  1. Bought a new Tourmaster Rincon jacket last April. But since then its been in the 90's and 100's practically all summer here in Texas, so I never got a chance to try it out. But today, it was in the mid 40's to mid 50's and I got a chance to give the jacket a test drive. WOW! I have to say, even a grizzled old leather wearing biker like me can learn new tricks! That thing is WARM! I got a good deal on it from Motorcycle Superstore back in April, only $99. I have just about worn out my trusty 20 year old leather jacket, so it was about time to try something new. If your looking for a new basic-looking textile winter jacket, check the Rincon out. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/39/16896/ITEM/Tour-Master-Rincon-Jacket.aspx
  2. Okay Just bought a couple synegy heated vest and was wondering are the different makers interchangeable.. So would say Gerbing Glove liners connect to the tourmaster vest? or do each have thier own unique connectors? thanks for the input!!!
  3. Just got back from a 3000 mile trip from KC to Florida. Encountered weather from 33 degrees, rain and also 85 degrees. The Tourmaster heated jacket is the single best purchase I have made for my bike. I could ride at 33 degrees for long periods of time and be fine. It extends the riding season by 2 months for me. My only limit is the road conditions (Don't bike under 32). I think the jacket with the collar is best. The heat on the inside of my arms really helps to keep me warm. I would not have thought that. The jacket also allows the use of Tourmaster gloves which is likely my next purchase. I have heated grips, but I am not very impressed. I use light gloves, but the wind over my hands just zaps my heat in my hands. I have added Hippo hands which work great to keep wind off my hands and also the rain. The only thing I don't like is that they are awkward to use and get the hands in and out while riding.(Scratching my face, moving my sheild etc). The jacket is awesome. In my opinion a must have. BTW- I did run down my battery by having driving lights on accidently with my vest. These 2 in combination appear to be too much for the electrical system. I was in a rain storm when the bike stopped running. Wasn't a couple minutes before a fellow biker came to my aid with his truck and gave me a jump. Was really great.
  4. Thinking about a new Jacket. Was just eyballing " on line " the TourMaster, Transition Series 2 Jacket. Anybody out there useing one of these ?? Any comments as to quality etc. etc. most appreciated. Thanks
  5. Has anyone had any experience with the Tourmaster Elite II 2 piece rainsuit. My Frog Toggs are worn out and I want to try something different. I have read some good reviews and I like the way they look. Any thoughts? http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/catalog/Elite-Series-II-2-Piece-Rainsuit-Jacket-p-84_8.html
  6. Today I got the tourmaster heated vests I ordered long ago. I hooked them both up interested in the draw on my electrics. I could not find any info on the amp draw but figured them to be the same as the competition. Well they are not. Each vest with collar draws 4.5 amps which was a lot more. Anyway I got them hooked up and they are toasty warm. I cranked both on high and kicked on the heated grips with the bike running in the garage (rained today) and even at idle the kuryakyn volt meter stayed in the green. I wont know for sure till i can run it all on high for a extended time but so far it looks good. Btw, i dont run driving lights. Looks like I'll be staying toasty!
