  2. Chris, glad youa re doing ok. If we can help please let us know. Spotsy
  3. Thanks for the response. Yea, I replaced the valve with no luck. I did have the balance kit on there. I took it off to determine which one was leaking and it was the right side. I guess when I tear into it I'll see what else I can find. I will see if the valve is like the rear, it should be however as Irecall it was just like any other valve. I thought it was worth asking. Thanks. Spotsy
  4. I plan on doing the front steering bearing. About 2 years ago the right front fork would not hold the 7 psi air pressure any longer. It would leak out within a day as I recall. I have not had any air in them since then. I checked the value, then replace itand sprayed soap all around and I could not detect any air leak. There's no oil around the fork seals however I'm not sure exactly how it is routed in the fork. Who's had their forks apart and where else could the air be leaking? I figured it would be worth asking before I got involved. Thanks. Spotsy
  5. Okay Duke, you said Motel 6 was the place to be. Now I hear Oberlin Inn is the place to be. What's up with all of this? Spotsy BTW, what day and time are we leaving for Maintenance Day?
  6. I called the motel (Super 8 or Motel 6, whatever it was) made the reservation and she said she would get something out in the mail to everyone. Has anyone received anything yet? Heck, I'll have to call Duke to get the number again. Which motel was it Duke? Spotsy
  7. She is adorable Heather. And here's our new addition, Sarah. She is 14 weeks now. Spotsy
  8. Thanks Bigfoot.
  9. Thanks. We'll have to check it out. Spotsy
  10. Don, check your Paypal. Spotsy
  11. Duke, you should have said something. I would have come by after work since I'm down that way. Glad you got if fixed Nathan. What was the problem? Heck, I didn't know they ever had a problem with the pretty blue one's. :-) Spotsy
  12. If you install the Yamaha spot lights you can make a bracket or someone was selling them around here somewhere. Maybne someone can point you in the right direction. It will allow you to split the fairing in the future without having to remove the spot lights. Well worth the effort. Spotsy
  13. I had the same thing the first time. I took a pair of small water pump pliers and grab the washer and when it turned it loosened the bolt. Then the allen wrench spun them right off. There was no blue locitite on mine, just too dang tight. Maybe you can get them off that way and buy new bolts. It did mark up the washers that I had to loosen. Hope it helps. Spotsy
  14. Congrats. Now, get to work. LOL Spotsy
  15. If that is not the problem. One other thing, if you have been using a silicone base around there that will cause the paint to do funny things. Armorall is a good example of something that will make paint not want to stick. It acts similar to what they call fish eye. Hope it helps. Spotsy
  16. No problem with fuel on the north end either. If you have any questions from Front Royal to say Roanoke let us know. I sure someone will help south of there as well. There are always a lot of deer and other animals up there so be careful. If you have never been on the mountain there, Skyline Drive has plenty of overlooks however the speed limit is 35 and enforced. Once you get on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Afton the views sort of go away however the speed goes to 45 and the roads are more sweeping. On the Skyline Drive, there's a place called Big Meadows. It's a good place to stop and eat. Not fancy but ok food and they have ice cream if you need a snack. They also have a lodge if you need a place to stay. There's a short walk from there to Black Rock, about 150 yards, great view and cell service. LOL If you're camping any, there's a MC campground at Meadows of Dan called Willville, nice place, not fancy but clean. Enjoy your trip. Spotsy
  17. After reading this this morning I let mine go further than usual. At 203 I hit reserve, at 230 I stopped for gas. It took 5.3 gallons and that was with some fairly hard running. Spotsy
  18. Well, my 2 cents worth. I have a 99 that I bought 5 years ago. I have the RK's punched as far as I can. I have K & N filters and I have had no problems. I took the plugs out when I bought the bike and they looked fine and that was about 30K ago. I have been thinking I should at least check them. The bike still runs fine with no issues so I haven't messed with them. I run 87 all the time with no issues. Just my experience. The decision is your's. :-) Spotsy
  19. N3FOL, so you're the one that out bid me on the bike. :-) I have a 99 now and you'll love the blue one. Good luck with it. Spotsy
  20. I just really wonder if that was a good deal? Just seems to good to be true. :-)
  21. Dang, I thought I was the only left with dialup. LOL
  22. He was just looking for a warm friend and all he got was a hoe. LOL Glad it turned out ok. We have a few of them out here as well. Been lucky the last few years and have not seen any of them. Maybe they got the message there not welcome. :-)
  23. Dang Dave, didn't know you got an 06 or if I did the old thing caught up with me. Glad the two of you are ok. Now, I told you not to take the bike. You wouldn't listen to me and on top of that you didn't listen to the Boss either. LOL So what color did you get? Luray area, heck I went over that way today. Through Madison, across the mountain, then 340 back to 33 and back across through Orange and home. It sure was a good ride today with the weather being so good. Take care Dave. Spotsy
  24. So Bob, did you actually look at the bike? Thanks.
  25. Don't forget Buckeye. He's always been up front with me and reasonable. I believe it's Rick and he's always been good to the fine folks on this site. http://www.buckeyeperformance.com/products.htm Spotsy
