Yes, you can certainly make a donation but to be fair, it is too late to actually be entered in the raffle. I know that Dan and Rose would still appreciate any donations though.

Just so you all know how I do this. Tomorrow morning I will go to the following page and enter the number of tickets that we end up with. At this point, it will start with 1 and end with 397. I will let it generate 1 random integer and we will have our winner. I wish there was some way to do this live but I don't have a way at this time. Would be cool to have a wheel or something that we could spin while everybody watches This will have to do though. http://www.random.org/integers/

Dan and Rose. Actually, anytime we can come together and help each other, I think we are all winners. Remember, this list is NOT representative of all who helped. Now you are going to make me feel bad. I tormented over how to do this. It took me a good long while to go through all the emails and PMs and make up a list of participants and then assign them the right number of tickets. I then thought about whether I should just post the list or take the time to send each person a PM. That would have taken a long time so I did it the lazy way and just posted the list. The one thing I was concerned about though was making somebody feel bad because they didn't give as much as somebody else. I just DON'T want anybody to feel that way. I know that each and every person gave from the heart and that is ALL that matters. Whether your bought one ticket or 500 tickets doesn't matter. Some folks are more able to help than others. Some folks support many other causes and have to allocate what they have to those various causes. Some folks make more money than others. There are a multitude of reasons that some can or choose to give more than others. The fact is, if you gave a single dollar bill, your contribution is sincerely appreciated.

OK folks, the sale of raffle tickets for the trailer has concluded. I will get everything organized and draw randomly select a winner sometime later today or tomorrow morning at the very latest. I really don't disagree with you. It's been a few years for me but it to be too many people, too much noise and too high prices. Some really enjoy it but it's just not for me.

No. I approached them years ago about a discount and they told me that their margins are so slim that they just couldn't offer discounts. They gave a link back to our site is all.

Well all I can do is relate my own experiences. This may not be the case for everybody but it is cold hard fact for me. When I had my '88 Venture Royale, I first used YamaLube. I was living in Texas at the time and it was during a summer of many 100F PLUS days. I found that when riding on those very hot days that the shifting got very clunky and it was often hard to find neutral. This would happen after as few as 500 to 1000 miles on a fresh oil change. I tried a couple of different oils before finally just going with Mobil 1 and it made a tremendous difference. I experienced much smoother shifting. I found that this improvement lasted through the full life of the oil. When I bought my '99 RSV in April of 1999, the deal included the dealer performing the first service. That included oil change, carb sync, etc. I was getting ready to leave on an extended ride so it was done a bit early at around 800 miles. They used YamaLube for that oil change. It was again a hot Texas summer when I left on that trip and again at no more than 1,000 miles I started experiencing the clunky shifting and etc. I would not wait to get that oil out of my bike. At about 2,000 miles and still on that trip I changed it to Mobil 1 and have never looked back. I am sold on it. I absolutely believe that a good synthetic oil does not break down nearly as quickly as Dino oil. I think this is especially true in higher temperatures.

I can't even imagine what you are going through. I know that losing my sister a few years ago was the hardest thing I ever went through and I don't think it would even compare to losing a child. My heart is truly broken for you and I promise that you and your family will be in our prayers. -

I've said it many times but will repeat it again. I am a loyal fan of Mobil 1. I use it in everything I own. For my RSV, it is Mobil 1 Racing 4T and I'll not use anything else. Whether or not to use synthetic is a personal choice but very little research will uncover plenty of evidence as to the benefits. A good dino oil will do just fine and you will get many thousands of trouble free miles with regular oil and filter changes just as you will with Synthetic. For me though, the benefits of synthetic are worth the bit of extra cost. I won't get into all the technical reasons here because they can be found all over the Internet. Tomorrow I will pick up 9 quarts of 0W-40W for my wife's Chrysler Crossfire,, 5 quarts of 5W-20 for the 2011 Kia Sorrento and 4 quarts of Racing 4T for my RSV. All Mobil 1 thank you.

OK folks. It looks like this one is winding down so I think it's time to put an end date on it. I want to thank all of you for your generous donations to Dan and Rose. So, we are going to end this one at midnight on this coming Friday, the 16th. That gives anybody who still wishes to get in on the trailer raffle another 3 days to do so. I have a busy weekend ahead of me but I will get all the tickets assigned and draw a number sometime Saturday or Sunday.
