Just wondering about some of these profile pictures ???
Freebird replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Watering Hole
It is just not possible. Avatars can only be a very small picture. There is nothing to open...it is already at maximum size. -
Mileage varies a lot based on how fast you are going, how heavy the bike is loaded, etc. 36 MPG is pretty typical on these bikes.

I'm assuming they have already been checked once? If not, you are actually overdue. If they have already been done once...then it's really somewhat of a dilemma. I would talk to the dealer and find out how much you would save by going ahead and having it done now. I doubt that I would do it but the cost savings could possibly change my mind. In my opinion, since the valve covers will already be off then it shouldn't cost much extra at all to have them checked.

Sorry to disagree but I and many here have tried that mod and most are in agreement that it does nothing except create a bit of a rough idle. I tested it for close to a year and honestly found no improvement in performance or gas mileage.

OK so far. I finished the high dosage regiment last week and am on 1000 per day now. I do seem to have more energy and I think I am sleeping a little better.

This is news to me. I looked back at his posts and didn't see where he seemed to have gotten upset about anything. I also don't think he ever contacted me about anything upsetting him. Sometimes it happens though and I often never know why.

LOL.....don't worry about that. I'm certainly not jumping ship. It will be at LEAST forever before I can afford a new bike.
-
The foot pegs were available when I was looking. They really don't help much though because you are limited how far out you can go because of the front fenders. I really like the Spyder and was close to pulling the trigger on one with the matching trailer.

Well, I am in a hotel somewhere but.....I don't own any jamies. Now you can spend the rest of the night trying to get THAT image out of your mind.

OK Gary, I have come to the conclusion that you are REALLY confused. The page that you see the ebay listings on is NOT the Watering Hole. That is actually the home page for VentureRider.org. You are not even actually in the forum at that point. You are correct that the extended search functions are not available on the home page, only in the forum. If you on on the home page and click the link that says "forum"...THEN you are in the forum. The first area listed in the forum is the watering hole. When you are in the actual forum, the extended search should show from anywhere. ONLY in the forum though.
-
One question. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, on the left side, which style do you have selected?
-
I just checked it again with Firefox, IE and Google Chrome and simply cannot duplicate what you are seeing.
-
It's not that I didn't believe you, I just can't duplicate it on my end to find out what is causing it.

I rode one and thought that it handled great. My problem is that they are just not made for tall riders. The dealer even told me when I was looking that I probably would not be comfortable on it. One dealer told me last year that Can Am was aware off the issue with tall riders and would possibly be coming out with one that would better fit. Haven't heard any more about it though.
-
Well, that does make more sense. I can see where if enough of the gas leaked out before igniting that it could certainly get nasty.
-
I get it from anywhere I am. Watering Hole, Home Page, Forum Home Page, etc. I've tested it with Firefox and with IE.
-
I agree with you if we are just talking about material possessions....insurance can't replace my family though.
-
Gary, I just don't know what to tell you. I use Firefox exclusively and I NEVER have to clear my cookies. If you are talking about the "Google" search it is always there for me. I'm talking about the search button in the second menu bar at the top.

I can control which forums show up in the "Unanswered Threads". I just removed the classifieds from that one. What else should be removed?
-
Sounds a bit suspicious to me. I have a hard time believing that if my pocket caught fire, I would be unable to beat it out before I was badly burned.

The pic of the camera indicates that they have a profile picture. You have to view their profile to see it. That is a separate thing than the avatar. -
Don't let them get you down Eddie...but I know better than that. The new bike is beautiful and Harley has made some fantastic improvements. That being said, I never had a single problem with my last one and it was an '86 model.

Now I'm thinking that I want a crotch rocket.

The best way to remove chrome is to take it to a plater and have it chemically stripped. Chrome is pretty hard. If you blast it, there is a good chance that by the time you get all the chrome off, you are going to damage the metal. -
I've used the lemon law and it did produce the desired results but PATIENCE is key. I think that the companies count on people giving up and moving on and very few try to settle early because they know that most will be dropped. Expect it to take at least a year and maybe two. At least that was my experience.
