then, but I've come to learn that if I just get busy doing something else, it does not last long at all. Just get your mind on something (anything) else. Do anything you can to get it out of your mind. Hang in there it gets much easier. It'll take some time for your lungs to heal. I can actually run 5 miles non-stop now. When I quit I couldn't walk a mile. Proud of you!!! Hang in there!!!
  16. annie, what is the paypal address that should be used? Ken aka slick97spirit

  19. Black snakes are good. Keep other snakes away as well as eat lots of mice, etc. I've had one hanging around my house for several years. He's bout 4 1/2 feet long now.
  20. On our way back from Florida this summer we had to do about 280 miles in a constant (sometimes blinding hard) rain. The bike handled great and with all the fairing I stayed relatively dry. Luckily my wife was driving a truck home that our son had bought on the internet so she was able to stay dry.
  21. Only an old crotchedy Texan would consider riding north to snow country in late Oct/ early Nov. and with a dog at that!!!!
  22. Just wait, wouldn't surprise me if some of the Ohio guys chime in and offer transport.
  23. Just proves that anyone can drop a bike every now and then. http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/10/video-brad-pitt-motorcycle-accident-%E2%80%93-watch-it-happen
  24. Ditto all of the above. Drill em out. You won't be sorry. At idle and slow going they are not much louder but sound great when you torq on it.
  25. Trilobites (arthropods), We had a farm with a creek running through it here in SE Missouri. One day these geologist drive up and want to look for fossils in our creek. They found several of these "Trilobite thingies" in our creek. They told me they were ocean dwelling creatures. Kinda backs up the Noah theory to me!!!
