  1. I would like for those of you who use the chat rooms to give me an evaluation of the two solutions that I have installed at this time. The old one is pretty slick and has some nice features but doesn't work from all devices. The new one isn't as slick but seems to work just as well and is easier to get into and out of I think. It will be your call. If you choose the new one called "Shoutbox" at the top of the page then I will update it to the pro version. That won't make it any slicker looking but will add a few features such as allowing you to detach and run it in a separate window, turn the notification sounds on or off, things like that. Like I said, it is your call. From a money stand point, it's not a big deal. I would have to pay for the pro version of the new one but I also pay a yearly hosting fee separately for the old one so for the short term at least, it's pretty much a wash. So lets hear it. What do you want? The other option is that I could keep both but not upgrade the new one to the pro version. Just leave it as it is. I really don't think that we need two chat rooms though.
  2. My 83 VR needs new throttle cables. How much disassembling is required to do it? Do I need to pull the battery and airbox to do it, or is there some slick trick I'm not seeing? Initially, I'm just doing the cables running from the twist grip. Thanks
  3. Thought I would post this in case anyone was interested. It's a black tank bra with pocket, concho and tassle. Pretty slick looking. If they had one in brown, I'd jump all over it. There's only one left I think. http://www.chilhowee.net/yamaha-tank-bra/090925019.html
  4. Hey SilvrT, How are those Geetar fingers comming along? I've got some hard slick finger tips now and was just wondering how yours were doing.
  5. I think this is pretty slick ! BEER30
  6. Apple's New Mac Book Air. Thats realy slick computer. What do you think? http://www.apple.com/
  7. I knew that i needed a new back tire and it should have been here last week but somehow over night shipping turned into 5 days, enough about that. Like i said, i knew the tire was slick. I looked at it every day to make sure it was still just slick and not worse. The problem is that with the bumper and all the trim, it is difficult to see the tire without a close inspection. I could only see about 6 inches of the tread through this hole that is suppose to have a rubber insert in it. Everytime i looked at it, I saw a slick tire; but it still had rubber there. Well, I got my new tire in finally. Tuesday. When i looked at the tire I saw what you see in the picture. It is only half of the tire. the other half still has rubber and is what i was looking at. I had just ridden this home, about a 25 mile trip, Making about 70 MPH on Hwy 49. And it was hot...............All i can say is thank you Jesus!!! They say He watches over Old Folks and fools. I guess that means i got double protection. Now, go look at your back tire, and look at it good. BTW, The other picture is how i got the tire off. With all the dress items it is almost impossible to get the tire out from under the bike with it just on the center stand. This time i put the kick stand down on a 2x4 and set me floor jack under the pivot point of the center stand. This allowed me to raise and tilt the bike allowing easier removal of the tire. It worked almost flawlessly. The jack should have been placed further back though. It was almost at the balance point. When i put the tire back on, the bike almost tilted back and it tried to spin aroung at the same time.
  8. I saw this on another forum and it is pretty slick idea http://forums.delphiforums.com/vrider/messages?msg=3299.1
