  1. Take a look at this thread. You aren't actually splitting the fairing but removing the windshield is part of that process. You don't need to remove the light bar or actually split the fairing though. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=494
  2. I THINK that was good.....but I really can't remember.
  3. Yep...you are right...beauty is in the eyes of the beerholder. I love pretty girls AND country music so bring them to Maintenance Day.
  4. Where are you trying to upload it to? Here? If so, yes, that is WAY to big.
  5. WHAT....a lasting......uh....do they make that seat for the RSV?
  6. That was nice. I know it must make you feel great to be able to do it.
  7. Brian, That is exactly the opposite of my experience. When I lived in Texas, my bike was always much harder to shift when using Yamaha oil. The first time I tried it, I couldn't wait to get back to Mobile 1. It's funny how we can all have different outcomes to the same attempts but it happens a lot when we start talking about oil. I found that my '88 Venture and my '99 both shifted much better with the synthetic.
  8. I really feel for you and Rhonda. So sorry to hear about all you are going through. It's always hard to understand why bad things happen to good people and you are good people. Hope things turn around for you soon.
  9. I've had mine done for several years now and have never regretted it. I also have the Dyno ignition module so the rev limiter hasn't been a problem either.
  10. It is possible. I'm not optimistic but splitting the fairing and checking the round connectors is the first thing I would try. Just unplug them and plug them back in a few times. Also a good time to add a bit of dielectric grease and maybe secure them with some nylon ties.
  11. Yes, we ate at Louie Mueller's and also one in Elgin. Something Market or nother. It was very good also. I had been to Louie Mueller's before and it is great but I think the one in Elgin was actually even better. Just looked it up. The one in Elgin is Southside Market. Very good.
  12. Just got in from a LONG week in Taylor, TX, near Austin. Wish there had been time to visit some of our Texas members while there but this was a semi annual sales meeting and they have us busy from daylight until well after dark. I have tried to keep up with any requests here but if I have missed something, please let me know.
  13. No, I only update it about once a year because it is a real pain in the butt. You are correct though, it is probably time to update it again. I'll try to get it done over the next couple of weeks.
  14. Yea, but I'm leaving for a week long sales meeting here in a few minutes now and won't have time to do them.
  15. Just finished mine. It's not pretty.
  16. Just getting ready to start on mine. Now where did I put all those forms.
  17. OK....I love the Martin and it is a KEEPER. BUT....I realized that I sold too many guitars to justify buying it. I like taking a guitar with me on my weekly business travels and though I will sometimes take the Martin, I do worry about it getting too beat up. So I went in search of a cheap but decent "beater" to take along on my trips. Was thinking about a used Seagull S6 or maybe a used Epiphone Masterbilt but then I ran across one that I had never even considered. I saw this one hanging on a wall in a small music shop. Used but excellent condition. All solid wood. Solid spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. Beautiful maple binding around body, fretboard and headstock. Bone nut and saddle, dovetail neck joint, Grover tuners. A LOT of guitar for very little money. It is only about a year or so old. Either it came from the factory with a great setup or has had one done on it because the action is fantastic. OK...I'm done now. I REALLY am. Eileen told me so. http://www.venturerider.org/guitar/washburn2.JPG
  18. I did a search and did find resources for creating maps for other countries. You would have to resize them, combine them into one image, etc. and make then fit. http://www.travbuddy.com/travel-widgets http://www.math.lmu.de/~philip/homepage/countries/
  19. Sorry, but I haven't seen these maps for anywhere except the USA, Canada and Mexico.
  20. I hope you all have a wonderful day. My internet has been down most of the time since Thursday when I got home. Frontier finally got out yesterday and replaced the modem. Seems to be OK now but we'll see. Eileen decided that it would be a great day to take a bike ride. Unfortunately, she is talking about BICYCLES.... So....the bikes are loaded up and we are heading out for a local park with some nice trails. I'm pretty sure it is going to kill me.
  21. I'm not sure about the first gen but on the second gen, the jets are not the same on all the carbs. That being said, I don't know why anybody would have changed the jets if there were no other changes made. Air filters, exhaust, etc. If it is running good, I wouldn't worry about it but if it is running rich, I would go back to stock.
  22. If I only got 20 or 30 a day, I would know that something is broken. I usually get about 300 a day and sometimes more.
  23. None of that is necessary. It is all done.
  24. I don't have one now but have had several over the years. The last was a Grand Cherokee but I've had a couple of others also, including a CJ5 and a CJ7. I added a lot of extras to the CJ7. It came with a factory hard top but I added a cloth top along with an 8000 lb. warn winch and a good bit of chrome. Seldom used the hard or soft top in the summers. Mostly just the bikini top as shown here.
  25. LOL....very good...now which one are you?
