1. According to the Welcome page it says "Everybody here is on equal standing" ...
2. OK, Dan.....I vote that you come out of your corner now. Surely you've been there long enough to pay your debt. It's just too boring around here with you standing in the corner. I think of the good old days of following along as you built your garage. What fun!!! Come out, come out, wherever you are!!
3. Just in case people forget, there are Amazing soldiers standing at the Tomb through this craziness. This a picture from this morning.
4. A picture I thought some of you may like.
5. at 5:00 Dogs were going wild...so I went to investigate. a bear came and tried to get into our garbage box. The first bear was standing on top of the garbage box right outside my window! I could have reached out and touched it! But he couldn't figure out how to get into the box. I tried to get some pictures thru the window but all I got was blurry screen. 6:00 another one came by...by now I was awake enough to figure out how to use the camera. This must just be a cub because .this one is MUCH smaller than the first. The big one just sort of looked at me and couldn't care less. The pics of the smaller one are just below the deck on the ground....no more than 10 feet away from where I was standing taking the pictures.

7. Saw a commercial tonight on TV about Canadian Vets. In it there is a couple standing by a Grey (probably 2008 or 9) RSV. Anyone from here?
8. Semper Fi U.S.M.C. . I received this article from a brother Marine, It says all of what I believe and carry with me everyday of my life. All I know is that my transformation process to this state of "arrogance" started in September 1972 when I arrived at MCRD San Diego, Ca and by Jan 73 all traces of the "unorganized grab-ass tic" slothful being that disembarked from the bus had vanished from the face of the earth and a proud indestructible new being with a vibrant 197 year-old Heart, took form. That Heart still beats proudly some 39 years later as I recall the names, faces, places and events that ensued while proudly wearing Marine Green and knowing that I was a link in an unbreakable chain that was forged on 10 November 1775 but would be without termination. The blood of every Marine that ever was and ever will be, flows through my veins and mine in theirs. I have tried to "lovingly" explain it to non-Marines but as the axiom says, "To a Marine no explanation is necessary to one who is not, no explanation is possible!" Semper Fidelis - God, Country & Corps http://mail.aol.com/33953-111/aol-6/en-us/mail/get-attachment.aspx?uid=28586788&folder=Inbox&partId=4 Marine Arrogance The below was taken from the latest edition of Sgt. Grit . An excellent response: I wrote this in response to an Army guy on Facebook who posted a comment on our Marine Corps site that he was sick and tired of Marine "arrogance". As it would to any Marine, it pissed me off some and I posted this. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to repost it wherever you would like. Thank you and Semper Fi! Marc Ciacchi. Someone asked me what makes Marines special. I thought about that for awhile. I think that what makes Marines special, if only in our own minds, is that elusive Quality of Espirit D'Corps. It's the fact that we, as individual Marines, don't feel that we are individual Marines. When we wear our uniform, when we hear our Hymn, when we go into battle, we are going with every other Marine who ever wore the uniform. Standing behind us are the Marines who fought during the birth Of our nation. We're standing with the Marines who fought in WWI and gave birth To the legend of the "Teufel Hun den", or "Devil Dogs". We are standing with the Marines who took Iwo and Tarawa and countless other blood soaked islands throughout the Pacific. We are standing with the "Frozen Chosin" and our Beloved Chesty Puller. We are standing with the Marines who battled at Hue City And Khe Sanh and the muddy rice paddies of South East Asia . We are standing With the Marines who fought in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom and now, are fighting in Afghanistan . Like real brothers, their blood courses through our veins, and when we go into battle, we would rather lay down our lives than be a disappointment to them. We carry on our backs, their legacy, their deaths and their honor. We Carry that for the rest of our lives. The Marine Corps uniform doesn't come off when our active duty is over. We wear it daily in our attitude, and our love of Corps and country. We wear it on our tattoos and our bumper stickers. We wear it in our hearts. It's why, no matter where we are in the world, on November 10th, every Marine celebrates the Marine Corps birthday. It's why we'll never be an army of 1. It's why we never stop being Marines. It's why, for most of us, being a Marine Isn't something we were. It's something we are. It's the most important part of Who and what we are. Some say we're arrogant. We say we're proud. We have a right to be proud. We are United States Marines. The most feared and ferocious Group of warriors to walk the face of this earth. When Americas ' enemies formulate their battle plans, they plan on going around Marine units, because they know D-mn well that they can't go through them. We are what the other branches wish they were. We are the modern day Spartans. This isn't bragging. It's written In the battle history of our country. When there's a parade and the Marines march by, everyone pays a little more attention. Some say "arrogance". We call it "pride"
9. I was on a PGR mission in Columbia, Ky. yesterday Sat. (5/28/11). Spotted 2 RSV's riding together out of town on hwy. North 55 about 11:20 local time. About 1 hr later they rode back through town past the funeral home we were standing post at. Was it you, were you just passing through or are you local and I haven't met you yet? C.R.
