I don't know of any. The only one that I know of was the one on the head bolts not being torqued properly on the '07 models.

Well yes....well..I mean no...well...I mean...."trained" is a relative term.

Geezzzz.....you might want to try staying awake.

Might be off the bike for a while...............

Really sorry to hear it Lewis. You and Charlene have had way to much of this junk on your plate over the past few years. I hope that it turns out not to be as major as it sounds. Lewis, have you considered WHAT might be causing these misfortunes? When I see your avatar, it makes me wonder..hmmmmmmmmmm.......... Is it possible that you are being punished for your support of those Loozianner boys? Maybe change that avatar to a white star on a blue background and just see if things don't get better for you. -
Installed my SpeedOhealer

It's been a few years since I installed mine but I remember it being fairly straight forward. I don't think you'll have any problem.- 15 replies

Very good Gary. You should post it as a new thread also so that perhaps more people will see it. Thanks for taking the time to do that.
-
No, you are correct. I understand now. I didn't realize that you were talking about posting a new message, I was talking about when I look at a thread and the box at the bottom that shows similar threads. You are correct that it does away when you are staring to post a new thread. The only way around it is to right click on the existing thread that you want to look at and choose "view in a new tab" or "open in a new page". Then that leaves your original page there and you can just close the new one that you opened to see the others and repeat.

Well, I don't know if they have anything that can be made to fit an '83 or not but on my '95 Shadow Ace, I had Leatherlyke bags and I really liked them. http://www.leatherlyke.com/?gclid=CNu34fT2sKgCFYS8KgodR0MVHw Here is a picture of what I had. Actually, I really wish that I still had this bike in addition to my RSV. I really did like it.

Well the good news is that I offer a life time guarantee on all the mugs that I sell. The bad new? Once it breaks, it's life is OVER so the guarantee would obviously not apply. Now, have you tried putting it back together? They are designed so that they can be taken apart and cleaned. There would have been a little pamphlet somewhere in the bag or in the mug that tells how to do it. If I remember correctly, you just put it back on and press firmly to snap it back together but I'm not sure. And finally, you CAN order replacement tops for them. There may be cheaper places, I really haven't searched, but I know you can order them directly from the manufacturer here: http://highwave.bigcartel.com/product/joemo-xl-replacement-top

I just tried it on my wife's laptop which is running Vista and it worked fine. Maybe we are talking about two different things. Tell me exactly what you are doing and I'll look again.
-
hmmm.....I really don't know then. I use Firefox but I just tested it with IE and it worked fine with it also. I just hit the back button and those "similar threads" are still at the bottom of the original thread.

Not picking on you in any manner what so ever...I'm just curious though as to why you have changed your mind? Are you seeing a problem or just being pro-active?

1st and foremost for me. When I do a search or when I post a new topic it gives me a list of threads that have had similar parameters. I love this feature, it is very helpful ..... but..... it only allows me to view one of the listed threads. When I try to go back after reading the thread to view the other threads they are no longer there. Is there a way to make them stay at the bottom of the page so we can peruse all of them before we post? I don't think I'm understanding this correctly. When I go to one of those threads at the bottom, all I have to do is click the "back" button on my browser and they are all still listed. I just click on the next one. 2nd I see where it was mentioned before but is there a way to make a sticky type date for when each post was made, a time date stamp on each individual post? That has always been there. On the left end of the blue bar above every post is the date that it was posted. 3rd. My Valkyrie thread under our user names shows how many threads we have posted or replied to... is there a way to do that too. It is kinda nice to see who has posted . I don't understand what you are asking here. You can click on anybody's username and there is a link in the drop down menu to "find other posts by this user". You can also go to anybody's profile and click on the "Statistics" tab and see all posts and also all threads that they started. If you are talking about a number in the postbit at the top of the thread that simply shows how many posts that user has made, that is a standard feature that the members here voted to have removed. The general thought is that it just causes some people to post for the sole reason of having the most posts. Thanks this is a GREAT SITE you have done a AWESOME job with it and deserve a huge pat on the back... Thank you for the compliment. Please let me know if I have misunderstood what you are asking for in any of these instances.

Installed my SpeedOhealer
Freebird replied to shikano53's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Not exactly but it will be off. I have a Speedohealer on my bike also and I love it. Before I added the Speedohealer, I think mine was off about 7 1/2%. The odometers are also off but not by that same amount. If I remember corrected, it read about 4% high. So after corrected the speedo for 7 1/2%, the odometer now reads low about 3 percent. I'm OK with that and much prefer having the speedo read correctly.- 15 replies

I too would suspect a head gasket problem. It really surprises me because it's the first I've heard of this on any of these bikes. There was an issue with the head bolts but I think that was on the '07 models, not the '08. The good news is that you should still be under warranty and it should be covered.

Wizard must be copying them in a lower quality setting or something. I have about 3600 songs on my 16GB and it is full. So that would be about 900 on a 4GB.
-
Yes, you can pick one up at Best Buy, Walmart, etc. If it is like the 665, you are not limited to 4GB though. I have a 16GB in mine.
-
Yes, I would like to have it. I'll PM you my address. Thanks much.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I'm glad to read though that amends were made and love expressed before it was too late. So many times, it is too late before people realize that though things may not have always been perfect, the love was always there.

The trial membership is a one time thing and is for 60 days. Are you saying that you want to be notified 60 days ahead of time that your subscription is going to expire? I think that many would forget about it if it is that far ahead.

I absolutely accept your apology and offer my own for any offense caused by my own words. Many of us are pretty stubborn and such disagreements will happen from time to time. That just happens where there are so many people with such varied backgrounds.

I can easily change the time that the notification goes out. It is just at the default value now. Like I said, the only issue will be me remembering to do it each time when I upgrade the software, I may forget. So, what do most of you want? Two weeks, 30 days ?
