  1. I thought about going to Straight Talk. $45/month for unlimited talk/text AND web!! Straight Talk works on all ATT, Verizon and Spint networks, so one is almost always going to have a signal.
  2. Found a blog on it. It "runs" on compressed air so it's not really and engine, but instead a motor. http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/tech-gadget/world-s-smallest-v12-engine-actually-runs
  3. 2 strokes turn 1 to 1. 4 strokes turn 2 to 1.
  4. Lots of hacks run car tires on the front wheel. Bike doesn't lean, tire doesn't need to be rounded.
  5. AGM - Absorbed Glass Mat. You just pour the acid in and it is absorbed into the fiberglass mat inside of the casing. I would assume then that you install the cap and it'll be sealed.
  6. You should try owning a Taurus 24/7 and trying to explain to people that the trigger is supposed to feel that way. It's a double action or single action trigger depending on how the firing pin is set.
  7. Your wifi is password protected, right? No one is "borrowing" your internet connection? I accidently killed the wifi card in my laptop, but instead of replacing it with another card, I replaced it with a USB wifi stick. It'll bump up the connection between your computer and router ,since your router also works on the "N" band, to 150Mbps and be in the $20 range on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=tp-link+tl-wn722n&_sacat=0&_sop=1&_odkw=tp-link&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
  8. The P series and the SR series are completely different animals. Lots of folks like the like compact SR9. I have shot the full size and it was a great shooter.
  9. I've used the double barrel plastic epoxy to seal small external oil leaks before. It's fairly easy to remove. Just spray the area down with quick drying brake cleaner and smear it on as soon as it's dry.
  10. K40 antennas are NOT stock on the Venture. Repeat, are NOT STOCK.
  11. Peel the sticker off the box and you'll find that you're actually getting the Deka battery. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=58706&highlight=deka
  12. Did you have a hole machined in the case for the speedometer sensor?
  13. Those Priuses are about as friendly to the environment as a coal fired steam engine.
  14. What brand and bulb number did you use for a replacement? Today's bulbs don't seem to last as long as the older ones. When I worked in the semi shop, it was always the newer style trucks that use the individual bulbs that kept burning out while the older sealed beams just kept burning.

  16. I don't burn coal, but Im burning wood with an old type stove. I'd like to get one with the fans and auto temp control. Those are supposed to be great.
  17. I have a HPI Savage truck with an Axial 28 engine. I just finished off a 2 year old gallon of 20% O'donnell Racing Fuel with no problems. I'm off to the hobby shop for another gallon. $27.99 now.
  18. What lifters? The cams ride on top of the valves.
  19. I could friend you on FaceBook and we could talk about it there!!
  20. Another cheap muffler alternative is a set of mufflers off a touring Harley. (Road King, Ulta, Electra, Road Glide) Fab up a set of mounting brackets and you'll have a set of factory quiet mufflers with a deeper tone than the OEM mufflers.
  21. Me too. That's one reason why Im dreading a fuel injected bike. No warning when it's low on fuel.
  22. That's friction modified oil. They run that in posi-trac rearends and axles with internal wet brakes. It keeps the fiber discs from ripping apart. I have to put a similar additive in tractor axles when I rebuild them. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/apparel/apscitemdetail/3/122/all/1/347/detail.aspx It won't hurt to run it in the final of the RSV. I've been running GL5 85w140 SuperTech oil. I change it out either every oil change or every other depending on how I feel that day.
  23. My beard is older than I am. Im not sure I could survive without it.
  24. It's a choice and it should always be up the rider to decide on the gear. I wear my open face helmet and Joe Rocket jacket almost every time Im on the bike. I don't preach gear to online folk, but I do try to impress it onto new riders that I meet in person. The first 10 years I rode, I rode with no gear at all and I even rode in shorts and sandals. Then 1 day a friend/co-worker had a low speed get off (less than 30mph) and bounced his head off the road. They scooped out pieces of his brain that had died and stapled his skull back together with a drain hose hanging out and he was in a coma for 6 weeks. His girlfriend and newborn baby waited to see if he was ever going to wake up. He woke up and is more or less fairly normal but sometimes has blinding headaches. Since then, I've at least worn a helmet. I hate to see anyone go down, and I hate to hear of those who have injuries that may of been prevented if gear had been worn.
