  1. Just send me a PM and let me know how much it is per foot. I am out of town but will measure when I get home to see how much I need. I'm thinking probably probably no more than 8 - 10 ft.
  2. You use a hole saw. Available in most tool departments such as Sears, Home Depot, etc.
  3. HEY HEY HEY....was THAT really necessary?
  4. Probably, if they have one of the pumps but you absolutely SHOULD have one. It is just one of those things are is almost a necessity if you own an RSV.
  5. That looks like it would probably work. How will it hold up to the weather?
  6. I have never run zero in the rear whether pulling a trailer or not. I would recommend that you try about 35 lbs. We weigh a bit more than you and pulling a fairly heavily loaded trailer, I run about 40 lbs. You really need a progressive pump if you don't have one.
  7. Price depends upon the size. Do you remember what size it was?
  8. I'm going to estimate that it would run somewhere between $50 and $75.00. Any sign shop and make them. FastSigns, SignaRama, Next Day Signs or one of the many independent shops. It depends on the size. They are usually priced per sq. ft.
  9. Take a look at this thread. It shows them well. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13263
  10. That is almost like miracle. Did you actually PULL the rear caliper where you could really look at the inside pad?
  11. Nope, it's not at my house. The one at my house is a Star Motorcycle banner that has been signed by those who show up at Maintenance Day. I do not have the one that says VentureRiders on it.
  12. I've run 87 in mine since it was new in 1999. I've tried higher octanes maybe a half dozen times and have NEVER seen any benefit.
  13. Let's give it a few more days and see if any other suggestions or preferences come in. If we do it, I'll try to get started on the tear down before then maybe. It will be hard because I'm usually slammed getting ready for the big day.
  14. Rick, It may not be just perfect but it's so close that nobody would likely ever notice. I bought it here: http://www.jbugs.com/category/Basketweave-vinyl.html
  15. I'm sure they are black walls. I don't think Avon makes whitewall but also, I've never seen whitewalls on Eddies bike I don't think.
  16. Yes, it is a Hopnel bib. I contacted them MONTHS ago asking if I could buy some of the basketweave vinyl and they never even responded. They have actually been bought out by somebody else now though. I finally found some vinyl that is actually upholstery material for the old VW Beetles and it is almost a perfect match.
  17. Yes, she was one of the first that I contacted. She did NOT get uppity though. She did tell me that she could not duplicate basketweave tough. Actually I may contact her again now that I have that material and just see if they can make them if I send it to her.
  18. No, I have not but I'll take a look the next time I see one in my travels.
  19. Yes, I think he ever sells a wiring kit for it. At least he used to. Here is a link to his stuff in the classifieds. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=24
  20. No is the answer on the rear tire. I've never tried the front so can't say for sure but I'm going to say no to it also unless you remove the fender.
  21. I actually spoke to a couple of folks who do leather work and they told me that they couldn't really duplicate it. It's not that I really want to make it myself, I just couldn't find anybody to do it. Now that I have the basketweave material, maybe I would offer to send it to them and now they could do it. I don't know. SOME of those real leathersmiths get a bit uppity if you mention vinyl.
  22. I want to make a set of saddlebag bibs that match my Hopnel tank and trunk bibs. I finally found and bought some basketweave vinyl that is a very close match. I thought that the vinyl braid would be very easy to find but I've looked everywhere that I know to look and haven't been able to source it. It is about 5/16" - 3/8" wide. Any ideas?
  23. If anybody is interested, I got the following message from Eddie. I put a new set of Avons on my bike. The ones I took off have about 8000 on them . They are in good enough shape for someone who might be down on there luck and can use a set. Let me know if you get wind of anyone. I can send them to them or to you and maybe we can give them to someone at MD. Please send him a PM if you are interested. His username is ...uh...Eddie.
  24. Did you take a look at this thread? It is on a first gen but it shows step by step pictures of the Barnett install. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=491
  25. I'm so sorry. They certainly become a part of the family. They need us but I think that we need them even more.
