  1. HJC has thier 3/4 helmet with the sun screen flipper gizmo built in like they have on the modular and full fact. I saw it at a dealer for $139 but but my head was larger than "L" today.
  2. Keep the weather nice, I am riding from Phoenix to Seattle at the end of April.
  3. I noticed the same thing except I only have to feed a 12 pound miniature dachshund and a cat.
  4. Why not just clear coat over the pinstripe also? I have done that several times, gives a custom look.
  5. I was 15 days into a motorcycle camping trip on a Suzuki GSX1100F Katana with 3 Givi bags, plus other stuff such as cooler, tent, stove, you get the idea. I was tired that day and stopped to fuel up and did not get the kickstand all the way down before lowering the bike and WHAM it fell over part way trapping me between the bike and gas pump. I was in a postion with no leaverage and finally someone helped me get it off me.
  6. Been ok so far but this bike is very scarry at low low speeds or turning tight, especially with passenger. I was riding a Valkyrie before and it was lower but also had all the engine weight very low (and no trunk or fairing) so I never felt the tipiness on that one even though it was within a hundred or so pounds of the Venture.
  7. I had about a 200 mile ride today myself. Started out in the mid-60s and did not get much warmer because of going higher in altitude. Rode 5 other bikes, a BMW, Indian, Victory, Honda V45, and two Harleys. Those that appreciate 2 wheels usually get along but the status and image thing of most Harley guys (and now it appears some Goldwing guys) amuses me.
  8. Painting is still cheaper than dealer but you might get lucky and find the right color.
  9. I would help were I could. ps. saw a game today myself gary
  10. I had my tank repainted and left mine off also (Midnight). Looks smoother and much easier to clean. Also makes some people wonder what kind of bike it really might be.
  11. My father in-law is 85, has Alzhiemer's so bad he can't figure out the remote TV control and sometimes forgets where his bathroom is in a house he has lived in for 10 years. The State of Arizona just renewed his license for 6 more years with only an eye test.
  12. That is a very good price.
  13. I drove the keys years ago and was heading out to do some early morning fishing when we hit a cloud of bugs so thick we could not see through the windshield. Talk about bugs in your teeth if you were on a bike!
