  1. You really did get tossed by the that dust devil because I70 goes through Kansas, not New Mexico.
  2. What's this, I do not wear and tear on the bike :confused24: I thought 1st gens were meant to be ridden, not hauled
  3. Hey, great pics, finally some of the missing Mechanic
  4. Also, a link that I put up last year, contains part numbers and where I got the parts. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27465
  5. Yeppers, already replaced mine around the 20000 mile mark. The hardest thing to do is cleaning the service where the old gasket likes to stick.
  6. Yeppers, just put on another E3 rear after putting 16000 on the last one. Either E3 or Avons for me.
  7. Ok, here is the thread for the Georgia M&E. Sorry, but we do not have a pic of the "Bee in the Bonnett" with Dragonrider. Mechanic does not take pics of other people's misery. :rotf: just mine. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20GA%20ME%2020090509/
  8. In the process of being uploaded now, sheeeez, impatient aren't we :rotf:
  9. Yeppers, can not figure out why Yamaha puts on nice chrome forks and then have brushed aluminum for the front wheel cover especially on the S model.
  10. Nope, not the Lower Chrome Wind deflectors, but you are in the close proximity.
  11. Mechanic and I made it home around 11:00pm, we stopped a couple of times plus had dinner with Wanderer and Pat. We put around 575 miles on the bikes. We all had a great time, even when Dragonrider was dancing on his bike trying to get the bee out of helmet :rotf: Dang Eck, did you stop a least to strech the legs
  12. Naw, I do not want the gaudier pieces of chrome like battery covers or air filter covers, but it is a set of chrome Yamaha does not offer, but will have customized.
  13. There is only 1 piece (actually set) of chrome left to put on the bike. Eck this is what a clean RSV looks like :rasberry: doesn't have mud all over it like yours does. :rotf:
  14. I would like to try out the Raider
  15. Basically, no difference except for the radio antenna (99 was solid mount) mount and colors. Oh, love the RSV
  16. What highway you coming down, sheezzz, going past Columbia and not even stopping to say Hello I wouldn't stop at Columbia neither.
  17. Saw the OCC show where they were demoing them at a pump, no matter what they did, the gas did not overflow onto the tank, until Mikey did something stupid as usual and gas went everywhere. I just don't want to carry something in a bag that will smell like gas all the time, produce of that myself.
  18. With all the sets of Avons I have had, over 60,000 on the 05, I had no cracks at all, but then again, I was putting on a set and a half each year (2 rear to 1 front) .
  19. Walk that street, do not even attempt to take your bike on that street, rougher than railroad tracks and stone/cobblestone with big potholes. But a nice stroll.
  20. The Venoms do not have a paint mark, unless they have changed them in the last year. Both my dealer and I have wondered why they did not mark. I am trying the E3 and just mounted my second E3, first one had about 16000 miles. But I am still thinking I will go back to Avons, they just seem to be softer and grip better in the corners.
  21. Also, here is the thread in the 2nd gen tech section for oil filters http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1849
  22. He does, that is what I have on my bike, do not like the clear stainless with the color of our bike.
  23. You will not be that far from the Southern end of the BlueRidge Parkway, which is around Cherokee, NC.
