  1. Yea RIGHT...I KNOW what you were thinking.
  2. Try this thread. Apparently the price has gone up to 69.99 but still a good price for all four. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32943&highlight=diaphragms
  3. A picture is worth a thousand words. In stock configuration, there will be one on each side. If the AIS system has been removed, there will also be one on each side where you see the hose connected.
  4. Here you go. F4 Shields http://www.f4customs.com/ Clearview Shields http://www.clearviewshields.com/
  5. I'm all for that. Then after the show, I could go backstage and fiddle around a bit more. I just LOVE music.
  6. Folks....he DID say that he hoped you take it right. I saw nothing insulting in what was written and in fact, thought it was stated very well. Most of what was said is fact. I too like a little noise from time to time but did get tired of it after a while and went back to stock mufflers. I also know that on some bikes, going to a more free flowing exhaust can and will hurt the performance and gas mileage. I did not find that to be the case on the RSV. I can't say that it helped in any way but it didn't seem to hurt either. It is also true about the noise. As much as many of us may like the louder and deeper sounds, many cities across the USA are really cracking down on bikes due to the excess noise. It is something to think about. Not everybody needs to agree with any of this but it's certainly another side of the story that is valid. We are all free....for now anyway....to make our own decision about this issue.
  7. Nobody knows how many were produced. For some reason, Yamaha refuses to release production numbers on their bikes.
  8. I don't care if it counts or not....I still want to see them.
  9. Yes, and I think I was premature with my offer. Mine is from a RSV. Don't know what would be required to install it on a first gen. Maybe just a blank to close of the hole for the speed sensor but I'm not sure.
  10. They are now...but once upon a time....they were a REAL motorcycle.
  11. OK...I give up. Those are NOT real words. I tried several translators and many different languages and it just doesn't translate. You are a mean person making up words. I haven't given up though.

This was sent to me by another member here and I just had to share it with all of you. It speaks for itself. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vksdBSVAM6g&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - TC Bank- Dream Rangers[/ame]
  13. HEY....I don't get upset over them...excited maybe...but not upset. The way the bounce around.....hmmmmmmmmmm
  14. I have a spare final drive if you want to try it. I don't want to sell it so you may not want to bother with it because I would want it back. If you want to take the time to install mine and then remove it and send it back after your testing, I will sure send it to you. I'll pay shipping to you and you can pay to ship it back. I'm out of town though so it will be Saturday before I could get it in the mail.
  15. I always looked at it as the equivalent of the USA Aggie Jokes.
  16. Redhead .... yea....put the boots on the redhead...then.....hold on...I have to turn up the AC.
  17. Guys, I agree that the rotor needs to be changed but he said that now it doesn't even turn over. That doesn't seem right does it? It should still turn over unless I'm misunderstanding something.
  18. HA...that is nothing. You should see the honey do list that Eileen has for me that apparently has to be done before Maintenance Day.
  19. I've never used the Baker Built on a RSV. They were a very popular item for the first gen Venture and a lot of folks had them. I think that they are probably more functional than the ones that Yamaha offers but, in my opinion, they don't look nearly as good.
  20. It surprises me that you even found one. I was told that they were no longer making them for the RSV and that was a year or two ago.
  21. Soon....very soon. Garage is FINALLY warming up. Maybe I'll get to it next weekend.
  22. That is true and is indeed an advantage. I wonder though how many people don't know that they can subscribe to one or more categories in the classifies as they are now and get email notifications to new items posted for sale or wanted.
  23. Since the early days of this site, there have been folks here who have expressed the opinion that they do not like our classified area. Some have stated that they would rather have the classifieds as part of the forum and not a separate page. This poll is to allow you all to vote on this issue. Before doing so though, I would like to point out a few things that we will be giving up should we move the classifies to the forum. 1. There will be no way to hold "auctions" as are sometimes used now for St. Judes and occasionally for other reasons. 2. In order to keep it manageable, the ads in the forum will be set to expire after a pre-determined time. I'm thinking 30 days but it is open for discussion. It could be 60 or 90 days but I want to keep it to a relatively short amount of time. 3. There will be no way to "renew" an ad. The only way to renew an add will be to completely re-do the ad once it expires and is automatically deleted. 4. There will be no way to include a "buy now" feature. 5. There will be no "distance" estimate. Though it is sometimes WAY off anyway. There are probably some other things also but basically, the area will work exactly like any other area of the forum does at this time. So, please think about what you think would work the best and we'll go from there. As always, your comments are welcome.
  24. Fyrirgefðu, ég tala ekki ensku.
  25. Oh yea.....but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......she doesn't know she's a dog now. Totally spoiled.
