    I didn't bother with the OEM end weights, went to the Kryaken grips and bought the Baren end weights for the grips for my Flander bars. Next project is to put the heated coils into the grip area of the bars.

    Both the Mechanic and I have the Flex version along with the pants. We have been ridin when the temps were around 20F and we were both happy with the results. I still bought her a heated liner because women just seem to be colder During the summer you can remove the out shell and inner liner, that works extremely well too.

    Had the same issue with Mechanic's cell phone and zumo. Come to find out, phone was using to old of software, we upgraded, no issues with drops anymore.

    Just to let you know, my 08 has no whine and the Mechanic says there is no whine neither, except from me when I do not get out an ride enough. Really, I do not have this high pitch whine. My 05 bike had some whine but not like some I have heard. Have you rode the one you are going to buy to see if it has the whine?

    I am looking at getting another helmet since my full face is getting to be 5 years old and the lining wore out. I prefer the full face all the time, but summer heat does get intense with stop and go traffic. So I clicked on a link on our website about this helmet. A little bit pricey but was wondering if any of you have seen or wore the helmet? Also, if I do get this, I am looking for a head set that that has slim boom mic, not flush mounted.     Even with the OEM windshield, I have the gas cap reflecting, so I got the leather cover for the gas cap and no more reflection. Do a search for Clearview on the site, there was another thread about things reflecting on the Clearview shield.

    I did not know Yamaha was giving out an MP3 player when buying an 08, I got robbed on this one. I do know you can plug an MP3 player into the Cassette deck, has a plug hole for an MP3.

    I run Khromewerks on my 08, had them on the 05 I have noticed if lugging the engine in any gear will cause a small backfire on deceleration, but if the RPMs are kept higher in a lower gear, usually no backfire on deceleration. Also, if backfiring is starting to get worse, tells me to carb sync, and it usually needs the sync done.

    My 05 had some whine but learned to live with it. My 08, has no whine whatsoever and I have almost 20,000 miles on it now.

    Oh yeah, we do play a little ole school tomorrow called Michigan State, now don't be to rough on our Freshmen. You do know they are just out of high school, still wet behind the ears.