10. Two Tennessee mountain men are out hunting, and as they are walking along they come upon a huge hole in the ground. They approach it and are amazed by the size of it. The first hunter says, "Wow, that's some hole; I can't even see the bottom. I wonder how deep it is." The second hunter says," I don't know, let's throw something down and listen and see how long it takes to hit bottom." The first hunter says, "There's this old automobile transmission here, give me a hand and we'll throw it in and see". So they pick it up and carry it over, and count one, and two and three, and throw it in the hole. They are standing there listening and looking over the edge and they hear a rustling in the brush behind them. As they turn around they see a goat come crashing through the brush, run up to the hole and with no hesitation, jump in head first. While they are standing there looking at each other, looking in the hole and trying to figure out what that was all about, an old farmer walks up. "Say there," says the farmer, "you fellers didn't happen to see my goat around here anywhere, did you?" The first hunter says, " Funny you should ask, but we were just standing here a minute ago and a goat came running out of the bushes doin' about a hunert miles an hour and jumped headfirst into this hole here!" The old farmer said, "That's impossible. I had him chained to a transmission!"
11. We spent the day riding through the Black Hills area. We started out by riding through Custer State park. We had a great time there and saw huge buffalo herds. The were blocking the road at one point and we had to weave in and out of them standing on the roadway. A rather daunting task with a big bull standing 5 feet from you as you went by. We also encountered the wild (if you call them that) burros and had a great time feeding them apples. My wife remembered them from the last time through the park and this time she was prepared. She's been collecting apples off of the breakfast bars for the last few days. In addition we saw a few antelope. From there we went back by Mt. Rushmore and then rode up to Sturgis to get a t-shirt and to say we'd been there and then returned to Hill City via Spearfish Canyon. That's a nice ride. We drop my wife at the Rapid City airport on our way out of the area in the morning and then we break for home. Should be there by Sunday. Photos are posted at: www.traynorphoto.com/day12 SPOT Track: http://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=6473 It's been a great 2 weeks. Dennis
12. Just wondering how you were doing; what week did you head out to make it to MD. was just wondering if you are bringing the Harley if you left in time to keep putting all the parts back on: you know a day of riding and then two days to get it running again. also knowing HD riders only ride from Bar to Bar or Party store to party store and have to take a break so people can see them standing out side by there bikes. WOW! its going to take you longer than i first thought to get there; i best get out the calculator and refigure it for ya:think: see ya there Dray:smile5:
13. I meant to ask you, how is the leg standing up to riding?
14. I received a flyer in the mail yesterday, and when I got around to reading it this AM I found a new item they're stocking... Wireless Inspection Camera with 2.4" Color LCD Monitor http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/gifs/clear.gif I've been looking for one of these things for a while now, but the price has always kept me from buying one. This one's on sale for $99 bucks, and I'm going to make a trip to HF later this morning.. I can see it being one of the most helpfull pieces of equipment for checking out problems on a MC that I could own. There are a bunch of nooks and crannys on a scoot to that are just plain hard to get to without removing something or standing on my head, and this thing is going to make life so much easier. I figure if I didn't diagnose things myself... never happen... but if it did, I'd be paying a wrench around $75 bucks an hour to chase down a problem ... For the price it'll pay for itself after using it a couple of times..
15. Okay maybe it's just me being stupid, but how am I suppossed to check the engine oil when I'm alone? Does everyone just balance their bike with one hand and bend over, almost standing on their head to see that little sight glass that doesn't show any oil until the bike is standing straight up and down! Just my personal rant:headache: Surely there is a better way to check my oil.
16. jokes and humor section, but thought you might enjoy this as much as I did!! Why Men Can Pee Standing Up God was just about done creating humans, but he had two parts left over. He couldn't decide how to split them between Adam and Eve so He thought He might just as well ask them. He told them one of the things He had left was a thing that would allow the owner to pee while standing up. "It's a very handy thing." God told them, " and I was wondering if either one of you had a preference for it." Well, Adam jumped up and down and begged, "Oh, please give that to me! I'd love to be able to do that! It seems like just the sort of thing a man should have. Please! Pleeease!! Give it to me!" On and on he went like an excited little boy. Eve just smiled and told God that if Adam really wanted it so badly, he could have it. So God gave Adam the thing that allowed him to pee standing up. Adam was so excited he just started whizzing all over the place-first on the side of a rock, then he wrote his name in the sand, and then he tried to see if he could hit a stump ten fee away-laughing with delight all the while. God and Eve watched him with amusement and then God sait to Eve, "Well, I guess you're kind of stuck with the last thing I have left." "What's it called?" asked Eve. "Brains." said God!
17. Position: Surveyor Salary: $200 per hour (tax-free) Qualification: Must be fast on your feet Isn't it comforting to know that when you are about to become a bear's breakfast your buddy is standing there taking photos?
18. ...and it felt REALLY good!! Goldie is running great with the new plugs and wires, and we now have XM radio as well! My foot is still a little sore but nothing intolerable. The incision is almost completely healed over, just a little bit more to go. I have a hard time tolerating standing for any length of time but riding has no discomfort at all!! See you at Asheville!
19. and there was a smaller one with him.. Better here than on the Highway I always say...
