    I had actually forgotten that I had Forumrunner installed. When I first installed it, I had some problems and know that I disabled it for a few days. Apparently I re-enabled it and it is working OK now. I just looked and saw that there was an update available for it. Not sure what it addressed but I just updated it here.

    Maybe I'm not completely sure what you are looking for. Tapatalk is already installed here and you can download the Tapatalk app from the Itunes App Store. I would never consider raising the dues just to cover something that the majority would not use.

    Plastic can absolutely be chromed. I sold capital equipment for many years that did just that. There are a number of chrome shops around the country that offer chrome plating on plastic. It first involves a chemical copper coating called electroless copper and then is pretty much the same process as plating metal. I had several customers that used this process to chrome plate plastic grills for the various automotive companies. A lot of people think that they were all chromed using metal deposition but most, at least as late as 10 years ago, were actually chrome plated. The same general proocess is used for making circuit boards. All those conductive lines are plated onto a non-metallic board. It involves the same electroless copper process and then that is plated with tin or tin/lead and then copper or sometimes gold.

    Maybe I'm the one that doesn't understand. I haven't said anything about anybody trying to spam our classifieds. They try to register and then post or add links in their profile. Only supporting members can post ads in the classifieds so that hasn't been an issue.

    It's been that way for a long time. I figure if somebody joins here just to sell their bike in the classifieds, $12.00 is cheap enough.

    Well, there were 83 more spammers that tried joining last night. All intercepted this time. Very frustrating but all part of the game. I am really starting to hate gmail. About 95% of these spammers use free Gmail accounts. I have a number of different solutions in place to watch for them but it seems that sooner or later, they find ways around them. At this time I have 5 different solutions in place to watch for and automatically block them from registering. I had 4 in place until yesterday but too many were getting around all of those. I added a 5th one last night and it is working pretty well so far.

    Just got off the phone with Dano. He sounds good but has a ways to go. He is home but still going for physical therapy trying to get the full use of his arm back. Also said that his head still isn't 100% right and he is sleepy all the time. Otherwise, he is doing pretty fair though. That being said, I may be asking all of you who can to lend a financial hand. Those of you who know him know that Dan is a self-employed electrician. He has been off work a good while now and has no idea how long he will remain off. The doctors haven't even released him to drive, much less work. So, be prepared for the request and thank you in advance for understanding.

    Just a quick update. I did get a text message back from Rose. She said that everything is OK. Dan is napping right now and will probably call later. He's doing OK but a bit down in the dumps because he can't work yet.

    Just so you all know, we are getting HAMMERED with spammers right now. Over the past 3 days, there have been around 150 attempts by spammers to join our site and post their crap. Only 3 of them have succeeded in actually getting by the protections that I have in place and I caught and deleted 2 of those before they ever managed to make a post here. One did manage two posts before I caught and banned him. It's a never ending battle. I honestly don't understand what they hope to accomplish. First of all, even if they manage to register, it will be a very short lived experience for them. Second of all, do they not understand that NOBODY is willing to do business with a spammer? Even if they have a good price on a decent product, I would never give them a dime of my money.

    Anybody heard from Dano lately? I tried his cellular phone yesterday and left him a message but have not heard from him in a while. I hope that everything is OK. We miss you Dano.

    I got a call from Ponch today. Unfortunately, I missed the call. Tried calling him back but got his voice mail. I tell you though, it was wonderful hearing his voice again. He mentioned that he had forgotten his password for the site so I reset it for him and left him a message as to what it is. Also sent him an email with the information so I sure hope that we see him on here soon. It's been way too long and he has been missed.

    No problem. I only asked because I don't THINK I've ever had a car with a low coolant light. Temp lights yes, but not low coolant. Maybe I have and just didn't know it. I know that my cars have a separate light for windshield wiper and temp and maybe they do have one for the coolant but I've never paid attention. I know that my van and my SUV both have separate low fluid lights for the front and rear washer fluid.

    I think it is a great idea. I would be all over them except that my Corbin is a one piece seat.

    hmmm.......are you sure it's a low coolant light and not the windshield washer fluid that is low?

    Jerry, I would like very much to help you but I have no idea what is going on. I can login as you and it works just fine. I logged in under your account and sent myself a PM. If anybody else is having that problem, they have not reported it. If you haven't already done so, I guess I would recommend that you clear your browser's cache, cookies, etc. Also, which browser are you using?

    The google search is a custom feature that I added. The rest is the regular search that is programmed into VBulletin. Now that you know about it, just USE it.

    I'm sorry folks but I just don't know how to better get the word out. I've posted it many times that the search works great if you click on "search" then use the google option and select http://www.venturerider.org It works very well and you don't have to leave here and actually go to Google.

    Bob Seger is one of my favorites. I would have liked to have seen him when he was in the Cleveland area but tickets sold out and then were crazy high.
