My doc tells me that cholesterol/blockage is hereditary and that you can eat right and excercise but still end up with blockage.

Gauges Not Working?????
slick97spirit replied to StarRider07's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
StarRider, I'm responding to your post to bump it back up. I think the post was overlooked. I definately don't have enough experience to be able to offer advice. My gauges worked really well but I used the sun pro and yes the oil fills the line all the way to the gauge. At least mine does anyway. Hope you get this worked out, because it is a big job. I'm sure ponch or someone will chime in soon to help. Good luck. -

Squid, I agree. Inflating a tire that's supposed to max out at 36 psi to over 100 psi can't be good for it. Something inside that thing's got to give. That's why I posted this as I felt it was good info for the darksiders to have.
-
That would be correct. My mistake. I should have originally said valve core. Sorry for the confusion.
-
After he seats the beads he just allows the tire to deflate. He then puts the valve core in and airs it back up. Once you seat the beads, allow it to deflate doesn't hurt anything. It will not unseat.

Since I've been mulling over going "Dark" next tire change, I've been asking around about seating the beads. I spoke to one of the techs at a local shop who'll mount a CT for me (if I sign a waiver) and asked what kind of pressure he's seen while seating the tires. Needless to say, I was shocked when he says he gets them to seat @ 40-45 psi with a good lube. I asked how he was able to do that and told him about the 100+ psi horror stories I've heard about on here. He said the trick was to remove the valve stem because the stem only allows the air in at a much slower rate. He said by taking the stem out, and hitting it with pressure, the quicker rate of inflation makes it seat easier, quicker, and better. I've not seen it happen, just passing along the info. Hope it helps.

Thought I would post this in case anyone was interested. It's a black tank bra with pocket, concho and tassle. Pretty slick looking. If they had one in brown, I'd jump all over it. There's only one left I think. http://www.chilhowee.net/yamaha-tank-bra/090925019.html

Oh Hush!!!!

Don, Did you say that you have one and like it? If you recommend it I'd be down for one. Just don't tell the gate keeper. How does it attach?

Same here. Soon as I start up the office puter I check it out. Bought a netbook for the wife from there not long ago. Their shipping is slow otherwise, great people to do business with.

So you're a Wooter too, Huh? Check it everyday.

Been wanting one of these for a long long time.....

my boys were really rough on their phones too till I started making them pay for their own. I pay for the plan but they pay for the phone. It's surprising how long they'll last when they have to fork out the dough!!!!!

Let me know what you find out. You would probably have to email the company at the link I sent you earlier. Maybe you could compare prices. I'll be interested to hear what they tell you.

I bought a Timex digital watch that will remotely control an mp3 device. I comes with a receiver that plugs into the charging dock and the watch then controls the ipod. Cool

I had this same question when I first got mine. Most people use blocks under the stand (I do sometimes with no problems), others buy an extendable mirror from any auto parts store. I've used both successfully. stay safe -
Thanks to the excellent instructions that Ponch provided with the set of gauges he sent me, I was able to successfully get them installed this weekend. I still need to finish getting everything together, but I did get the bike started and was able to test for leaks. I would have never attempted this mod without the encouragement and knowledge I receive here. This was a big job for me. I think the chrome looks great against the unique color of the millenium. Thanks again Ponch!
