Mechanic and I made it home around 2 pm today. Mechanic has around a ton of pics, but I will not get loaded until tomorrow evening. Was great M&E, first time we have been to Gettysburg. Sledgehammer and us pulled into Gettysburg Friday evening and rode through the battlefields Saturday morning prior to the Meet, awesome sites. Again, thanks for pulling this one together.:cool10:

Around 14,000 to 15,000 change the rear, around 28,000 to 30,000 change the front.

Ok Eck, now most of us cannot afford GoldWings like some I know. Now with this plan you just limited Mechanic and I to one M&E per year. :rasberry:

Heck I want to know who the Insurance company was that gave you a discount for belonging to Ventureriders

They are in the preferred vendor list and there is a discount code listed. Freebird keeps the code updated. -

I have run both the Avons and E3, Really like both of them. If buying the E3, the rear is MV85B15 (same as 150-90-15) I am now buying mine from Motorcycle Super Store as they have free shipping and a 10% discount for our group. 95% of my riding is 2 up, and have gotten around 14000 on the rear Avon, currently have about 14,000 on the E3 and still looking good for that rear tire. -
Does anybody have a carbtune close to Augusta, GA
Sleeperhawk replied to PastorPaul's topic in Watering Hole
I have one, but I will be out this Thursday through Sunday for the PA meet. If you can, ride it over to my place Wednesday evening, only takes a few minutes to due. -
Sleeperhawk traded in the Venture...
Sleeperhawk replied to Sleeperhawks Mechanic's topic in Watering Hole
I thought you were in Georgia Saturday? I did go looking at bikes while the women do whatever women do when the guys are not around. At the Decatur Honda dealer they wanted 13500 for a 95 GW with a trailor, with 104000 miles. Laughed and walked away. The guy up in Pennsylvania definitely with the 02 GW and trailer for 12500 with 52000 is looking pretty good. When I come out in May I will take you up on the ride with the GW, get well first. -

Here are the pics Mechanic took of the meet and eat with Eck and the Georgia gang on Saturday 04/04 http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20Eck%2020090404/

On the rear Avon, I have always gotten between 13,000 and 15,000. The front I replaced each time when putting on the second rear tire. I have been told by several, that they were getting close to 20,000 on the E3 rear tire, so I decided to try. If this is the case, I will be sticking with the E3

Avon Junkie's First Impressions of Dunlop E3
Sleeperhawk replied to V7Goose's topic in Watering Hole
I have had Avons on my 05 and am now trying the E3 on my 08. Two up 95% of the time and loaded, cannot really tell any difference between the two. What I am waiting to see is the actual mileage I will get on the E3, currently at 12,000 and tread still looking very good on the rear tire. -
At least you two are not doing 69 :rotf:

I don't know about that, anyone that walks away from that wreck with only minor scratches and bruises, did something right.
-
Now when you actually do buy, the joke will be on you for staying with the 1st gen for so long. :rotf:
-
I just knew you were going with a GW, and not a HD. That looks like a great deal. Just glad you found one so soon.

Who makes the best quality slip-ons?
Sleeperhawk replied to DOHCGT's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I had no issues with fitment, and no special brackets like you have to make for the HD pipes. http://www.baronscustom.com/catalog/display/973/index.html -
You all have to remember, he is an OLD GEEZER, which means, doing 25 mph in the left hand lane. :rotf:

Several of us have the KrhomeWerks. Not nearly as loud as the Baron's and different sound than the Bubs. -
I got mine from Buckeye Performance, because he had the Black vs Clear/White versions. The Black goes much better with my gray.
