  4. well that is great news Bob, and just in time. boy do you cut it close. i thought i was going to have to call a toe truck to get you down there. if standing bothers you, then you and Becky will enjoy sitting down and having Goldie take you for a nice tour down south. see you Friday night for out next ad-venture. cheers, Scott:hurts:
  5. you have got to be one proud pop. we hope to see you while we are down at ashville. cheers, Scott
  6. Hi Lowell if you were talking to my wife Sherry at the international meet, she is from "Newfoundland. we will be at Ashville so you can ask her lots of questions of what to see and where to go. the highways are all paved, two lanes each way and in great shape. the towns the roads are paved also and most are in good shape. the people are very freindly and make you feel welcome. a favorite ride i like to do is around an area called Port aux Port. there are campgrounds all around the island. the ferry runs year round and it takes 6 hours for the short run to the south west and 18 hours for the long run to the south east corner of the island. i would definetely look into making ferry reservations. 10. i am glad to hear that you are not feeling yourself, please leave that to Dr Shari.
  11. if your pads are worn down, then the 4 brake pistons will be out further, thus more brake fluid will be needed to make up the difference. the resevoir level would be lower and the light will come on. i have experienced this on my 86 already. Scott
  12. when my light came on, yes it is for the rear linked brakes and your resevoir is low. check your pads and replace if needed. if you top up the fluid resevoir the light will go out if your pads still have some life left in them. cheers, Scott
  13. i will be doing Tail of the Dragon soon, so i might need more Plastex.
  14. i will give Ed a call. i was talking to him as i have seen the plastex van in my neighbourhood often. his parents live around the corner from me. i just finished molding a couple of pins for my sidecovers with my Plastex kit, one was missing off each cover. wow that was easy and they came out perfect. cheers, Scott
  15. i cant wait to see it with your top down mini.
  16. my Metz was brand new from my local dealer, always checked tire pressure weekly. i put this new tire on, as i was going on a trip to the east coast, and mine let go with only 3,000 kilometers(2,000 miles). mine was made in Brazil stamped on the sidewall and less than 6 months old. the rubber sepatated from the carcass while doing 110 kph(65 mph). i am so fortunate to have not crashed with my wife and i on the bike. i you value your life, take those tires off right away. then this year while riding down to Dons maintenace day, my buddies Metzeler rear tire let go. exact same thing happened to him, the rubber ballooned on his rear tire, rubber separated from the carcass. his tire was about 10 months old. cheers, Scott
  17. thank you for the heads up. i use paypal a fair bit cheers, Scott

  22. hi Randy i am running the avon venom on the front and a dunlop elite 3 on the rear. rides straight as an arrow, no wobble, very quiet ride, and feels good while playing on twisty roads. so far this is the best combination of tires i have had on my 86. cheers, Scott
  23. our prayers go out to your bride, it is a miserable thing to have, but medical technology is advancing and hopefully the treaments do their thing. god bless Scott and Sherry
  24. what a beautiful sunny day we had. spent part of the afternoon swimming at a beach in a town called Mexico and just pulled into Watertown New York and down came the rain as we were checking in. i guess tomorrow we will have to head for home, or maybe the next day, that Dunlop elite 3 rides so nice. cheers, Scott
