  1. Bob, I will just say this. It was a pleasure seeing you again and being able to spend some time with you. I appreciated your eloquent post and hope to see you at many MDs in the future. BUT...... I have to say this. Nobody will ever be able to say about you that "he would give you the shirt off his back"...I mean...really. I saw first hand that you would NOT give a poor needy lady the shirt off your back. The shame...the horror....
  2. Yea, she is a great dog. About as laid back as I have ever seen.
  3. Hadn't tried it in a while but using it to respond to this. Seems to be ok.
  4. I just bought an '07 Avalanche a few weeks ago. I haven't owned it long enough to really answer your question but I can just tell you that i really love the Avalanche. The only thing I can tell you is that there was a body style change that started in '07 and they look pretty much the same as now. It's a matter of preference as to which one you prefer.
  5. A success would be my bass, catfish and hybrid blue gill growing. Not doing so well, apparently the pond monsters and polluting the water with some type of methane gas or something.
  6. Very nice pictures. After all, it is all about the bikes...I mean the people...er...the bikes...uh.................. It's all good.
  7. Either way, I would bet that bad breath is a REAL problem.
  8. I still don't see what you guys are talking about. She seems so sweet and innocent.

Great pictures. Thanks for taking the time to post them.
  10. Deb, You should pick a username and create your own profile. It would be great to see you on here more.
  11. I had one years ago and it was a great bike. I never had to do anything to it at all. It was quick for a 750 though.
  12. Great pictures. Thanks.
  13. OK folks, maintenance day is behind me and it's time to start thinking about the International. I finally got my registration in during MD. Big Tom and Team have some great things planned for us all. Not many registered so far and it's time that we start really pushing this and getting a count on how many to expect. So...what is everybody waiting on. Let's get together for another GREAT time.
  14. My "Position" shortly after everybody left was LATERAL. It is always worth it though and we look forward to many more years of doing it.
  15. I can't really answer the question but I know that Metzler sold a tire that was one size larger that they claimed would work on the RSV. I know of a couple of riders who tried them though and they rubbed the swingarm. There is very little extra room for a wider tire. I think it is very questionable.
  16. I will apologize right up front for anybody that I miss so please add to this list if you know of one that I've forgotten about. I want to thank those who donated prizes for our raffle at Maintenance Day though. You are all very much appreciated. Eusa1 - Diamond cut engine fins Baggershield - Adjustable windshield Carbon_One - Trailer Hitch Bob Myers - Delrin engine mounts Aussie Annie - Australian souvenirs Dingy - Sunglasses That crazy Stardbog even gave away two of his Heineken's. NOT a small thing to HIM. I want to thank my wife for picking up some small items for the ladies gift bags. I also threw in a VentureRider coffee mug, a VentureRider cap and some speakers to help sweeten the pot a bit. I know it wasn't much but I hope you all enjoy them. I KNOW that I'm missing somebody. Please let me know.
  17. Now my one good eye hurts.
  18. I've tried several but prefer the EBC HH pads. Many here use them.
  19. Yea, he couldn't fool anybody. He had this faraway dreamy look in his eyes. He did get confused though. He said that the steam whistle must have been in a different location than on the first gen....he couldn't find it.
  20. Eileen want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you who came to Maintenance Day this year. We love doing this and our reward is seeing everybody having a nice time. That is all it is about. It was great spending time with old friends and familiar faces and always great meeting new people. As usual, you were all a class act. The numbers were down a bit this year but we still had a fantastic crowd. I think I made a mistake this year when I moved it forward by a week. A lot of folks had graduations and etc. to attend. We were not at all disappointed in the turnout but there were some of our regulars that we truly missed. I will try next year to move it to the middle of June again. A special thanks to all who jumped in and helped with the Maintenance activities. I simply could not do this without your help. I know that Skydoc truly missed having V7Goose around as well as Squidley and a couple others who usually jump in and help. Also, a special thanks to all the ladies who help Eileen get the food arranged and served and maintaining some sense of order to things. It was another successful weekend that Eileen and I both agree went by way too quick. We are already looking forward to next year. Well, at least we will be after a good nights sleep.
  21. Hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip. We truly missed you at MD though.
  22. Well...I will just say that Starfan, we love you and missed you and you are family to us so WHY...oh WHY do you punish us that way.
  23. Jack, Sorry you didn't find us and that I didn't see your post. This is the first time that I've had to really go through all the posts since MD started. It would have been great to see you again. I know that you USED to have my telephone number. Don
  24. I am so glad to see you back and posting again. To say that I appreciate and truly need your help around here is an understatement. When I first started this site, I tried to respond to every single post. As the site and membership grew, that became almost a full time job and had it not been for folks like you who stepped up to the plate to help out, a lot of folks would simply not get the answers that they are looking for. In addition to the time factor is the simple fact that I do not have the vast knowledge that is needed to answer all the questions that come up here. That's just a long way of saying that I truly need you around here and though I have told you privately, I just want to say publicly that I sincerely appreciate all that you do. Most of all, I appreciate and value your friendship.
